The Dawn of the New World Chapter 1513

The boy frowned.

"H-Hey it's starting to hurt, can you let go-"

But Jaya pulled him even further out for a big hug. She was squealing from joy.

"I KNEW IT! Mama was right! If I prayed and prayed they would listen!"

The boy finally managed to push her away and free his head. He took a deep breath before hesitantly asking, "What are you even...t-talking about?"

Jaya was so happy that she couldn't stop herself from jumping around the bed like a rabbit.

"It.really.came.true!" she spoke one word after every jump, "I.can't.believe.it!"

Annoyed, the boy tripped her just as she was about to embark on another round, making her fall face-first on the bed. It was so loud that it made him worried for a second.

"Are you okay?"

When he turned her over she was crying. His eyes widened, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- you can push me too if you want! Here," he used her limp hand to push himself over which made her giggle.

"Hehe, no silly, I wasn't crying because of that."

"Then..."

She jumped to her feet, beaming with pride.

"Because my prayers finally came true! God sent you to me!"

The boy tilted his head sideways in confusion, "What??"

"It's true!" she nodded confidently, "I prayed every night for a brother and a 'bestest friend' and then we found you yesterday when grampa took me for a birthday adventure! YOU are my birthday present!"

The boy went silent, "You...found me??"

"Mhm! Just like in the stories!"

"But...how did I get here? Did my parents throw me away?" he muttered weakly.

Hearing the question Jaya quickly settled down beside him, even going as far as to lend him Mr. Patty for support.

"No silly, god sent you to me. You came down from the sky so I wouldn't be alone anymore! Now mama and papa will visit more and we will all be a happy family!" she dragged him to his feet, "YAY! Come jump with me!"

Hao Xuan was watching all of this unfold and had countless thoughts running through his mind because of it.

'That's definitely me, but it's not something that happened on earth. The eye color, that has to be because of the sorcerer. Then...this should be a memory that took place right after I came out of the River of Time. It would explain why I look...younger. This should be the first memory after I woke up. I had a vision of something similar- an old man and a kid were walking through the woods...that should be her and her grandfather.'

Hao Xuan's eyes were laser-focused on his younger self. He looked confused for the most part, his gaze oozing with innocence, just as one would expect in such a situation.

'I see the sorcerer hasn't taken control yet either, that's probably why I can see it here. This memory should be very important since it's the first thing that came to me on this side.'

He turned around to look at the door, 'I wonder...can I go outside of the memory? Explore this place further? Maybe that would give me some more answers because this was obviously not an accident. He is far too smart, everything he does has a reason- just like the Emperor. The sorcerer wanted to be here, with these people specifically. But why?'

Hao Xuan grabbed the doorknob and pulled it open, crossing over to the other side.

Both Jaya and the younger version of Hao Xuan paused, "Huh? The door opened. Who's there?" she called out.

Jumping down from the bed she cautiously poked her head outside but couldn't find anyone, "Huh...so weird," she muttered before returning to the bed without losing any of the enthusiasm.

"So! We need to give you a name! How aboooout~"

"Jin! I like Jin!"

Jaya was surprised but not the least upset as she threw her hands up, "YAY! Jin! Now we are officially brother and sister! Let's make up a secret handshake first and then and then...."

When Hao Xuan crossed to the other side the environment had completely changed. He was now in a garden with several people sitting around a table.

There was a man and a woman sitting next to each other, both seemed to be in their thirties. Jaya was rolled up sleeping in the woman's embrace.

Across from them was an old man without any hair whatsoever. His forehead was full of wrinkles that matched his kindly aura.

"Where is he?" the woman asked in a low voice so as not to wake Jaya up.

The old man gestured towards the mansion behind the rows of bushes, "Still asleep, he is pretty weak."

The woman shook her head dejectedly, "You should have taken him to the hospital dad, why would you keep him here?! And why does Jaya keep calling him her brother?"

The old man sighed and explained that she thought he was sent for her from the heavens.

The man- Jaya's father spoke up, shaking his head with a pitiful expression.

"My god, she must have overheard us talking about trying again. The boy, what do we know about him?"

The old man shrugged, "Very little. He appeared out of nowhere in the forest behind the house. He was covered in blood and wearing clothes that were far too big for him. He doesn't remember anything apart from his name, Jin."
