Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 158: A Maginificent being
Ava
As I walked through the castle, I couldn't tell if what I found was a zoo, a hell or a desert. I knew that my master's warriors had fought hard, but the strength of the enemies was brutal.
I was searching for the demons when I came across several rogues and hybrids. Anyone who got in my way I killed with a single blow.
For the others, this place was filled with death, but not for me. Not only did I know the castle inside and out, but I felt that my master was here somewhere; my body seemed to react to him.
I had to find him and protect him. I had to help in any way I could, to find his enemies first and kill them. I could feel my brothers growing weaker, but it would take much more to defeat these worms.
When I felt a terrible energy in the dungeons, I knew that the fate of everything would be decided there, and I wouldn't miss it for the world.
The evil allied alphas had paid dearly; I could see the bodies of several of them along the way, undoubtedly my brother, reclaiming the price of the alliance and the power they had gained for a short time.
They only cared about themselves, I always said, but I never imagined how much their ambitions had grown until I saw the huge and ferocious demon in front of me.
I had sensed for some time that several had died, at least two, and this one seemed to have taken full responsibility for what had happened. This had got completely out of control.
"My dear sister. I always thought you'd come at the worst possible time, but now I must say you've come at just the right time to see how I deal with these traitorous wolves,"
I had to say that both the big Alpha and the little vampire looked awful and beaten, but I was glad that at least they were alive.
A little further away I could feel my Master, Little thing, Jessica and Duncan... the most beautiful wolf in the world was also there.
"I have always considered myself a very effective woman," I say, standing next to my brother. He's as tall as a giant, and I see the suspicious looks on Asher and Jeremiah's faces, as if they didn't know whose side I was on. I had saved the Asher's life several times, but I understood his caution.
Anyway, here comes my great show.
"Prove your loyalty, demoness. Show these wolves what you are capable of," he says, and I feel his influence on me.
Randall still has my amulet, but the demons have him under their power. At least he wasn't as strong; I had insisted Randall to stop drinking vampire blood, and he had listened. That was crucial to my plans.
"They're already quite weak for me..." I say.
"Bring me the limping Alpha... and perhaps I can free you. If the human Luna offers any resistance, he will be good bait."
"But Alpha Randall wants him; he wants to finish the Alpha with his own hands," I reply and hear Asher growl.
"I don't care what that stupid Alpha wants or doesn't want. Where the hell is he? He's supposed to be on the front lines looking for his supposed mate, and he's gone."
I wished, I thought. I saw the chains coming out of my brother's hands; I knew he was going to great lengths, using much of his strength to pull off this trick.
"You have always had the advantage, Avalon. You came to the human world, you came out of hell when you didn't deserve it. We stayed and did the work! Now it's your turn to do the dirty work," he says, handing me a sword.
I want to swear at him, but instead I take the weapon very diligently.
I take a few steps forward without hesitation. The little vampire's hands are bleeding and he looks desperate. On one side I see Constantine's body and I have to hide my pain to keep up my facade. Asher roars again, full of rage.
"We meet again..." he says through clenched teeth.
"It was meant to be, sooner or later, but always in war," I say, getting into position to attack and he to defend. He has an injured leg, a grazed neck and several bruises and wounds.
As I brought my sword down on him, I saw him step back in astonishment. His eyes can't believe it, and he defends himself as best he can while I attack, moving the fight in the direction I want.
He almost hits me several times as everyone seems to take a breather from the surrounding battle, just watching us. It seems that whoever wins this will win the battle.
"Is that all you've got, Alpha? I'm not even at my best," I say, handling the sword like an expert.
At one point he knocks me to the ground and I roll to get up, now facing my brother. I continue to attack the Alpha, the sword cutting locks of his hair, then grazing his arm, and he groans in pain.
"A sword forged in hell... a real beauty," I say, and Jeremiah narrow his eyes. Does he understand my plan? Asher shakes and I see some warriors trying to help him.
"No! Anyone who helps the Alpha will face certain death!" my brother intimidates.
"Traitor!"
"Wretch!" the king's warriors yell at me as we continue the dance, and I get to the point I wanted to be. Asher covers me and I whisper to him:
"Stay still..." I act as attacking him but instead, I throw the sword, which falls directly into the joint of my arm and shoulder, cutting off my brother's arm as he screams in horror, and the chains fall to the ground.
"You bitch!" he shouts as the other warriors seem to regain their strength and attack our enemies.
"Get him!" I shout as Asher and I run towards the demon.
He attacks it in his wolf form, biting at his legs, while I search for the sword to kill my brother.
"Don't let him get close!" Jeremiah shouts.
I grab the sword and stab my brother in the sides and legs as the vampires face Jeremiah and our warriors hold off the hybrids and rogues.
"Enough games, I'm taking what's mine, no matter what," the demon says as he approaches the dungeon door, bleeding, and I see the chains keep hitting the door. Asher and Jeremiah despair.
"It's like the sword, and nothing we do can stop it!" I cry, fearing that he is unstoppable.
Suddenly something happens inside that door that makes the whole place vibrate. I feel a weird energy, and even the door, which seems to be very well locked, shakes.
"The demon can't get in there! No matter what happens!" Jeremiah shouts, and we all face the demon.
But my brother throws us into the air; whatever is happening gives him strength, and we seem like insects next to him.
I lay on the ground, thinking in horror that it had all been in vain and that they would finally win, when the door swung open... and a magnificent being appeared.
