The Dawn of the New World Chapter 1592

This last batch of requests numbered just over 50 but they did not fall into the same category as the rest, i.e. they were neither the easiest nor the simplest of the bunch.

In fact, even their contents were hidden from him at first glance.

Hao Xuan picked one at random and opened it. He could feel each of the marks respond to the request in some minor way before the details were finally revealed.

'That's new. Whoever put up this request must be greatly valued by the Sanctum and even the Nine to some extent.'

The first line, quite dramatically, read:

[Save my son]

The request already had Hao Xuan's interest but now it also held his attention.

The second line revealed some much-needed details.

The person who placed the request had 4 children and three of them were killed before their 10th birthday. This was the last of his offspring and he was under a curse that nobody had been able to lift so far. It came into effect when he turned seven and made his life a living hell by showing him terrible things from the other side that would become corporeal after a certain time and chase after him.

There was no end to these monstrosities and although they could be temporarily sent back to the Umbral Planes, they would return enmass every time he slept.

'He has been placed in a dreamless slumber for the last 2 years to keep his mind from breaking but that won't last for much longer...'

As terrible as all that was, it was the last few lines that 'really' struck a chord with Hao Xuan.

[Everything I own will be given to the one who can release my son from the curse! And if you can find the one who cast this hex upon my family- I will personally owe you a debt]

A barely perceptible smile passed over his lips for a brief moment.

'The Wolf-King? Interesting...'

He opened the next few requests that required approval from the Marks each time and as expected, they were all quite different.

[Conduct and Win a duel on my behalf with the Uraga Clan of the 51st Layer]

Hao Xuan's brow furrowed, 'Who the fuck is little Juni?' and he clicked on it to get more details.

But unlike all the other requests this one just had a drawing without any explanation.

Hao Xuan cocked his head to the left and right trying to make sense of the image but it was only when he stepped back and squinted really hard that a vague image came together.

His eyes narrowed to the size of a pinhole upon realization.

'A Death Liger- and a trueborn one at that!'

The drawing did not make it easy but once he recognized it there was no way to unsee.

A Death Liger was a wretched creature born by pure bad luck in the depths of the abyss where all the so-called bad realms intersected.

It required things like the Death energy of the underworld, countless tortured souls of hell that had been down there for at least 10 millenniums, and every negative emotion that existed within the Umbral Plane, just to name a few.

Hao Xuan had only heard about them in legends but he was well aware of their abilities. A glimpse of its eyes would destroy the soul of any mortal, a single graze from its claws would inflict a Blood Curse on its victims that could not be lifted as long as it was alive, and most importantly, it could-

*Clang*

"Hey watch your step!"

"Sorry sorry!"

He was so absorbed in his thoughts that Hao Xuan accidentally took his hand off the board without realizing it, returning to the normal flow of time.

But despite the abrupt change he couldn't help but keep thinking about the Death Liger.

'There is definitely something there of use. Technically it's still a beast so wouldn't Beast Charmer work on it? What if I upgrade it all the way? Invoke!'

Hao Xuan quickly pulled up his blessings and smiled upon seeing the six-digit number.

'That's right; the reward fee for bringing in Nae Shin was stupidly high. Maybe it's doable with this much.'

As his thoughts aligned, the [Beast Charmer] ability was pulled up with the 'Bless' option next to it. It was already at Level 4, one away from being maxed out.

But his heart shook when he saw the price for the final level up.

'80,000 FAVOUR!?'

And this was the price for him, which was already exorbitantly low. For any ordinary servant, it outa be a few million favour which was ludicrous.
