Animal Whisperer: Take Back My Life and Love Chapter 231: The Exclusive Raw Materials
Chandler's face turned a livid shade of purple. He glanced at Ginnie in the car and her wheelchair, attempting to apply pressure from a different angle. "We have a patient here with mobility issues!"
After being kicked by the alpaca, Ginnie had recovered enough to stand and walk, but long distances were still a struggle, so she relied on a wheelchair.
"Is your zoo so cold-blooded that you don't even provide basic convenience? Are you refusing entry to visitors?"
The guard actually laughed at that. "Oh, you want to visit? Fine. Go over there, get in line, and buy a ticket."
He casually pulled a park guidebook from the booth and expertly flipped to a specific page. "For visitors with mobility difficulties, our park has specially arranged exclusive guides in mascot costumes. The service is thoughtful and attentive!"
He intentionally raised his voice, adding a touch of sarcasm. "But you don't even want to buy a ticket; you just want to freeload your way in? That's a bit much, don't you think?"
Chandler looked in the direction the guard pointed. The queue at the ticket window was incredibly long.
He instantly flared up in anger. "What do you mean? I am your director's father! Do I still need to queue for a ticket?"
The guard scoffed, intentionally projecting his voice so everyone nearby could hear. "Can't even spare fifty bucks for a ticket, yet here you are pretending to be our director's dad? What kind of poor relative are you, coming here to try and climb the social ladder?"
He stood with his hands on his hips, refusing to budge an inch. "I'm telling you, even if the King of Heaven himself showed up today, he'd still have to line up and buy a ticket like everyone else! Or make an appointment on the app beforehand and enter according to the rules!"
The guard got even more worked up, pointing at the Mercedes. "I bet you probably rented that car from somewhere just to act like a big shot! You saw our zoo's business is booming, so you came crawling over to harass our director and try to take advantage of her, didn't you?"
By now, the tourists waiting to enter had been drawn to the commotion. Many peered over curiously, and some even raised their phones to start filming.
Exposed in public, Chandler's old face flushed red, but he was no match for the guard's sharp tongue.
Ultimately, the three members of the Summers family had no choice but to drive the car into the parking lot. After getting out, they walked silently to the ticket office and squeezed into the line of tourists, honestly queuing up to buy their tickets.
Accustomed to enjoying privileges everywhere they went, the Summers family members looked grimmer than ever.
Chandler led the way toward the park director's office, grumbling incessantly. "That girl Nancy has grown so wild out here she doesn't even know the rules anymore! Without our Summers family discipline, she's simply unpresentable!"
Cindy was wearing a pair of high heels that were unsuitable for walking and had to exert herself pushing Ginnie's wheelchair. Her expression was dark enough to drip ink.
She hissed under her breath, "She really isn't of our own blood. No matter how you teach her, she never learns; no matter how you raise her, she never grows close!"
Chandler's eyes flickered slightly at his wife's words. He then echoed coldly, "Truly, we raised an ungrateful wolf!"
Ginnie, sitting in the wheelchair, looked up at the right moment, her tone filled with self-reproach and a choked sob. "Dad, Mom, please don't be angry. It's all my fault. If the vaccine hadn't been maliciously reported, our family wouldn't have been forced to come and beg her..."
Cindy immediately interrupted her, sounding heartbroken. "What nonsense! How can this be blamed on you? It's clearly because Nancy had no ability to develop a vaccine independently, so she was jealous of you and plotted to bring us down! She just can't stand to see us doing well because her own life is a mess!"
Ginnie comforted them softly, "Mom, Dad, don't be angry anymore. We can always start over with the vaccine."
Her tone shifted, and she revealed a well-timed smile. "Besides, I have some good news for you. Dad, haven't you been looking for a high-quality nutrient raw material supplier for the new premium dog food line lately?"
Chandler perked up instantly. "What? You have a lead?"
Ginnie smiled slightly, her tone carrying a sense of confidence and composure. "I've already been in contact with a national-level agricultural base right here in Townsville. I have a senior who happens to be doing research there. He said he had already handed our cooperation proposal to the head of the base, Nina."
"Nina?!" The gloom on Chandler's face vanished instantly.
It was replaced by an expression of unbelievable surprise. "We've tried to cooperate with Professor Grace's base many times before, hoping they would provide raw materials for our pet supplements. But the people we sent for negotiations were politely declined before they even saw Professor Grace's face."
He looked at Ginnie excitedly, his eyes full of admiration. "I never expected you could actually make a connection with Professor Grace!"
Ginnie spoke gently, yet with a clear strategic plan. "Once the cooperation is finalized, our new dog food can use the slogan 'Exclusive Raw Materials from a National Agricultural Base.'"
