Sofia's Point of View

"We are almost here. Hold on," Ethan said as we made our way downstairs. I knew he was frustrated, and so was I. We tried to ignore the knock, but whoever was knocking wouldn't stop. So, we got out of the tub, put on our clothes, and were now heading down to the door.

Ethan opened the door, and I was shocked to see Ava standing there. I could tell she had been crying because her eyes were red and puffy.

"Ava, what's wrong? Did something happen?" I asked worriedly. She shocked me when she came over to me and hugged me tightly.

"It's okay," I said as I hugged her back. I looked at Ethan, and he looked at me with a confused look on his face. We went into the living room to talk. Blake and I sat beside each other while she sat across from us. 

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I don't know if I should tell you. I don't want to cause any trouble," Ava replied

"Hey, tell me," I said 

"Tina and I were making potions. I was trying to get to know her because she is my birth mother, but she got all upset. She told me that I am not her daughter and that she doesn't want anything to do with me. She said she wished I had never shown up," Ava said as tears started falling from her eyes. 

"What? She said that?" I asked

Yes, I asked her why she didn't want anything to do with me and she told me that it's because I am weak and don't deserve her as my mother. She said she wants to be in your life now because you are the queen and can make her life better," Ava said. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How could my mom say something so evil? I guess I shouldn't be that shocked. It isn't like she a good mother to me while I was growing up. 

"I can't believe she would do that," I said and I got up from the couch.

"Hold up, where are  you going?" Ethan asked

"To talk to my mom," I replied

"Hold on, Love. Calm down. I am sure there must be a misunderstanding," Ethan said

"See, I knew I shouldn't have said anything. I knew you wouldn't believe me. Well, your mate doesn't believe me. Everyone hates me," Ava said

"Hold on. I never said I didn't believe you or that I hate you. I just think we should calm down and think clearly before talking to your mother," Ethan said. Deep inside I knew he was right but I was just so pissed. 

"I need to talk to her now," I said as I walked out the door. When we got outside, Stacie and my dad were waiting. "What are you doing here?" I asked

"I mind linked your dad and let him know what was going on," Ethan said. Ethan, Ava, and I got into Ethan's one car while my dad and Stacie got into another car.

"Sof," Ethan said before I could knock on the door. As soon as we got to her house I got out of the car and made my way to her door. My mom opened the door and looked shocked to see us all outside

"What's going on?" My mom said

"I will tell you what's going on. Why did you tell Ava that you wanted nothing to do with her? How could you be so cruel to her when she just wanted to get to know you?" I asked

"What? I didn't do any of that. I told her I wanted to get to know her but she said she wanted nothing to do with me," My mom said and then she looked at Ava. "Ava, why are you making things up?" 

"I only told her what you said," Ava said with her head down. 

"You know that is not true. Why are you lying? Are you trying to come between Sofia and me?" My mom said, and Ava stayed silent. "That's what it is, isn't it?" My mom said

"No, I would never do that," Ava said

"You are just trying to make trouble, aren't you?" my mom said

"Okay, everyone, calm down. Sof, you take Ava back to the packhouse," Stacie said

"I can't believe you would say those things. I thought you changed, but I guess I was wrong," I said, and I walked back to the car with Ethan and Ava.

"So, Ava came to your room late at night and told you that your mom said all those things?" Ella asked. We were in her room talking. Ethan was in his office talking with my dad. 

"Yeah. I can't believe my mom would do that. I really thought she changed," I said

"I think your mom might be telling the truth. Ava could be lying. Your mom and everyone else has been trying to get to know her but she acts like she wants nothing to do with any of us. Well, besides you. I wasn't lying when I told you I saw her trying to go into your room.  I know you don't wanna hear this but I really believe Ava is up to something. I don't trust her," Ella said

I thought about what Ava said and hoped she was wrong. "Ava is different but I don't believe she is up to something," I said.

"I hope you are right," Ella said.
