Sofia's Point of View

I could feel through the bond that Ethan was nervous as Dr. Sally checked over me. 

"How have you been feeling? Have you had any morning sickness or anything?" Dr. Sally asked

"No, not really. I have been feeling the same," I replied

"Well, I am going to check the pup's heart rate and also do an ultrasound. That will help us figure out how far along you are and make sure the pup is healthy. I am also going to take some of your blood to run some tests, just to make sure all your vitamin levels are good," Dr. Sally said

"Okay," replied. 

I lay back on the bed and lifted my shirt over my stomach. Dr. Sally put some warm gel on my stomach and then put a monitor on it. I held Ethan's hand while we waited for Dr. Sally to find the pup's heartbeat. 

"That is your heartbeat," Dr Sally said, and then she moved the monitor around on my stomach and stopped when she heard a much faster heartbeat. "And that's the pup's heartbeat," Dr. Sally said

"Does it sound good?" Ethan asked

"Yes, the heartbeat is great," Dr. Sally replied, and Ethan seemed to relax, but he kept hold of my hand. Now, let's look at your pup," Dr. Sally said. A few minutes later, the nurse walked into the room with an ultrasound machine.  

Ethan's grip tightened on my hand and I squeezed his hand, causing him to look at me. "Stop worrying. I am sure everything is going to be fine," I said through the mind link and Ethan just smiled at me. Dr. Sally put some more of that warm gel on my stomach before she put the ultrasound stick on my stomach. "Let me see what we have here. Would you like to know the gender of your pup?" Dr. Sally asked

"You can find that out already?" I asked

"Yes, our machine is more advanced than the ones the humans use. We can tell the gender two weeks after being pregnant, and it looks like you are about five weeks pregnant," Dr. Sally said

"Really?" I asked shocked

"Yep," Sally replied 

"What do you think, My Love. Would you like to know the gender?" Ethan asked

"Honestly, I want to wait. What do you think?" I asked

"We will wait," Ethan replied. 

"Hold on a moment," Dr. Sally said. She was looking at the monitor with a weird look on her face. 

"What's wrong? Is the pup okay?" Ethan asked worriedly

"There is nothing wrong with the pup. It looks like you aren't just having one baby. You are having two," Dr. Sally said

"Huh?" I asked shocked

"Yep, there are two pups in your belly," Dr. Sally said

I was so shocked that we were having more than one pup. I was nervous knowing I was pregnant with one baby, and now I find out I am pregnant with two. 

"I am so happy, My Love. We are going to have two pups," Ethan said as he got into the driver's seat. We had just left the hospital and were about to leave to go home. It seemed like Ethan and I had changed emotions. Ethan was excited, and I was nervous. 

"I can't believe you are not worried about having two pups," I said

"I didn't say I wasn't worried. I am a nervous wreck but I am still excited. Aren't you happy?" Ethan asked

"Of course I am happy. I am just nervous. We aren't just having one baby now we are having two," I said and Ethan placed his hand in mine. 

"You know there is nothing to worry about. Everything will be okay. We can do this," Ethan said

"You seem so sure," I replied

"You do remember that Ella and I are twins, right? I am sure my parents were worried when they found out they were having twins and everything worked out," Ethan said. 

"I guess you are right. I am sorry for acting like this. I am just so nervous. What if one of our pups thinks I am showing the other more attention? What if they have a sibling rivalry? I don't want to mess up," I said 

"Hey, we won't mess anything up. I know you will be the best mother. You are loving and caring. Our pups are going to be so happy to have you as their mother," Ethan said and that made me smile. He always knows what to say.

"I love you," I said

"Not as much as I love you," Ethan replied

"There the two of you are. I was wondering where you were," my dad said

"We just had an appointment. Oh, and Sof and I were wanting to invite everyone to dinner tomorrow. We have some important news," Ethan said

"Is everything okay?" Stacie asked

"Yes, Everything is fine," I replied

"That's great. Oh, Grandma Mandy wanted me to tell you that your mom called again," My dad said, causing me to frown. My mom had been trying to talk to me, but I still didn't know if I should talk to her. I knew she wanted me to give her another chance, but I was worried she was going to betray me again. I know in the end, she helped us defeat King Lestat and Helena, but I still felt like she had betrayed me way too many times. 

"Oh, okay," I said

"She wants to talk to you, but it is up to you if you want to speak to her or not," Stacie said, and I smiled. Sometimes, I wondered how things would have been if Stacy had been my mom. She treated me like I was her daughter, which was way better than my mom had ever treated me. 

Ethan and I talked to Stacy and my dad for a while before heading to our room. We had invited Ella, Tammie, and Eric to dinner along with Jason, Nick, and my grandparents. Grandpa Damon was also coming to dinner. We had called him, and he was more than thrilled to come. Now, I had to figure out if I wanted to invite my mom. 

I decided that it was time for me to speak to her. I had been avoiding her for months, and she deserved to find out from me that I was pregnant. I picked up my cell phone and dialed her number. She answered on the first ring.

"Sof, I am so shocked to be hearing from you," my mom said

"Hi, mom. I was wondering if you would come to dinner tomorrow night."
