Forbidden Fruit: Mated To My Sister's Best Friend Chapter 252
Ava's Point of View
I was nervous when I walked into the room where the woman who had raised me my whole life was lying in bed, unable to move. When I saw her, it broke my heart seeing her so helpless. My entire life, she had been a strong woman, but now she was weak.
"Are you okay?" Sof asked me. It was crazy that even though I hurt he,r she still seemed to care about me. I felt terrible about the things that I did to Sofia. I wished I could take it all back, but I knew I couldn't.
"I am fine," I replied. I walked closer to my mom and her eyes went on mine. "Ava, you came to see me," she said weakly.
"Yes, I did."
"Hello, Queen Gina," Sof said and she walked over to where I was standing. My mom looked and her and glared
"What do you want? Are you going to kill me?" My mom asked
"No, there is no reason to do that with your current situation, but you won't be staying here," Sofia said and then she looked at me. "I will be sending her away. If you want she can go with you. I will give you two time to speak," Sof said and then she left
"I know I was wrong for what I did to you but you are my daughter and I know you will take care of me. We should leave here as soon as possible before that Bitch changes her mind," my mom said. I couldn't believe she was talking to me like she didn't try to kill me.
"That is not going to happen," I said and my mom looked at me with a shocked expression on her face.
"You can't possibly be thinking about staying here. She will never let you do that. Even if she did, everyone hates you. You will always be an outsider. They will never care about you," my mom said. I thought about all the times she told me that no one would care about me but her. She was always nice to me. Always gave me what I wanted and needed but she would always talk down on me.
"I remember when I wanted to be apart of the math club in school. When I came home and told you that you told me that I wouldn't make it. You always said things to make me doubt myself," I said
"What are you talking about, Ava. I always treated you good. You know that," my mom said.
"Yes, you did treat me right but whenever I wanted to join something at school or get a job you always said something to make me feel that I wouldn't be able to do it. I used to think it was about you were looking out for me but now I know it was because you wanted to control me," I said
"That's not true," My mom said
"I won't be staying here but I won't take care of you either. I just wanted to tell you that I am no longer going to let you use me for you own personal gain," I said and then I turned and started to walk away
"Ava, you are nothing but an evil girl. I took care of you and you are going to leave me like this. I can't even move," my mom said. Before, her words would make me feel bad but not anymore.
"Goodbye, forever Queen Gina," I said and she looked at me with a shocked expression. I knew it was because I called her Queen Gina. When I left Sofia was standing by the door. "I am not going to take care of her," I said and Sofia nodded
"I understand. I will have the guards take you to the border tomorrow," Sofia said and the guards took me back to my cell. On the way I couldn't' stop the tears from coming from my eyes. Yes, I was done being used by Queen Gina but that didn't' stop the pain I was feeling from losing the one woman who raised me.
When I got back to the cell Tina was waiting by the door. "Ava, are you alright?" She asked and I just broke down. I was shocked when Tina wrapped her arms around me and told me it would be okay.
"I know it hurts but you did the right thing," Tina said
"I guess but I did a lot of bad things before this," I replied
"true but so have I. You are doing better than I did. It took me way longer to change. You are eighteen and are making better choices than I did."
"Sofia will never forgive me," I said
"Yes, she will," Tina said and I looked at her.
"I doubt it," I said
"She forgave me and I hurt her way more times than you did. Just keep changing for the better and I am sure she will forgive you. You are leaving tomorrow and I was hoping you would take me up on that offer of driving you. I have a home for you and some money so that you can start out. I would also like to visit you but only if you are okay with it," Tina said
"I think that sounds like a good idea," I said and Tina looked at me with a shocked expression.
"Really?" Tina asked
"Really."
