Ethan's Point of View

"How long is this going to take?" I asked. My dad, Don, Nick, Jason, and I were standing outside of Vera's Coven while the witch's council cast a spell to lift the shield Vera had over her Coven. The Witch's council decided that it would be a better idea to lift the shield and not tell Vera that we were on our way, and I agreed. I was sure if they told her that we were on our way to get Jane and her for what they had tried to do to Sof, they would have run away, and there was no telling when we would find them or if they would go after Sof. 

"They are almost done, Alpha. It takes time to lift someone else's shield," One of the Witches said, and I sighed.

We had been there for over an hour, and they still hadn't lifted the shield. I was getting agitated mostly because I missed Sofia so much and couldn't wait until we got Jane and Vera so that I could go home to my mate. It was hard being away from her, and it was getting harder by the day. Our mate bond was strong, and it was getting harder for me not to make her mine completely, but I was determined to wait until her eighteenth birthday to finish the mating process. I was sure she had a wolf. Me and my wolf could feel it.  The closer we got to her eighteenth birthday, the more I was sure her wolf was still there. 

About thirty minutes later, they had finished their spell, and they teleported us into Vera's mansion. There were some of Vera's coven members in the front room where we were teleported in. They were all staring at us with shocked expressions on their faces. 

"I didn't know the council was coming here?" One of the members said

"We are here to see Vera. Do you know where she is right now?" 

"Yes, I will take you to her office," One of the Coven Members said, and we followed them to the office. 

When we got there, I was shocked to see that there was no one in the room.

"She said she was going to be in her office. Maybe she went to the she-wolves room?" the member said

"She wolf," the Witch's Council Member asked.

"Yeah, she brought a she-wolf here a few weeks ago. No one gets along with her," the coven member said

"Take us to her room," I said, and the Witch's Council member looked at the councilwoman, who nodded, letting her know it was okay to take us there. 

"Okay, follow me." We followed her to the room and when we opened the door I was shocked to see there was no one there. 

"Look around for Vera and she-wolf," The witch's council member said, and everyone started to look for them. We made it to Vera's room to see a note on her bed. The coven member picked up the note, and instantly, a frown went to his face. "She is gone," she said

I took the note out of her hand and growled when I read what was written. "It isn't going to be that easy to get us. You better watch out, Alpha Ethan. Don't think I won't finish what I started."

"Thanks for inviting me to go shopping with you, Sofia. I was hoping we could go to dinner together tomorrow," My mom said. We had just gotten to her apartment to drop her off.

"Sure, that sounds nice," I said

"Okay, I will see you tomorrow night. Goodbye, Tammie, Stacie," My mom said

"Goodbye, Tina," Tammie said, and my mom walked into her apartment. 

"That was something," Ella said once we got to my room. Ella was spending the night with me, which made me happy. I was already missing Ethan like crazy, and I honestly didn't want to be alone.

"Yeah, it was," I replied

"I can't believe your mom wanted you to wear that short dress," Ella said

"I can. She has always been like that. She believes that the more skin you show, the better," I said

"That isn't a good thing to tell your daughter," Ella said

"I know," I replied

"Well, anyway, I am going to get the snack, and then we can pick a movie," Ella said

"That sounds like a good idea," I said, and then the doorbell went off. I walked over to open the door to see Lacy standing there. 

"Hey, Sof. I was wondering if I could join you on your girls' night?" Lacy said, and I looked at Ella, who had a frown on her face. 

"Um, sure," I replied 

"Are you sure? I don't want to impose. Are you okay with me joining you, Ella?" Lacy asked

"Yeah, of course I am," Ella said with a fake smile on her face. 

"Great," Lacy said as she walked into the room.
