King Lestat's Point of View

Ms. Jones, I need to speak with you really quickly," I said as everyone left the class. Sofia walked over to my desk. Her brother and her friend were waiting by the door. 

"Yes, Mr. King," Sofia asked

"I wanted to talk to you more about the scholarship opportunity. I know you don't want to meet with me outside of school because you know your boyfriends won't like it but I would like to talk to you about it here in class. I would like to talk to you now about it and I can give you a pass to your next class once we are finished. Your brother and friend can head to their classes now," I said, wanting to get them away. 

"I appreciate what you are trying to do for me but that is unnecessary, Mr. King,' Sofia said. I was getting angry and it was taking a lot of me to stay calm. 

"I don't understand. You are smart and I am trying to help you get into school. I know you and your mom don't have the money to pay for college. All I am trying to do is help you get into a college that you deserve to go to," I replied trying to stay calm

"Thanks for that but I won't need the scholarship. I am going to get going," Sofia said and she turned to walk away. 

"So the young Alpha is paying for your tuition. That is why you don't need my help. Is that why you are with him?" I asked angrily. Before she could speak her brother spoke

"That is none of your business, King Lestat. My sister told you that she didn't want or need your help, so I would appreciate it if you would leave her alone," his brother growled. I wanted to rip his head off, but I knew that would be a terrible idea, so I stayed in control of my emotions. 

"It's okay, Jason. Let's just go," Sofia said and they left. I walked over to the door and shut it. I wanted to kill someone. 

"It looks like things aren't going your way," Helena said

"Shut up," I growled. 

"Don't get mad at me. I am only trying to help you get what you want. You need to find a way to give her that potion before the next full moon which is next Saturday. You know that is when she will get her vampire and her powers will be at their strongest. The future werewolf king and the girl's mate bond will be at their strongest. Nothing will be able to tear them apart, not even the potion I gave you," Helena said

"They are not really mates. She is my beloved. He did something to trick her into believing they were mates," I growled

"They are mates, King Lestat. They have the most powerful mate bond in the world. They will only become stronger," Helena said

"That's not true," I replied

"You can deny it all you want, but deep down, you know it's true. If you really want her then you need to feed her that potion before it's too late," Helena said

"Why do you want me to give her this potion? You are keeping something from me. Is that why you killed Vera before she could finish telling me whatever she was going to tell me that night?" I asked

"No, I am not hiding anything from you. I am trying to help you. I owe you for when your father saved me all those years ago. I am doing this as a favor to him," Helena said. Something told me she was lying but I decided to ignore it. "Just make sure you give her that potion," Helena said and she disappeared. Even though I knew Helena was keeping something from me that didn't matter to me that much. All that mattered was making Sofia mine. She would be mine and we would rule all the realms together. 

Ethan's Point of View

"Okay, I think I have seen enough," my dad said as he woke up outside with Joe. I had already sent Layla and Brittany back to the Castle, and my mom already knew they were on their way. I was sure Joe would make a scene, and I didn't want Brittany to see that. 

"Where is Layla?" Joe asked

"She is coming back to the castle with us," I replied calmly

"What? No, that can't happen. She is mine," Joe said

"No, she isn't. You are not her fated mate. She doesn't have to be here if she doesn't want to be," I replied

"This is bull shit. You can't take her away from me. She is mine. You think that just because you are royalty you can do whatever you want. I am going to call the werewolf council," Joe said

"You can call them if you want. I am the king, and they can't do anything to me. You better hope she doesn't tell me that you mistreated her, or you will have to deal with me," my dad said in his Authoritative tone, causing Joe to bow his head in submission. My dad and I started walking to the next house. 

I couldn't help but wonder how many others were being forced to be with men who weren't their mates.
