The Dawn of the New World Chapter 1515

Hao Xuan casually walked through the door, returning to his room within the Umbral planes. He was lost in deep thought for quite a while, pacing back and forth under the orange river while bumping into every object in his path before he chose to orate his findings.

'Even after watching hours worth of his memories...I can't figure it out. There are too many unknown variables. Is it about the girl, Jaya? Or her parents? Or the world? No, the world is far too young. They don't even have any form of magic or cultivation so far.'

'On the other hand, the parents are quite spectacular. The husband is an extremely important and powerful figure in the Imperial Navy of his planet. He is outspoken about his stringent views on treating everyone equally no matter their background and does his utmost to reduce the influence of the 'Old Families' that used to run their world based on social classes.'

'The wife is a literal genius. After making several breakthroughs in the fields of molecular biology and genetic manipulation, she threw it all away to try and find a cure for her daughter who suffers from a terminal disease. Whatever ails her...I have not heard of it even in the Greater World.'

'And then there is the daughter, Jaya, who got the best of both worlds. Not only did she receive her mother's genius-level intellect but picked up on her father's charisma, courage, and integrity. Let alone making it to 700 years in the future where I came from, she will probably not live past her twenties...which is a real shame. That is if she hasn't already succumbed to the disease...'

'Then the question remains...why did he choose this world and these people? Their civilization is but a grain of sand when compared to the Greater World- to the grand scheme of things. Hell, they just now discovered faster-than-light travel!'

*Sigh*

He plopped down on the bed, exhausted.

'This is a lot more draining than I thought it would be...even for me. And it took a lot of effort coming back here, I had to backtrack through each memory. Gota....figure something out...for...dat...' his speech slurred as he dozed off, his physical form slumping over and recalling his consciousness.

*BANG*BANG*BANG*

The door almost flew off its hinges as Hao Xuan was awoken by the thundering noise.

"WHAT?!" he yelled and a sigh of relief came from the other side.

"Finally, you're awake!" a feminine voice said, "Young Master Nae Shin summons you to the main hall, it's important!"

"Fine...I'm coming," he grumbled loudly to the sound of small feet running down the hall.

Hao Xuan rolled over to see the glaring sun rays coming in from the window.

"What...time is it? How long was I out for? Baracus?" he called for him still half-asleep, before remembering there was no one to answer his calls anymore.

"Oh...right..."

After a quick splash of water to wake him up, Hao Xuan went down to the first floor which was still just as crowded as last night. But there was no sign of Nae Shin anywhere.

He looked for one of the wolf-eared waitresses and hailed her over.

"Yes?"

"Where is Nae- Young Master Nae Shin? I was told he would be down here."

The demihuman waitress looked him up and down and despite his egregious appearance, chose to give him the exact directions.

"Through that door behind you, it's the room at the end. They're all in there."

'All? Who else?'

"Thank you."

As Hao Xuan got close to the main dining hall the door flipped open and Rukia rushed out almost running into him.

"Excuse- oh, what are you doing here?" she asked with a raised brow before shaking her head, "Never mind, I have to go."

Hao Xuan watched on as she used her movement technique to, basically, disappear from the spot.

'What's she in such a hurry for?' he thought inwardly before entering the dining hall.

More than half a dozen heads turn to look at him, making him freeze on the spot.

Hao Xuan's brow began to furrow as he took everything in.

Nae Shin was sitting on the other side of the room, sweating bullets.

Across from him and right in front of Hao Xuan were eight people sitting in a semi-circle surrounding Nae Shin. He hadn't seen any of them apart from the black-haired girl in the middle but what left him baffled was the overflowing energies of these eight, since they all had some connection to the Sanctum and the Old Gods.

"You...I have seen you before," the black-haired girl revealed to the rest, "Yes, last night."

Hao Xuan remembered her, how could he not? She was a follower of the Void Mother, just like him.

Nae Shin stutteringly intervened, "Lady Song, t-this person is-"

"New. He's new," Bertha spoke up from behind him. She was trying to get in but Hao Xuan was in the way.

"Move aside, Jin."
