"I swear,...I didn't fall out of nowhere, I think someone pushed me."

"Well, if that's the case, we need to search the entire castle...we don't want our Luna to be in danger," Duncan said.

"I'm not River Ash's Luna yet..." I said blushing, but he took my hand warmly.

"You are... I'm sure you have been for a long time," he told me cheerfully.

"Is it just my imagination, or are you much happier than before? Does that have something to do with a certain wonderful demoness?" I asked him, and he smiled even more.

"Maybe..." he said happily.

"Well, I'm very happy...", I confessed.

I wished I could spend more time with my mate as well. I knew he was meeting with Jeremiah and he was up to something...but I couldn't help it...I missed him so much.

I wasn't used to being in Asher's room when he wasn't there...it seemed like an interruption, but considering I didn't have a room to myself and he always insisted I could come in whenever I wanted, so I went over.

But from the first moment, I noticed something strange.

"What the hell...?" I muttered when I saw pieces of cloth on the floor.

I saw that many of my clothes had been torn to shreds, as well as his, but they were the ones I usually wore.

"Who could have done this?" I saw that there were women's clothes that were not mine.

I went to the bathroom and found underwear, makeup. I'm not a she-wolf, so I have no idea who these things belong to from the smell.

I felt my head spinning and I was desperate.

“Would he be with other women?"

Could it be that things were like this when I was not with him? I thought agitatedly, placing a hand on my chest.

This could not be happening.

Suddenly the door opened, and he was there, looking at me worriedly.

"Millie... What's wrong?" he asked, and he noticed the things strewn about.

"What happened here, who did this...?"

"Were you with someone in your room...?" I asked in a shaky voice as he picked up a pair of lace panties that certainly weren't mine.

"Mate... you won't believe that I..."

"Whose clothes are these?" I asked, almost scared.

"I don't know..." he said, walking towards me as I took a step back.

"Why are these things here, have you seen yourself with other women?"

"Mate...goddess.... Never! You can't doubt me...you know I would give anything for you. I've been waiting for you for years! I would never ruin what I have with you, and I would never see another woman!" he said desperately, his hands shaking and his expression overwhelmed.

"I was with Randall and you... "I said, and he looked at me insistently.

"I... I don't know who they belong to," he said lost, as if he didn't know how to give me an excuse when Duncan suddenly appeared.

"What's going on?"

"Someone did this in my room...destroyed our stuff," Asher said, still perplexed.

"There was another woman's stuff...in Asher's room," I said.

"You can call me a violent Alpha, that my wolf sometimes loses control...that I don't know how to follow rules.... But that I'm a wolf who's unfaithful to my mate! Never!" Asher said in despair.

"My Alpha would never play with his mate. Believe me, I have heard him crave you with all his soul for years. He worshipped you before he even knew you existed," the Beta said, already on the ground, checking things out.

"The smell is unfamiliar to me. I recognize the smells of everyone who works here, but this one... it seems new. But it's definitely a she-wolf," he said, and I panicked.

"So... there is someone strange in the castle," Asher said worriedly.

"I... I can't be here," I said, trying to leave the room when they stopped me. Asher held me tightly and looked into my watery eyes with a frightened expression on his face.

"I beg you, my mate... stay with me, we'll look for an explanation," he said, and I didn't know what to do.

I felt desperate and overwhelmed. I knew it wasn't the best choice for an Alpha like him, but this...

"Maybe this is all a trap," Duncan said, and we both turned around.

"Shhhhh," he said again, and we stood listening. I saw some girls talking, some castle workers.

"She told us that he's looking for a mate... so we just have to get closer."

"Are you sure? The big Alpha? The one with the long blond hair...strong as a bull?" another one asked in a small voice.

Goddess... of all the evils, I never thought I'd have competition. I mean, of course I did, they were strong and beautiful wolves.

I heard Asher growl as if he wanted to confront these women, but his Beta held him back.

"Who is that little girl who always seems to be with him?" asked another.

"A human mate? So tiny for this monumental man... I doubt it! He must be so well-endowed," said another, and they laughed. I wanted the hearth to swallow me up.

"I swear, if it wasn't for the new girl telling us, I would never have dared so much... he's a respectable Alpha who desperately needs a mate. And we can help him..." one of the girls continued when Asher suddenly couldn't control himself. The girls were frightened when he appeared.

"You're going to tell me who gave you this stupid idea... and you're going to tell me, now!"
