Waclaw pulled back in a hurry but she had already gotten a good look at his face by then.

'That's a friend of the old mistress! I remember seeing her at the estate a few times but I thought everyone aside from us had passed away! How is she here- What is going on??'

He was more confused than surprised by their sudden appearance but what could he do? Not only was Lady Yuki not in any danger with them but even if he wanted to get close and eavesdrop to satisfy his own curiosity, the powerful energies exuding from that building were at the peak of the Profound Realm.

He was no match for them.

Aunty Vei ushered Lady Yuki inside before introducing the three demihumans to her.

"These three also knew your parents. We all used to ride together a long time ago but that was what, 30 years ago now?"

She gestured towards the ape demihuman first, "This old bastard goes by Lucari. He and your father had an old rivalry going back decades about the title of the 'Muharib Al-Rimal'. Well, I say rivalry but Lucari always came in second! Hahaha!"

Lucari's smile froze as he threw up his fists in protest, "That's because he cheated! Everyone knows you are not supposed to fly!"

The fox-eared lady snorted, "Says who?! Just because you can't fly doesn't mean no one else is allowed to!"

"YOU-"

Aunty Vei glared once and they both shut up immediately.

"And this instigator is Shun," she said while shaking her head at the fox-eared lady before turning to the last person.

The girl with the butterfly wings flew over to get a very close-up look at Lady Yuki. Her saucer-like pitch-black eyes openly scanned her up and down.

Aunty Vei lightly saw Lady Yuki was beginning to feel uncomfortable so she slapped the girl on the forehead to push her away.

"And this pipsqueak with no concept of personal space is Polina. Don't let her appearance fool you, she is the oldest one here!"

Lady Yuki cleared her throat and gave a respectful bow from the waist to people deserving of their status.

"Uncle Lucari, Aunty Shun, and Aunty Polina, how do you do?"

Aunty Shun and Uncle Lucari didn't know how to respond but Aunty Polina had no such reservations as she flew over Lady Yuki's shoulder.

Despite being the size of an average teenage girl she moved through the air without much difficulty, as if it came as naturally to her as breathing.

"Don't mind these old dorks, Princess Yuki. Us younglings should stick together! Just call me Poli!"

Yuki smiled at her innocently, "Of course! Any friend of my mother is a friend of mine!"

Aunty Polina staggered back as if she had been struck by lightning, "O-Oh, your a-ama taught you how to fight, huh? Okay okay, I-I see how it is."

Yuki's head tilted sideways in confusion, "Sorry? To fight? I'm not sure what you-"

But Aunty Vei clapped twice to get everyone's attention.

"Alright let's cut the chitchat," she spoke like an army sergeant disciplining her trainees and they responded appropriately by standing in a line in front of them.

She met Lady Yuki's gaze, "Yui, as heartwarming a reunion as this is, I have to ask- is everything okay? Coming in the middle of the night to meet us old coots at this difficult time, you are not in any danger are you?"

With just one question the atmosphere suddenly turned somber as Lucari, Shun, and Polina almost exploded with killing intent.

"What?! Who is it? Give me the names and I'll wring their necks!" old Uncle Lucari declared.

Aunty Shun on the other hand was one step ahead, "Is it that Song boy you married?? Did he hurt you?!"

Aunty Polina floated into the air with nothing but pure fae magic sizzling at her hands and feet, "Hoh, Xuegang his name was, right? I think I know where he is staying. Let me go pay him a visit, Veivei. If they think they can bully little Yui they have another thing coming!"

Seeing them all react that way Lady Yuki's eyes were wet once again. Ever since the massacre at the estate she felt alone, forced to take the position of her parents despite having no desire and even less experience than an ordinary person.

Lady Yuki always felt she was against the world all by her lonesome but seeing all these people who were willing to go above and beyond for the sake of her happiness was like a breath of fresh air for a person suffocating each and every day.

Unfortunately, the others took her tears as a confirmation of their imaginary tales- although they wouldn't be too far off in making such an assumption.

"I'll KILL that BASTARD!" Lucari yelled while running at the door but Aunty Vei tripped him with her wooden leg.

"Stop jumping to conclusions, let her talk!" she berated the trio.
