Sofia's Point of View

"Alright, let's begin. We need you to tell us who in the castle is a part of the group you told us about," My dad said and we all looked at King Edward.

" I am not sure who all is in the group. Like I told you before there are a lot of members," King Edward said

"What do you mean you don't know everyone who is apart of the group. I thought you came here to help us?" Ella said suddenly and Kind Edward looked at her. 

"That is why I came here, Mon Amour. I came to help you. To protect you," King Edward said and Ella laughed

"Sure you did, or did you come to trick us so that your group members can attack us?" Ella said as she stood from her seat. King Edward did the same. 

"That is not true, Mon Amour.. I wouldn't do that. I would never hurt you or anyone you care about," King Edward said

"I don't believe you," Ella said and King Edward stayed silent. I could see the pain in his facial expression by her words. He didn't like that she didn't believe him. 

"I promise I will prove to you that I am telling the truth," King Edward said.

"If you don't know who is a part of the group then how are you going to help us?" Eric asked

"I might not know everyone that is a part of the group but most know that I was a part of it. They still think that I am so I have a plan. I am going to get ahold of Monte' and tell him that I am here at the castle, that I gained your trust. He will let his followers know that I am here and they will come to me. That way I can figure out who is on his side," King Edward said

"That is a good plan," I said

"I agree," Ethan replied

"Wait a minute. Have y'all forgotten that he tired to kill all of us? How do we know this isn't some king of trick. He could be working with this Monte' person, if he is really real. Don't forget he wanted us all dead. He also has a problem with Sofia because she is a hybrid," My mom said

"I am not trying to play you. I already told you that I am not going to hurt any of you because of her," King Edward said as he stared at Ella. Ella didn't meet his gaze. She was looking down at her hands. 

"That still doesn't mean you wouldn't try to hurt my daughter," My mom said

"I told you I won't. Why are you so worried about her now anyway? From what I heard you don't even like your daughter. You kept her exittance away from her. You never told her abotu werewolves or who her father is. Shei found out when she discovered King Ethan was her mate," King Edward said. I am not going to lie, hearing him say those things hurt. It made me remember how terrible my mom was to me. 

"You need to watch what you say. You don't even know me," My mom said as she glared at him. 

"I know enough to know that you have always treated your daugher like shit," King Edward started to say but Grandpa Damon spoke up

"Watch how you speak to my daughter, Edward," Grandpa Damon growled

"I mean no disrespect, Damon. I am only stating facts," King Edward replied

"You are trying to be disrespectful, and you know it," Ella said, and we all looked ata her. You only said those things to hurt Sofia's mom but you are not only hurting her. You are hurting Sofia as well, and she is my best friend, my sister and I don't like it when people try to hurt her," Ella said

"Ella, I am not trying to upset you. I was only telling her the truth," King Edward said

"You were being cruel," Ella said, and King Edward sighed. I didn't know King Edward that much, but I was sure he had never looked at someone the way he looked at Ella. His eyes seemed to have softened as soon as his eyes met hers

"Okay, everyone. I think that is enough arguing. I think that King Edward has a good idea. I trust that he is being sincere and isn't trying to play us," I said and then I looked at Ethan "What do you think?" I asked

"I agree with you, My Love. You said that your gut is telling you that he is being sincere and I trust you so I think we should go with his plan," Ethan said and then he looked at my dad. 

"I agree with the two of you. You are the rulers now, so I trust in my daughter and her judgment," my dad said, and then he looked at Eric. 

"Fine. I trust my kids so I guess I am okay with going with your plan," Eric said

"Good, so we will go with King Edward's Plan. He will be staying here in the castle and we will have people watching you. I am sure all of you know that this stays between us. We won't let anyone else know about this. Does anyone else have anything to say?" I asked and everyone was silent. 

"Good, now I am sure everyone is tired. I will see all of you tomorrow," Ethan said and we all headed out of the room. 

"Ella do you mind speaking to me for a moment please," King Edward said and I knew Ethan wanted to say something but I placed my hand on his chest. I saw Tammie do the same to Eric. Ehtan and Eric sighed but didn't interfere. 

"Okay," Ella said

"If you need us just mind link," Ethan said and Ella nodded. I took Ethan's hand and we walked out of the conference room

I knew Ella and King Edward needed to talk.
