Chandler's breath hitched, and his knuckles turned white as he gripped his phone.

The woman seemed satisfied with his silence. Her tone softened slightly, carrying an unquestionable sense of control.

"Everything will proceed according to my plan."

"Just do what you are supposed to do." Given your current situation, you are in no position to dictate terms to me. Is that understood?"

Chandler gave a respectful "Yes" before returning to the car with a darkened expression. Inside, Cindy and Ginnie immediately cast inquiring looks his way.

Cindy couldn't contain her curiosity. "Who was on the phone? Your face looks terrible."

Chandler squeezed the name through his teeth: "Yvonne Summers."

Ginnie's eyes lit up instantly. "Is it Aunt Yvonne? Is she calling because she's willing to help us solve the breach-of-contract penalty problem?"

The Townsville Summers family was merely a branch of the Bellwood Summers family, and Yvonne was Chandler's older sister. The Summers family had always practiced a "survival of the fittest" selection process for their heirs; only the strong rose to the top. Chandler's management skills were far inferior to Yvonne's. After losing out in the internal family power struggle years ago, he had come to Townsville to focus on the pet industry, where he had managed to carve out a niche for himself.

In contrast, Yvonne, the victor, remained at the Bellwood headquarters and was now being groomed as a core successor.

"Whether Yvonne is willing to help is still hard to say."

Chandler pondered for a moment before revealing a piece of news. "However, Townsville is hosting a prestigious horse exhibition next month. Yvonne will personally lead a team of experts from Bellwood to examine Mr. Callum's ailing Akhal-Teke."

"Mr. Callum?" Cindy's eyes brightened. "Those Morovian investors have no shortage of capital! If we can cure his beloved horse, our funding issues will be solved!"

Ginnie became excited, her tone turning light. "And Mr. Callum has investment ties with our overseas vaccine distributors. If we satisfy him, the distributors might drop their lawsuits against us just to save face for him."

Chandler finally managed a smile. "Exactly. Once the news of the new vaccine development is announced, combined with the premium dog food project using materials from the national agricultural base, we should be able to stabilize Summers Corp's current situation."

Cindy finally showed a relieved smile, gently patting the back of Ginnie's hand. "It is still our Ginnie who has the talent." Even a professor from the agricultural base was moved by the cooperation proposal you presented."

Chandler also showed a rare look of satisfaction, his gaze full of expectation as he looked at his daughter. "When Yvonne brings the experts to see Mr. Callum's horse, you must seize the opportunity to perform well."

Ginnie lowered her eyes, a humble curve appearing on her lips. Her voice was soft yet full of confidence.

"Don't worry, Mom and Dad. I will prepare thoroughly. After all... this is for our Summers family."

Behind her seemingly docile expression, a gleam of predatory determination flickered.

The following morning, the weather was perfect. Soft sunlight filtered through thin clouds, and a gentle breeze blew—ideal weather for an outing.

Loren Zoo was bustling with activity early on, appearing completely refreshed. Colorful animal cartoon standees and fluttering balloons decorated the park with a sense of childhood wonder, while employees in mascot costumes made final preparations.

Nancy was carefully helping an employee adjust the details of a mascot suit. Not far away, the Squirrel Bros were practicing a hand dance. The Great Tabby King was meticulously licking his fur in front of a reflective window to tidy his appearance. Snowy, the clingy little thing, was rubbing against Nancy's ankles.

Just then, Barry appeared on time, leading the majestic Star.

Snowy, who had been acting spoiled a moment ago, froze instantly. The next second, he silently slipped behind a display board, leaving only a pair of round eyes to peek out nervously. The debt collector had arrived!

Barry had uncharacteristically worn a casual black turtleneck today. The fitted design outlined his powerful chest muscles, and paired with sharp suit trousers, he exuded a sense of restrained wildness within his casual look. He held Star's lead with one hand, his long fingers wrapped around the leather strap. When his forearm tensed, the clear outlines of muscle showed a great sense of power.

Nancy's eyes lit up, and she joked with a smile, "Oh, the big boss looks quite handsome today!"

Barry pressed down the corners of his mouth, frowning slightly. His tone carried a hint of dissatisfaction.

"Other commercial events book my schedule at least a month in advance. You grab me as a guest at the last minute and don't even have a specific itinerary?"

The next second, Nancy suddenly stood on her tiptoes. With quick hands, she placed a fluffy snow leopard ear headband on Barry's head. Her eyes curved into crescents as she playfully pinched the ears on the headband.

"The itinerary is, of course... greeting guests!"

His pupils dilated suddenly, and he froze on the spot.
