The Dawn of the New World Chapter 1619

Vlitgar extended his hand in Nae Shin's direction but in a strange display of camaraderie, all the other children who were still in control of their senses moved to stop him without hesitation.

Princess Yi summoned a small army of shadow blades that spread out in every direction. Lady Saira summoned a treasure that held the appearance of twelve floating bells all interconnected with a red string.

These bells began to ring but made no sound, and yet Vlitgar's lips cracked into a smile upon sensing the change within the Umbral Planes.

One of the other children unsheathed his dual swords that burned with a searing hot orange flame. Another pulled his arm back to reveal the outline of an ethereal bow that had been in his grasp all this time.

One even managed to surround Vlitgar with strange white rings lined with serrated blades rotating at hypersonic speeds.

Any of them could pose a great threat by their lonesome but when combined they were ten times as deadly.

This suffocating atmosphere created by the various clashing energies could eradicate an ordinary Profound Realm being to dust but to Vlitgar it was nothing more than a temper tantrum.

*Pat*Pat*Pat*

He clapped sarcastically at their performance, "Are you...done? Or should I continue my wait while you change into matching gowns?"

Princess Yi turned her hand sideways and more than half of the thirty shadow blades shot forward. But they stopped a few inches away as she stepped forward to question him.

"Give me one reason why I should not kill you right now?"

Vlitgar smirked, "Just one, little Song princess?"

He made a semi-circle with his forefinger which forced all of the shadow blades to slowly turn on their master. They shook violently for a second but in the end, each blade was pointing back at them with almost no work from him.

"You have your mother's looks but not her brains- or control over the world of darkness."

He made a fist and the shadow blades which were roughly half a meter long each began to surge with power, doubling in size and intensity.

And as if that wasn't enough, they immediately exploded with dark purple flames that singed the high ceilings and weakened the control of the other children of the sanctum over their own treasures.

The suppressive aura pushed all but two of them back, Princess Yi and the boy with the twin blades.

Despite having her own weapons stolen from right under her nose Song Yi had no intention of backing down.

Her spiritual energy began to rise as eight massive shadows tried to force their way into existence. Cracks began to appear along the walls and the ceiling revealing the same chaotic hellscape underneath.

Upon noticing this change Lady Saira quickly reached out and grabbed her by the arm.

"You can't!" she warned, "We are locked in a temporary dimension, fighting here will send all of us barreling through the void!"

Princess Yi immediately froze on the spot, too afraid to even make a move after hearing of the void.

"Are you sure??"

"Yes!"

"HAHAHA!"

Vlitgar threw his head back while laughing with genuine glee.

"Finally someone with a working brain!"

But that was not taken as the compliment he meant it as. Instead, Lady Saira glared at him with undisguised hostility. This woman who always kept to herself and minded her own business could hardly contain herself.

"Why is someone of your kind here?! Have you nothing better to do than bully the younger generation??"

Vlitgar's eyes narrowed.

He gave her another once over before the realization set in.

"Because, unlike YOUR kind, we do not sit idly by when matters of such importance are brought up. Sit and watch while I save our people from their doom."

Lady Saira's fists balled up from rage, "How conceited must you be! How much more evil must you bring unto this land in their names? When will it be enough??"

That last sentence triggered something inside Vlitgar as he exploded with uncontested psychic wrath.

"WHEN WE ARE THE ONLY ONES STANDING!"

*BOOOOM*

Half of the room nearly collapsed on their heads as they were all pushed to their knees. The atmosphere burned and sizzled as cracks in reality began to open around them.

Vlitgar marched ahead, increasing the psychic force with every word.

"No sacrifice is great enough for the cause- not even yours!"

He stood over Lady Saira.

"You do nothing but wait for others to do your dirty work, and then dare look down upon us? Tell me, why should I not eradicate your filthy bloodline from-"

His eyes widened as a flash of blue light shot towards him from the left, followed by a small silhouette.

Down in the commercial district, Hao Xuan's brow curled upwards as he sensed a surge of power coming from somewhere far away.

"Hmm? Is that- no, it can't be him," he groaned, "I haven't taught him how to use those techniques yet."
