Ava's Point of View

I was so happy when I woke up, the past few days had been wonderful. Sof and Ethan had been arguing daily. I could tell Sof was upset with him. I didn't know what was in the potion my mom had given me, but whatever it was, it was doing what I needed it to do. 

"I don't have time to argue with you, Ethan. I am leaving," Sof said

"Where are you going?" Ethan asked

"Away from you," Sof said. I was standing by their bedroom door and was about to knock when I heard them arguing. The door opened and Sof walked out. 

"Good morning, sof. I was just about to knock but you beat me too it," I said

"Good morning, Ava."

"Sof we are not done talking," Ethan said as he walked to the front door. When he saw me he started to frown. "What are you doing here?" Ethan asked

"She came to see me. We have plans today," Sof said

"Sof, we really need to finish this conversation," Ethan said

"No, we don't. I will be back in a couple of hours," Sof said. Ethan called her name, but she ignored him as we walked away.

"Are you okay?" I asked as we got in the limo.

"I am just tired. I have been thinking about everything you said about hearing Ethan saying he doesn't think I am fit to be queen. I hate that he feels that way. I know I wasn't raised with werewolves, but I feel I have been doing a good job as queen," Sof said

"You have been doing a great job, Sof. I get it. You know I don't have a wolf and I am not as strong as you. I was jealous at first that you got the abilities and everything while I am just like a human, but after getting to know you I am happy that you are as strong as you are. I wish I hadn't judged you before getting to know you," I said

"Thanks, Ava. It's nice that you are being honest with me. I wish everyone else could be that way," Sof said

"I wanted to ask you something for a long time. How do you do it?" I asked

"Do what?" Sof asked

"How do you deal with all of them. Our mom mistreated you. Our dad didn't even know about your existence but he raised our brothers with his mate, Stacie whom even though she acts nice I am sure she hates that we were born. Also, your mate used to ignore you when you were being bullied by his ex. I know you love him but it seems he only loves you because of your strength," I said and Sof was silent

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to overstep. I am just trying to be honest,"" I said

"Don't be sorry, Ava. I agree with you. I feel like maybe they don't really care about me. Honestly, I wish I could just get away," Sof said

"You can," I said

"What?" Sof asked

"You can stay with me in my coven," I said

"What about your mom, Queen Gina? I don't think she would be happy with me being there. Plus, she did want to start a war with us not that long ago," SOf said

"No, that was a misunderstanding. I have spoken to her and she feels terrible for what she was planning to do. She would be happy to meet you and get to know you as my sister. I get it if you don't want to go," I said

"Let's do it," Sof said shocking me

"What?" I asked

"Let's go, now," Sof replied. I couldn't believe how easy this was. Sof was ready to go right at that moment. 

"We can't take this limo," I said

"We don't need to. Stop the limo," Sof said to the driver, who stopped instantly. Sof and I got out of the limo and went to the SUV that was behind us, which was full of guards that had been following us. Sof opened the driver's side door. "Get out," Sof said, and they did without hesitation.

"You drive," Sof said, and I got into the driver's side while she got into the passenger's side. 

"Queen Sofia," One of the guards said, but Sof cut them off. 

"Don't follow me," Sof said as I drove off. 

"Not long after, her phone began to ring. "Hello," Sof said, and then she listened to whatever Ethan was saying in the background

"I need to leave so I can think. I will be back soon. Kiss the babies for me," Sof said, and then she ended the call.

"Are you okay?" I asked

"Yes, I am fine.
