Sofia's Point of View

"Is that from Ethan?" my mom asked

"Yes," I replied

"What did he say?" My mom asked

"He told me that he didn't kiss Lacy. He said that she kissed him, and he pushed her away," I said

"Yeah, right. If he did that, then you would have seen it," My mom said

"He said I left before he did it," I said

"Yeah, right," My mom said, and I stayed silent

"You don't believe him, do you?" My mom asked. Before I could answer, there was a knock on the door. 

"I wonder who that could be," my mom said, and she got off the couch and went to open the door. When she got up, my phone started to ring, and I looked at it to see Ella was calling me. I got off the couch and walked to my old room so that I could talk to her in private.

"Hello," I said 

"Sof, thank the Goddess you answered. I want you to listen to me. Ethan did not kiss Lacy. She kissed him," Ella said 

"How do you know that, Ella? I saw him kiss her. You weren't there," I said

"You know Ethan hates Lacy, Sof. Why would he mess with her?" I thought about what she was saying and knew she was right. Ethan didn't like Lacy. He wanted to kick her out of the castle after everything she said. "Not only that but if he kissed her willingly, you would have felt his betrayal. Did you feel any pain?" Ella asked. I never even thought of that. I was so upset that I just ran. 

"No, I didn't," I said. 

"See. I am on my way to your mom's house, and Ethan is with me. We will be there soon," Ella said

"Okay," I replied.

"Ethan wants to speak to you. Do you want to speak to him?" Ella asked

"Yes," I said

"Sofia, I am so sorry you had to see that. I promise I pushed her away. I didn't want her to kiss me," Ethan said

"I believe you. I am sorry for leaving. I should have talked to you first," I said, and then I heard my mom arguing with someone. 

"What's going on?" Ethan asked, and I walked back into the family room. I was shocked to see three of the guards Ethan had assigned to watch me blocking Mr. King from entering the apartment. 

"I am sorry, King Lestat, but you can't be here," one of the guards said. 

"King Lestat is there," Ethan asked.

"Yes, he is standing in front of my mom's door, but the guards won't let him in," I said

"This is ridiculous. I am here to speak to one of my students and their mom about her future. I contacted Ms. Jones's mom and let her know that I wanted to speak to her about everything because she is a very smart young woman. She told me I could come over. Isn't that right, Tina?" Mr. King asked, looking at my mom. My mom was quiet for a moment before responding.

"Yes, that is correct," My mom said, but I could tell she was uncomfortable about something.

"We are parking now, Sof," Ella said. Ethan must have given her the phone. 

Mr. King kept arguing with the guards, and my mom was looking nervous. 

"Sofia," I heard Ethan say. The guards moved out of the way so that he could come inside. Ella walked in after him. 

"What are you doing here?" Mr. King asked angrily

"I am here to get my mate. You need to leave," Ethan replied

Tina invited me over to talk about her daughter's future. If you were her mate, you would care about her future, and you wouldn't have cheated on her with her cousin," Mr. King said, causing me to look at him

"How did you know about that?" I asked, and then I looked at my mom

"Did you tell him what I told you?" I asked, and I could tell she did by the expression on her face

"She was trying to look out for you," King Lestat said

"Why are you still here? You need to leave," Ethan said. His eyes were black as night, letting me know his wolf was at the surface

"I am not leaving," Mr. King replied. His eyes were turning red. I knew that if I didn't do something, they would end up fighting. I definitely didn't want that. I placed my hand on Ethan's shoulder, causing him to look at me. 

"It's okay, Ethan. Let's just go home," I said, and Ethan sighed before nodding his head. 

"That sounds like a good idea," Ethan said, and then he looked at Mr. King. "We are leaving now, so you can go in now," Ethan said. I could tell by Mr. King's facial expression that he was pissed off. Ethan put his hand around my waist and pulled me close to him, and we walked out of the house. Ella walked on the other side of me while the guards walked behind me. 

The only thing I could think about while we were leaving was why my mom would tell Mr. King what happened between Ethan and me and whether she really invited him over to talk about my future or if it was for something else.
