Sofia's Point of View

"We need you to tell us about this group," I said

"There are so many of them. Some are even in the castle already and they are planning on killing you, Queen Sofia," King Edward said shocking me. Ethan growled and pulled my body close to his protectively. 

"What do you mean they want to kill her?" Ethan asked

"They feel that if they kill Queen Sofia then they can kill all of you. You all know that we have never heard of a woman being the ruler of any supernatural species. Queen Sofia is the first and some think that was a mistake. They beleive that because she is the ruler the werewolves are weaker now. So, they believe that it is time to attack since you are at your weakest," King Edward said

"And whose idea was it to do this? Yours," Ethan asked

"No, believe it or not I am not the leader fo the group. Monte' is the leader. He is the one that believes a woman is too weak to rule a species. I never believed that. I saw what you did to king Lestat when he tried to take you. I know you are very strong and capable of ruling. That was why I came up with the idea to have you come to me so that I would have an advantage. But I wasn't expecting for you to come with my beloved," Kind Edward said. "Look, I know you don't like or trust me but I am the only one that can help you. There are many werwolves that are apart of the group that wants you dead and I can help you," King Edward said

"And why would you want to do that?" my dad said

"Because they don't only want to kill your daugher. They also want to kill my mate. I have to protect her," King Edward said, and I knew he was telling the truth. 

"There is no way you are coming with us. I don't trust you," Ethan said. 

"Ethan Eric, Dad, can I talk to you guys outside?" I asked

"I am not leaving him here," Eric said, and suddenly, someone walked into the room

"I will stay here with them," Grandpa Damon said. 

"Okay, let's go," Eric said and we headed outside. 

"I think we should let him come back to the castle with us," I said and they looked at me with shocked expressions on their faces.

"You can't be serious, Sofia. Why would you want to let him come back with us after everything he did? You can't believe he is telling us the truth," Ethan said

"I know he is telling the truth, Ethan. I can feel it," I said

"I don't know, Princess. He just told us he was a part of a group that wanted us all dead. What if this is a trick to get us to let him in the castle so that he can turn on us in the end?" my dad asked

"Exactly. I am sure he is trying to trick us. He wants to gain our trust so that he can turn on us and kill us all in the end. We can't trust him, Sof," Ethan said

"I know he is telling the truth. You guy always tell me to follow my instincts. We have to let him come with us. Don't you trust me?" I asked and they looked at each ohter before sighing

"Fine, we will let him come with us but we will be keeping a close eye on him. I still don't trust him," Ethan said and I smiled.

"We also need to keep him away from Ella. I don't want him anywhere near her after what he did to her," Eric added and I frowned. 

"They are mates. I think that should be Ella's choice," I said

"Ella already said she wanted nothing to do with him. Not after what he did to her. I am sure she will be with us on this one," Ethan said and I sighed. 

I shuold have known they were going to want to keep them apart. I only hoped they would be able to work all of this out. Ella deserved to be happy and with her mate. 

We walked back into the room, and Ethan spoke. 

"You can come with us, but you will be watched. If you do anything suspicious, you will be kicked out of the castle. We are only letting you come to help us figure out who is a part of the group you are talking about," Ethan said

"Anything else?" King Edward asked

"And we expect you to stay away from my daughter," Eric said, and King Edward looked at him. He was silent for a moment before replying.

"I will stay away from her if that is what she wants," King Edward said, and Ethan smiled. 

"Trust me. I am sure she will never want to speak to you again."
