Animal Whisperer: Take Back My Life and Love Chapter 145: The Vip Outdoor Cinema
At this thought, Nancy felt that all the running around she had done today was completely worth it. She was so happy she felt like she could literally take flight right then and there.
The Loren Zoo grounds featured an open-air screening area with a massive screen. Combined with a portable outdoor power supply, it allowed her to stream video directly from her phone. This spot was originally a mini-theater for educational documentaries about reptiles, but tonight, Nancy was repurposing it for the live sports broadcast!
The adaptation training tent where Barry and Star were staying was located on the same lawn. Since the grounds were quite expansive, Nancy figured watching the competition wouldn't disturb them—in fact, she might even invite Star to join!
Wearing protective gloves, she carefully moved the "Snake Coaches" into two specially designed display tanks, giving them instructions like a kindergarten teacher. "Now, we have a deal, everyone. You must sit quietly and watch together. No bickering and absolutely no fighting."
These tanks were her meticulously prepared VIP viewing boxes. Inside, she had arranged rows of soft cushions, staggered partitions, and artificial branches. This allowed the snakes to watch in whatever position was most comfortable for them—some could curl up, while others could hang from the branches.
"If anyone misbehaves," Nancy said, putting on a stern face, "they’ll be sent straight back to the dens. Not only will you miss your students' final, but you won't get to see them again in the future!"
The usually formidable snake coaches were now huddled obediently on their cushions, their small heads tilted toward the screen, terrified of missing a single second of their students' performance.
The white snake wiggled her sleek body excitedly, her tongue flicking incessantly. "Ms. Nancy! Are we going to see a lot of handsome, exotic athletes later? I’m all ready for the eye candy!"
Nancy: "..."
Three black lines metaphorically slid down her forehead. Internal monologue: I really want to kick this boy-crazy, flirtatious snake out right now!
As for the "Head Coach" of the animal training team, Chomp the crocodile, he was simply too massive to squeeze into the screening area. Nancy had specially set up a small television in his enclosure so he could watch the live broadcast in comfort.
However, as Nancy pushed the cart carrying the two tanks toward the mini-theater, she froze at the sight on the lawn. Parked behind Barry’s tent was a massive, incredibly luxurious RV!
The vehicle stood in the night like a sleek, white mobile villa. Nancy had once dreamed of traveling the world with her animals in an RV and had watched countless videos of them, only to realize how out of reach that dream was. She recognized it instantly—it was a top-tier ultra-luxury model, retailing for nearly ten million dollars!
Inside, it featured a 100-inch hidden electric projection screen and a top-of-the-line surround sound system comparable to a private cinema. Even the bathroom had a dry-wet separation design and a jacuzzi!
Seeing the luxury RV she had only ever seen in videos right in front of her, it didn't take a genius to figure it out. Barry clearly found the tent too inconvenient for his daily routine and had someone drive this "mobile palace" in. Looking at the gleaming vehicle, Nancy’s eyes turned red with envy!
While Nancy was staring at the RV, a large, furry head suddenly popped out of the window—it was Star! He spotted Nancy immediately and let out two excited barks, expertly opening the RV door and sprinting toward her like a bolt of black lightning.
"Ms. Nancy!" Star wagged his tail happily, nuzzling her leg. "What are you doing with those boxes? It looks like a party!"
Infected by his enthusiasm, Nancy smiled and crouched down to pat his head. She briefly explained the story of the "Snake Coaches" training the swimmers. "Tonight is the final of the World Championships. We’re going to watch the students compete!"
Upon hearing this, Star’s ears pricked up, and his tail wagged even faster. "I want to watch too! Let me join you!"
"Of course!" Nancy agreed readily. "Let’s cheer for the athletes together and watch them bring glory to the country!"
One by one, the other animals joined the crowd. The Squirrel Bros came clutching pinecones, Snowball the weasel arrived with a small cracker, five bats hung upside down from a tree branch, and the Tabby arrived with his elegant, rhythmic stride.
Nancy acted like a teacher, expertly arranging their seats: "Corry and Bobby, sit over here. Snowball, you're next to me. Little bats, you can hang from the screen frame—just make sure you don't block the picture. Tabby, please take the seat of honor!"
Surprisingly, the animals were all perfectly behaved, sitting in their assigned spots with their heads tilted up at the screen like a class of kindergarteners waiting for a movie to start. With the animal audience settled, Nancy began hurriedly setting up the projection equipment.
