Animal Whisperer: Take Back My Life and Love Chapter 412: The Blueprint
Devon Green was a veteran of Neo Summers Corp Entertainment. At only twenty-eight, he had already swept the best actor awards in both film and television across Dracovia. Now, he was setting his sights on the international stage.
His long-term contract with Neo Summers Corp was nearing its end, and the timing couldn't be worse for the company.
With their two primary A-listers currently drowning in a public relations nightmare, Devon was the only pillar holding up the firm’s reputation. The board had reached a unanimous consensus and they had to keep him, no matter the cost.
Anders looked grim, his tone resolute. "Don't worry. One way or another, I will get him to sign that extension."
Yvonne nodded, her fingers tapping the table in a rhythmic show of approval. "Isn't your son, Luke, studying neurosurgery overseas?"
Luke Summers, Anders’ son, was pursuing his advanced degrees in Murica.
"I have already pulled some strings with Professor Genova at the Hawkings Medical Institute. His team happens to be looking for new researchers."
Anders’ eyes lit up with genuine surprise. "That’s incredible! Thank you, Yvonne. I owe you one."
Yvonne waved it off, her expression pleasant but her eyes sharp. "I look after my own. Just make sure Devon stays put, and I will make sure the doors open for Luke."
…
At the Northwest Airport, a luxury private jet bearing the Goodman Corp logo sat waiting on the tarmac.
Thanks to the sheer efficiency of the Sanddune crew, two weeks of filming had been wrapped up in just ten days. The entire team was now boarding the plane, clutching bouquets of wrap-party flowers and buzzing with excitement.
"I have never been on a private jet in my life!" a young stagehand shouted, running his hand over the leather upholstery.
"We have Nancy to thank for this. We are just living the high life because of Barry’s hospitality," the photographer added, prompting a round of heartfelt agreement from the rest of the crew.
Barry and Star had taken a group photo with everyone on the day they wrapped before flying out that same night to handle urgent business abroad. Looking back on the last ten days, Nancy was impressed. For a CEO with a schedule as packed as his, he had spent a significant amount of time in the desert just to keep Star company during the visit. He really was an incredibly responsible guardian.
"Thank you all for your hard work," Nancy said, looking at her smiling colleagues in the cabin.
"Hard work? These were the best ten days of my career!" the art director exclaimed.
"Miss Nancy," a young actor said, his expression turning serious. "Have you ever thought about starting your own production company? We would all love to work for you."
"He’s right!" someone else chimed in. "Cooperative animal actors are a massive rarity. These days, a well-trained animal makes more than we do! And these cuties are the real stars. If they want to strike or demand more scenes, the whole crew has to spoil them anyway."
Nancy paused, taken aback. "A production company... the thought has crossed my mind. But I don't know the first thing about the industry, and I have zero roots in entertainment."
She stopped mid-sentence as her mind began to race.
She thought of Stella, the idol she had rescued, and Errol, Korbin’s grandson whom she had met during the tomb robbery case. She had heard that Errol had taken Korbin’s archaeological research and turned it into a stunning performance at the Global Dance Championships. He had won first place and was now a sought-after choreographer and stage director.
The more she thought about it, the more her eyes lit up. Actually, starting a production company might be exactly what I need to do.
She realized her network in the industry was much deeper than she had initially thought. Once the idea took hold, there was no letting go.
She needed to earn more money to build the animal sanctuary of her dreams. She wanted to expand the animal town, build an animal city, open themed restaurants, and even build a pet-friendly hotel. She wanted Loren Zoo to be the crown jewel of Townsville, and all of Dracovia.
Sicily, who had been buried in her laptop, suddenly looked up with a manic gleam in her eyes. "You want to start a company? Are you forgetting the massive resource I have for a father?"
She slammed her hand on the table in excitement. "Go after his network! He has been a director for decades. His biggest problem is always finding reliable actors and partners. We are the perfect fit!"
Nancy blinked as it finally clicked. "You’re right!"
She already knew Sicily, a brilliant future director and screenwriter in her own right. And Sicily’s father was a titan in the industry.
Sicily went back to her work, her fingers flying across the keys so fast they were practically a blur. Nancy brought her a glass of juice and spoke softly. "Sicily, take a break."
"I can't!" Sicily didn't even look up, her voice vibrating with adrenaline. "Those cold cases you told me about are incredible. I’m overflowing with ideas. I have to get the framework for the script down while it’s fresh!"
