The Dawn of the New World Chapter 1456
The Upper Levels
Within one of the mini palaces, a female figure stood at the window staring at the night sky being doused in magnificent violet flames.
From the back, another feminine figure walked up to stand beside her with a glass of wine in hand.
"Oh my, would you look at that?" she spoke in an almost hypnotically soothing voice oozing with sensuality, "Mother was right, don't you think? When she said we would reap great benefits from this trip? No?"
The first figure did not answer which made her smile.
"This should be a good reminder of the difference in our status, dear sister. Make sure you remember it well-" she turned around to walk away but the following event rooted her to the spot.

A few minutes earlier...
Hao Xuan knew nothing of the havoc his actions had already caused since he was so engrossed in all the changes that invoking the Void Mother's mark brought forth.
The first and most obvious one was that every blessing was in a different color depending on which of the Nine bestowed them.
The prices still hovered at the same ludicrous rates, but hundreds of other blessings were now included from the Old Gods and the Great Old Ones, which was entirely new.
'This must be because of my status as a champion but, I wonder...what would happen if I invoked all the other marks at the same time?'
Hao Xuan closed his eyes, allowing his morbid curiosity to take full control. He reached for his soul and one by one called for the other marks by one of the names of their masters.
"Of the Scarlet King!" he called and a pillar of red shot into the sky.
The next was a pillar of grey which came from "The Prince of Decay!"
After that was a pillar of languid blue of the "Throne of The Deep"
Then came an unobservable pillar of powerful energy that could only be felt but not seen, "Of the Blind God!"
Then came quite a strange one. It was one pillar but divided evenly in half, one black and one white, "Of the Slumbering One"
"The King in Yellow" was preceded by a brilliant golden pillar.
"The Silent Father!" had a pure white color while that of "The Forgotten Horror" was inky black with a lot of impurities mixed in.
It was a parade that only stopped after nearly drilling a hole through to the layer above.
The uninitiated and those without any strong spiritual powers could only feel the changes in the atmosphere at first but within a brief moment, the colors seeped into the darkened sky to create an aurora that illuminated the entire abyss layer as clear as day, visible to all.

Within the mini palace, the wine glass fell from her hand and broke into countless pieces. She could not tear her eyes away from the iridescent display of power.
"T-That is impossi-"
The first lady finally spoke, cutting her off.
Her voice was a bit more mature, brimming with the confidence and the charm of a ruler as she laid witness to a prophecy that had been passed down through the ancient clans for centuries.
Her gaze was focused on the glorious declaration, bold and unafraid.
"And it was said...his arrival would be proclaimed by the Abyss itself-" it sounded like she was reading something off of a book, "-he who is chosen by the Nine...he who will usher in a new era, an era of great change."
"The Herald will embrace his destiny to inaugurate the New Order. Death pursues him, Hell hunts him, and it is only in the embrace of Chaos that the fruits of his labour will be realised. My descendants, prepare thyself for the Age of Strife when the nights turn into days!"
Her lips curved upwards as she looked over her shoulder, "Dear sister, do you want to make a bet?"

Back in his room Hao Xuan was flabbergasted by the changes taking place in front of his eyes.
The list continued to grow to unprecedented levels, adding the kinds of blessings that he never would have expected in a million years.
They ranged from something as minor and insignificant as making a toddler stop crying to something a lot more important but just as unique, like making the land richer with natural resources or in turn poisoning them.
Everything that one could imagine was here.
"Huh...that's a lot more than I expected..." he mumbled in a daze while scrolling down the neverending list.
"It really is too much, how is anyone supposed to get anything done with this many choices? Oh right, no one else has this many to choose from..."
But one thing he found to be consistent among all of them was that they were pretty expensive.
With the cheapest ones starting at a few thousand, he would be out of favour in the blink of an eye if things continued this way.
"Alright, then let's upgrade the level of one of the Marks first. The cost of upgrade for~ the first level of the Crown is-" the words got stuck in his throat when he saw the 20,000 favour test pop up after thinking about upgrading it.
"HOW THE FUCK-"
