Forbidden Fruit: Mated To My Sister's Best Friend Chapter 173
Ella's Point of View
Everyone left the room, and I was stuck with him. I tried my best not to feel anything for him, but if I was being honest with myself, I knew that was impossible. King Edward was the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life. He smelled better than anything. All I wanted for him to do was wrap his arms around me but I knew that would be a terrible idea. We just found out we were mates, and he had already hurt me more than anyone else in the world. No one had ever made me feel as bad as he had made me feel.
"Thanks for talking to me. I know I don't deserve it," King Edward said. We were sitting across from each other at the long conference table.
"No, you don't," I replied. I was looking him in the eye with a blank expression on my face. I was trying to be brave and I hoped he didn't see how nervous I really was.
"I want to tell you how sorry I am for everything I did to you," King Edward said
"You have already told me that," I replied, and King Edward sighed
"I know, but I really want you to know I am being sincere. I wish I could go back in time and change everything that happened, but I can't. All I can do is promise that I will make it up to you. If you give me the chance to," King Edward said
"Why should I give you a chance? All you have done was hurt me. You don't deserve a chance," I said
"I know I don't, but I promise I didn't mean for that to happen with Lil. She only sucked my dick," King Edward said
"And that makes it better?" I asked
"No, it doesn't. That is why I killed her. You have no idea how disgusted I feel about what she did. I can't even imagine sleeping with anyone else now that I found you. You are the only one I am attracted to. I don't know how it is with werewolves, but when vampires find their beloved, their other half, it is like our heart starts beating for the first time. We live for our beloveds. We would do anything for them. I would do anything for you. You are the only reason I live," King Edward said
What he said made me feel joy and I didn't like it. It also made me feel concern. "You killed her?" I asked
"She drugged me and took advantage of me, which caused you to feel pain. Of course, I killed her, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would kill anyone who dared to hurt you," King Edward said
"I don't want you to do that. I don't want anyone to die because of me," I said and King Edward looked at me with a concerned expression
"I scared you, didn't I? I didn't mean to scare you. You don't have to be afraid of me, Mon Amour. I would never harm you in any way," King Edward said
"But you already did," I whispered, and King Edward sighed
"I know that Mon Amour and you have no idea how terrible I feel, how sorry I am for hurting you," King Edward said
"You keep apologizing, but that won't change what you did," I replied
"You are right. That is why I plan on making it up to you. I promise to make you see that I would never harm you or anyone you care about," King Edward said
"Does that mean you won't hurt any werewolves?" I asked and King Edward was silent for a moment
"As long as they don't try to harm me or you than yes," King Edward said. "All I am asking is for you to go out to dinner with me tomorrow night. One dinner so we can talk, please," King Edward said.
"Fine, I will go to dinner with you but if you try anything you will be sorry," I said an King Edward smiled at me. He had the most beautiful smile. "You should smile more," I said without thinking and my cheeks became red from embarrassment.
"I am happy you like my smile. Thanks for deciding to go out to dinner with me, Mon Amour. I will see you tomorrow," King Edward said
"Yeah, see you tomorrow, King Edward," I said
"Just Edward to you, Mon Amour," Edward said, and I smiled at him.
"Your smile is even more beautiful," King Edward said and I was sure I was as red as a tomato. King Edward chuckled before speaking. "Good night, Mon Amour. Sweet dreams," King Edward said, and then he left the room.
Once he was gone, I sighed and smiled. I hoped I was making the right decision to go to dinner with him.
