Ethan's Point of View

"Have you seen this woman before?" my dad asked as he pointed to Vera. I could tell by how nervous he looked that he had.

"No, I haven't," Alpha Thomas asked. I could tell that my dad knew just as much as I did that he was lying. 

"Are you sure you have never met her before?" My dad asked

"Yes, I am positive I have never seen her before in my life," Alpha Thomas replied, and my dad looked at Linda. 

"Linda, have you met this man before?" my dad asked, and I saw Alpha Thomas tense up. 

"Yes, I have. He is the one who showed Vera where the Cabin was. He told us that we could stay there as long as we needed," Linda said

"That is not true. I have never met this woman or anyone named Vera before in my life," Alpha Thomas growled.

"If that is true, why did you have your guards guarding the mountains that are not a part of this Pack?" My dad asked

"I have my men walk around there to make sure there are no rogues close to my territory," Alpha Thomas said.

"Do you own that cabin that's in the mountains?" My dad asked

"Yes, I do. Sometimes I like going there to get away from the Pack," Alpha Thomas said

"But you have never met this woman?" My dad asked

"No, I haven't," Alpha Thomas said

"You know what, Alpha Thomas? Your answers make sense," My dad said, and Alpha Thomas started to smile.

"Thanks, I am happy you believe me, My King," Alpha Thomas replied

"I never said I believed you," My dad said, causing Alpha Thomas to frown.

"Um," Alpha Thomas started to say, but my dad cut him off.

"I said your answers made sense, but I know you are lying. Your face tells it all," My dad said, and his eyes turned black, letting me know his wolf was at the surface. "Now I command you to tell me the truth. Did you help Vera hide from me?" My dad asked, using his Alpha Command. 

"Y-yes. I helped her," Alpha Thomas said 

"Now that wasn't hard, was it?" My dad said, "Do you know where she is hiding?" My dad asked again, using Alpha Command

"She is staying in one of the Pack houses. She came to me once she got caught and told me she needed a place to hide," Alpha Thomas said

"What is the address to the house she is staying in?" My dad commanded

"It's house number 214," Alpha Thomas said

"Good, that wasn't so hard, was it? Now I have one more question. Why did you help her?" My dad asked

"Because you messed up everything. I had chosen the perfect mate for my son, and you let her leave. You had no right to make that decision. This is my Pack, and I am the Alpha," Alpha Thomas said

"You are wrong. This was your Pack. I, Alpha Eric, King of the Werwolfs, hereby strip you of the title of Alpha," My dad said. Alpha, or should I say Thomas, fell on the floor, screaming in pain. "Guards," My dad called, and everyone walked into the office. "Take him to a cell in the Kingdom. Take Linda as well. We don't need her anymore," My dad said, and the guards nodded before grabbing Vera and Thomas and taking them away.

"I need all of you to stay here and talk to the Pack. Ask how they have been treated by their old Alpha," My dad said to some of the warriors.

"Yes, Alpha," the warriors said 

"We should ask about his son. We need to know if he is like his dad. If he is, then he shouldn't be Alpha," I said. His son Landon was my age, but I never hung out with him. He had been homeschooled, and from what I heard, he never went anywhere or hung out with anyone our age. 

"I agree. I will have the warriors ask the Pack about him, and we will deal with whatever they find out after Sofia's birthday. We need to get Vera. Hopefully, she doesn't know that we are here," My dad said, and we quickly left the packhouse.

Vera's Point of View

I was sitting in the house Alpha Thomas let me stay in, happy that that bitch Linda got caught. I was happy she was caught because she knew something I didn't want anyone else to know about me. She threatened to tell everyone. Now, I don't have to worry about her. I am sure the future Alpha King killed her by now anyway. She was planning on killing his mate and the future Werewolf Queen. 

My phone beeped, signaling that I had received a message. I looked at it and frowned when I saw it was a message from Alpha Thomas. 

"The Alpha King and his son are here, and they are on their way to my office. I am sure they are looking for you. You need to leave now," Alpha Thomas said 

"Fuck," I said to myself. I knew I needed to get out of there. I grabbed my bag and tried to teleport, but I couldn't. 

"Are you Going somewhere?" I looked behind me to see King Lestat, the most powerful dark witch in all of the realms, standing behind me.

"What are the two of you doing here?" I asked worriedly. 

"I am here because I am upset with you, Vera. You tried to kill what is mine. You didn't think I was going to let you get away with that now, did you?" King Lestat asked, and Helena used her abilities to make sure I couldn't move. 

"It wasn't me. It was Linda who wanted her dead. She was blackmailing me," I said

"I don't care why you did it. You are going to pay for what you tried to do to my beloved," King Lestat said, and he walked over to me. He extended his fangs and was about to kill me, but I spoke.

"Wait. I know you don't want to hear this, but she is not your beloved. I know Helena told you that, but she is lying. She is using you so that she can Ki... Ahhhh,"

Lestat's Point of View

I watched as Vera's body burned. All I could hear were her screams. "Why didn't you let her finish what she was going to tell me?" I asked as I looked at Helena

"It would have been a waste of time. Whatever she was going to say was a lie," Helena said, and I heard footsteps.

"We have to leave," Helena said before she teleported us out of the house.
