Dr. Malissa's Point of View

How the fuck was I going to gain King Edward's trust? I had no clue. It had been three days and King Edward wouldn't even spare me a glance. I was starting to believe there was nothing I would be able to do to get him to trust me again. 

"So, what do you think about the werewolf king's little sister being our king's beloved? One of the vampire nurses asked. King Edward had told everyone that Ella was his beloved. Some were okay with it, while others were worried or just didn't like that a werewolf and a vampire were chosen to be soulmates.

"I don't know. I never thought this would happen." Hearing there conversation gave me an idea.

"I heard she used a witch to make him believe she was his beloved," I said and everyone looked at me

"What? Who told you that?"

"It's just what I heard."

"Do you think they are telling the truth? Do you think she drugged him? You know him better than most. How has he been acting to you?" 

"I should be quiet. I don't want to get in trouble," I said

"You won't we won't say anything."

"Okay, if I tell you what I think, you all have to promise you will keep it between us. No one else can find out," I said

"We promise."

"I wasn't going to tell anyone this, but King Edward kicked me out of the castle. We haven't been speaking because Queen Ella doesn't want him talking to me. She is very jealous and doesn't want him to speak to any other female. I asked him if I could speak to her and let her know that we were only friends, and he threatened to kill me if I said anything to her."

"What? HE threatened to kill you just because you wanted to speak to her."

"She must be upset because you have history with him."

"That's true. All of you know we have history and yes that was why she is upset. She found out we had a past. He said he doesn't want me to tell her how serious we were."

"What do you mean by serious?" 

"I don't know if I should tell you this," I said

"You can tell us anything. We promise we won't say anything."

"I know that the werewolf is not King Edward's beloved because I am his beloved," I lied and everyone looked at me with shocked expressions

"What?" 

"We've know for a long time," I said

"But what about all those women he would fuck in the past? If you are his beloved then you must have felt a  lot of pain when he was unfaithful."

"Yes, I did. He didn't want a beloved because he felt I would make him weak. I love him and put up with his shit. He finally told me that he wanted me to be his beloved and apologized for everything he had done to me in the past. He told me we would be together and that he was going to tell the vampire kingdom about me and make me his queen, but then she came."

"I can't believe this."

"That is why he only had sex with you on a regular basis. He even let you go to his room. How could our king be so heartless to his own beloved?"

"Yes, and he treats that mutt like she is his real beloved. How dare he."

"We need to report him."

"No, please don't report him.? I don't want him to get into trouble and it's not his fault that she put a spell on him. There has to be another way to make him see that she placed a spell on him."

"Don't worry, we've got your back."

"I don't want any of you getting into any trouble," I said

"Don't worry about that, Dr. Malissa. We've got your back."

I couldn't help but smile. My plan looked like it was going to work.

"I think the hybrid queen is helping her. She is very powerful, and I think she is using her abilities for her own gain and the gain of her friend."

"We will make them both pay for what they did to you and our vampire king. No one will mess with our true queen."

Sof's Point of View

"Okay, you all did a good job today. Training is over," Ethan said, and everyone left. 

"That was weird," I told Ella

"Yeah, did you see how everyone seemed to be glaring at the two of us?" Ella asked

"Yeah, something seems off," I replied. All through training, many of the vampires were glaring at Ella and me. I didn't know what was going on, but I was going to find out.
