Ava's Point of View

"I am sorry about that," Sof said as she walked into the room holding Hope. 

"He really doesn't seem to like me," I said

"Don't worry about it. He is just worried because of what happened the last time. I told him you changed. Just give him some time," Sof said  

"he doesn't seem to believe you. You would think he would trust your judgement, but it seems like he doesn't." Sof just looked at me after I made that comment. "I am sorry. I don't want to cause any problems between you two. I'm just worried that he might not see how truly special you are. I don't want him to see you as weak or something," I said, and she just stared at me. "I talk too much. Just forget what I said.;

"No, you are absolutely right. Thanks," Sof said, and I smiled. We hung out the rest of the day. We decided to go for a walk. Sof had Jr. and Hope in their carseats and attached them to the double stroller. While we were walking we ran into Ella and King Edward. I hoped they wouldn't see us but they did. 

"Hey, Sof, Ava," Ella said. I didn't miss he cold look she threw my way. I knew she didn't like me,

"Hello," I said

"Hey," Sof said

"Can I talk to you for a minute, Sof?" Ella asked

"Sure," Sof said and she looked at me. "I will be back in a minute," Sof said

"Okay," I replied and they left me outside with King Edward. I was nervous around him. He was a terrifying man. 

"You seem to be getting along with Sofia. It's as if the things you did in the past never happened," King Edward said as he stared at me with a blank expression. I hated that I didn't know what he was thinking. 

"I guess Sof understands how sorry I am," I said

"ARe you really sorry?" King Edward said

"Yes," I replied

"You do know that if you are hiding something, we will find out. Nothing stays hidden forever. Also, you should know that I will kill anyone who harms my beloved," King Edward said

"It's a good thing I don't want to harm anyone. I just want to be here for my sister," I said and he just kept staring at me with that same blank expression. 

"Sof," I heard Ella say as Sof walked over to me

"I don't want to hear it, Ella. We are done talking," Sof said, and then she looked at me. "Let's go," Sof said as she grabbed my hand and we walked away with her pushing the stroller

"Something is not right," I heard Ella say to King Edward as we left. 

"Is everything alright?" I asked as we got farther away from the castle. 

"Yes... No. I am so sick and tired of everyone acting like I don't know what I am doing. Everyone thinks I am making a mistake letting you stay here," Sof said

"You know I didn''t to say anything, but I overheard Ethan and Ella saying you didn't deserve to be queen. They are afraid that because you were born with the humans that you are not qualified to be queen," I said

"They said that? When?" Sof asked

"Before I left the first time. I was afraid to tell you because I thought you wouldn't believe me after everything I said before," I said

"I guess I am not surprised. They always watch over me like I am going t make a mistake. I just wish they would trust me," Sof said

"Where have you been?" Ethan asked as we walked back into their room

"I went for a walk with Ava," Sof said

"You could have told me. I was worried," Ethan said

"Why, because you thought I was too stupid to go for a walk?" Sof asked

"No, that isn't what I said, Sof. What's going on with you? You have been acting strange, Ethn said

"I am fine," Sof said 

"Um, I should go and give you two some space," I said

"Goodbye, Ava. Thanks for hanging out with me today," Sof said, and then I left. On my way out the door, I could hear them arguing. I couldn't help the smile that came to my face. My plan was working. 

When I got to my room, I called my mom. 

"How is everything going?" My mom asked

"Everything is going great. They are already arguing. I need to get her away from here soon. It seems they are starting to get suspicious," I said

"Then you need to convince her to come with you soon. We can't let anyone ruin our plan, especially that mate of hers," my mom said

"I know."
