Sof's Point of View

"I think I know how Queen Gina got in here and how she escaped," I said

"How?" Ethan asked

"We all know that someone has to be working with them from the castle, which means there is a traitor here. I believe whoever that is has to have been one of the guards that was working in the jail. Most likely one that was assigned to watch her," I said

"Okay, but how are we going to figure out who that is?" Ethan asked

"We have to figure out the ones that were working at the time the Queen Gina escaped and when she came in to get Ava. Also, there has to be someone working with her with power. So that means they must be working with someone of a higher rank. I don't know who that could be, but I feel that once we figure out which guard betrayed us, we should be able to get them to tell us the rest," I said

"That's a good idea. Let's head to the jail," Ethan said. Ethan and Edward called all the guards to meet us at the jail. They were all waiting for us when we arrived. 

"Hello, everyone. As you know, Ava escaped from her cell today. That should not have been able to happen, so we know someone from the inside must have helped her escape. That is why we called you all here. We need to know who was all working the night Queen Gina escaped," Ethan said. 

"Everyone who was here that night come forward," Edward said, and all the men who were in the jail at the time of Queen Gina's escape stepped forward. 

"Those were the ones that worked on the day of Queen Gina's escape, but they were not guarding her at the time. The only one who was guarding her at that time was killed," one of the leading guards said

"Okay, I want all of them to wait in separate rooms until one of us comes to see them," I said

"Yes, Queen Sofia."

"There were  ten guards working at the time. Now we need to figure out which ones were working when Ava escaped," I said. We were all in the security room at the jail trying to figure this out. 

"Well, it looks like two of them were working today and one of them was supposed to be guarding Ava," Edward said

"Who?" I asked and I looked down to see that a guard named Matt was guarding her. I looked at the record and learned that he wasn't even supposed to be working that night. 

"He has to be the one," I said

"We have to be sure it was him," Ethan said

"Okay, I know just how to make sure it was him," I said. We made our way to the room where Matt was. When we walked in I could tell he was nervous by the way he was shaking. 

"Hello, Matt. We have some questions for you. You were working the night Queen Gina got away, and you were working when Ava was taken," Ethan said

"Yes, but I was not guarding Queen Gina that night," Matt said

"No, but you were one of Ava's guards today," I said

"Yes, I was," Matt replied

"It said you came in on your day off that night Queen Gina escaped," I said

"Yes, I asked if I could work extra hours, and they said I could come in that night," Matt said

"But you haven't worked any extra hours after that night. Why did you want to come in for extra hours?" I asked

"Because I needed the money," Matt replied

"Then why didn't you work overtime after? Did you even ask for it?" I asked, and Matt stayed silent. He was getting even more nervous. 

"Look, I am just going to get to the point. I am sure you helped Queen Gina escape, and Ava as well."

"No, I swear I had nothing to do with it. I would never betray you." I didn't have time to go back and forth with him. I needed the answers now and I knew just how I could get them

"I am commanding you to tell me if you helped Queen Gina escape?" I said using my command. I didn't like using it, but I had to.

"Yes, I did," Matt said

"Why did you do it?" Ethan asked.  Edward looked like he wanted to kill him.

"Because, she is dangerous. We shouldn't have a hybrid as our leader. I have to help Queen Gina. It is the only way to save our realm," Matt said

"How dare you speak like that about your queen?" Ethan said angrily

"She is not my queen," Matt said

"I know you didn't do this alone. Who helped you?"
