Sofia's Point of View

After making it to Ethan and my floor, I headed to our room to shower. While I was in the shower, I couldn't stop thinking about Cindy and how she was flirting with Ethan. It was obvious she liked him. I was sure whatever she wanted to talk to him about wasn't that important, and I was hurt that he told me to head back to our floor while he stayed with her.

Once I was finished showering, I put on my clothes, brushed my teeth, and combed my hair. I decided to wear a pair of jeans and a red blouse. I put my hair in a high ponytail and walked out of the bathroom. A few minutes after leaving the bathroom, I heard the doorbell and went to get the door. 

When I opened the door, Ella was standing on the other side waiting for me. 

"Hey, girl. I was hoping I could borrow your notes for the math test that we have today," Ella said

"Sure, let me get them," I replied, and I took my notes out of my backpack for her to see.

"Thanks. I will give them back to you before the test," Ella replied

"Okay," I said and sat on the couch. 

"Where's my brother?" Ella asked

"Cindy said she needed to talk to him about something important after training," I replied, and Ella sat next to me on the couch. 

"Are you okay, Sof? I know something happened between you and Ethan this morning," Sof asked. I was about to tell her, but then I started feeling excruciating pain in my chest. I placed my hand on my chest, trying to ease it. 

"What's wrong, Sof?" Ella asked

"I don't know. My chest started hurting all of a sudden," I replied. 

"We need to get you to the pack doctor," Ella said worriedly

"No, I am fine. I just need to lie down," I said, and I got up from the couch. I was about to walk to Ethan and my room to lie down, but the pain got even worse, causing me to groan and fall to the ground.

"Sof, what's wrong?" Ella asked as she kneeled in front of me

"I don't know, but my heart hurts really badly, Ella. Ahh," I screamed. 

"Just hold on, Sof. The Pack Doctor is on the way," Ella said. Suddenly, the door opened, and Tammie walked into the room.

"What happened?" Tammie asked

"I don't know. We were sitting on the couch talking, and suddenly she said her chest heart. I can only think of one reason her chest would be hurting. If Ethan is the cause of this, I will..." Ella started to say, but her mom cut her off

"Don't think like that, Sof," Tammie replied, and Sof shocked me with what she said next. She whispered it, and I was sure she didn't think I would hear her, but I did. 

"She said Ethan stayed after training to speak to Cindy," Ella said

"Ethan would never cheat on Sof," Tammie whispered back

"Then why is she in so much pain?" Ella asked

"You think Ethan is cheating on me?" I asked, and they looked at me. Their facial expressions told me they were shocked that I had heard them. Suddenly, Ethan walked into the room with the Doctor. 

"Sof, Love, are you alright?" Ethan asked, and I asked him the one question I needed the answer to

"What were you and Cindy doing?" I asked 

"You know Cindy had something important to tell me," Ethan said, but I could tell by his facial expression that he was lying, and that made my chest hurt even more. 

"You are lying," I said before darkness consumed me

Ethan's Point of View

"Sof," I said as Sofia passed out. 

"We need to get her to the pack hospital," the Pack Doctor said. I picked Sof up bridal style and carried her to the Pack Hospital. Once we got there, we walked into one of the rooms, and I placed her on the bed. I watched as the Doctor and nurses worked on Sof.

"Is she okay, Doc?" I asked.

"I believe so, but I need to know what happened before she passed out?" the Doctor asked.

"We were talking, and suddenly she told me her chest hurt," Ella said, and then she started to glare at me. "What happened between you and Cindy?" Ella asked

"Ella," My mom said

"What? Everyone in this room knows there is only one explanation for what happened to Sof, so we need to know what happened," Ella said.

"Sof, you," My mom started to say, but I cut her off. 

"Cindy kissed me," I said

"What? Why would you kiss her?" My mom asked

"I didn't kiss her. She kissed me. Cindy told me that she needed to talk to me about something important. She started talking about stuff that wasn't important, so I told her I was going to leave. Then, she started telling me that I should reject Sofia and make her my mate. I immediately told her I would never do that, and then she shocked me by kissing me. I pushed her away once I was over my shock. I yelled at her for kissing me and then went to Sof and my floor to see her on the ground," Ethan said

"If that was what happened, then why didn't you tell SOf when she asked what happened with you and Cindy?" Ella asked

"I didn't want to upset her," I replied

"I believe I know what's going on. Luna Sof was in pain because Cindy kissed you," the doctor said

"But they haven't finished the mate bond yet," Ella said

"Yeah, and how could she be in that much pain when Cindy only kissed him? They didn't even have sex," Ella added

"I don't know for sure, but I suspect it is because Luna Sof and Alpha Ethan's bond must be very strong. Stronger than most mate bonds. I have never seen someone that was not fully mated in this much pain from a kiss," The doctor replied

Sofia started to groan, which caused everyone to look at her. When I looked into her eyes, I could see she was already looking at me with tears in her eyes.
