Sof's Point of View

"I really don't need so many clothes," I told Queen Gine. We were at the mall in the witches' coven, and I have to admit I was shocked at how nice it was. The witches' coven was not what I thought it would be. It actually looked nice. They lived just like werewolves did. Their kids went to school. They had nice neighborhoods and parks. There were grocery stores, restaurants, different shops, a movie theater, and a mall. 

"Yes, you do. You didn't bring anything with you," Queen Gina said

Once we were finished shopping, we went to an Italian restaurant for lunch. 

"So, Sofia. Tell me a little about yourself. I know you have two babies at home," Queen Ava said

"Yes, I do. What do you want to know?"

"It must be hard to stay away from them right now," Queen Ava said

"Yes, but I needed to get away for a while," I replied

"I understand. I just wanted to know about you. Ava told me your mom didn't treat you right and you haven't known your father for long. How do you feel about all of that? If you ask me, I feel you deserved better. It makes me happy that your mom gave me Ava. I couldn't imagine her growing up that way. If I had known your mom would treat you so badly, I would have taken you as well. I am sure she wouldn't have minded. I mean, she was so quick to give me Ava. She didn't even hesitate," Queen Gina said

"Mom, I am sure Sof doesn't want to hear that. She and Tina have been getting along lately," Ava said

"Oh, I didn't mean to offend you. I was only being honest," Queen Gina said

"No, it's okay. I know you mean well. You are right. My mom wasn't the best. She used to mistreat me and I didn't know my dad. I didn''t even know about supernatural beings being real," I said

"That's messed up. Your mom should have told you. Your dad has a mate, right?  You have two brothers?" Quen Gina asked

"Yes," I replied

"How are they?" Queen Gina asked

"They are nice. I have a relationship with my brothers, and Stacie is a good person," I said

"Really? She isn't upset that you were born?" Queen Gina asked

"Mom," Ava said

"What? I am just having a conversation with your sister," Queen Gina replied

"It's alright. Yes, Staice is nice and has never treated me badly. She always tells me she sees me as her daughter," I said, and Queen Gina chuckled

"What?" I asked

"Nothing. I was just thinking. Do you think they could be faking it? I mean, Stacie is your father's mate, and he had you and Ava with another woman. I am sure she feels sad about that. Her mate had a baby with someone else. How would you feel if your mate got another woman pregnant?" Queen Gina asked

"I... I would be upset," I said truthfully

"Also, you said you were raised as a human. I wonder if they would have accepted you if you weren't the firstborn. I mean, you are the only one who could take the crown. So, maybe they only accepted you because they had no choice. I am not saying this is what happened, but it could have," Queen Gina said, and I stayed silent

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to overstep," Queen Gina said

"No, it's okay. Thanks for your honesty," I said

"How about we stop talking and finish our food?" Ava said, and we went back to eating.

"Come in," I said, and Ava walked inside the room I was staying in. 

"Hey, how are you doing?" Ava asked

"I am fine. Just putting up these clothes. Your mom made me get a lot," I said

'Yeah, she loves to shop," Ava replied. "I came to apologize for what my mom said. She can be a lot," Ava said

"It's okay. She just speaks her mind," I replied, and then I sighed. 

"What's wrong?" Ava asked

"Actually, I am starting to think your mom is right about everything," I said

"What do you mean?" Ava asked

"Our mom really didn't treat me well. My dad didn't even know I existed. Ethan had a girlfriend all through high school and let her bully me. Ella knew about werewolves and never told me. She even kept it from me after realizing I was Ethan's mate. I don't think they really care about me. I think they are just using me because I am the queen. I don't think Ethan would have chosen me if I weren't his mate. I think he has been lying to me about loving me for so long because if he did, then why would he let everyone at school bully me? I am just so upset," I said, and Ava looked at me

"So, what are you going to do about it?" Ava asked

"I am going to show them that they can't just use me," I said

"I can help you so that, "Ava said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"We should talk to my mom."
