Hearing that Elsa had participated in the development of the Summers family's new vaccine made Nancy even more cautious. She decided to test Elsa's sincerity and stance first. If Elsa was truly willing to help organize the data and successfully report the Summers family today, she might still be worth hiring.

Elsa was stunned for a moment. "What kind of chance?"

Nancy's tone was steady but left no room for doubt. "Since you participated in the development of the new vaccine, you should be very familiar with its ingredients." I want you to work with me to compile a report for the authorities proving that the ingredients of this so-called new vaccine are highly similar to my Claw Shield."

Elsa nodded but then furrowed her brow. "I understand what you're thinking, but... the patent for the Claw Shield vaccine is currently in the hands of Summers Corp, after all. Even if we can prove the ingredients are highly similar, the Summers family can simply argue that this is an upgraded version based on the original patent—a legitimate iterative update."

A sense of powerlessness crept into Elsa's voice. "Legally speaking, what they are doing isn't problematic... I'm afraid it will be very difficult to stop the launch of the new vaccine."

Nancy responded with firm eyes and a non-negotiable tone, "You just need to help me organize the data. Time is very tight; we must finish by tomorrow afternoon."

Simply put, if the Summers family wanted to prove the new vaccine was safe, they would have to admit the highly similar Claw Shield was also safe. If they did that, wouldn't their previous "failed test" report become a slap to their own faces?

Elsa saw that Nancy already had a strategy in mind. Her spirits lifted, and she nodded seriously. "Alright. When do we start?"

Nancy was decisive. "Now!"

The two of them quickly opened their laptops and sat across from each other, immediately diving into the intense task of organizing the data. From afternoon until dusk, and then into the deep night, they remained fully focused on their screens, their fingers flying across the keyboards.

During this time, the little ones weren't idle either. Corry thoughtfully poured a cup of tea for each of them, clumsily pushing the cups forward with his tiny paws. Bobby was sneakily reaching for the nuts in the fruit bowl, happily munching away. Snowy the ermine, who had been sleeping at the corner of the desk, seemed to remember the experience of being "rubbed" like a mouse; this time, he specifically stayed far away from Nancy's right hand, curling into a furry ball in a safe corner to sleep.

As the night grew darker, the office remained brightly lit, with only the sound of typing and the occasional rustle of small animals interweaving in the air.

Just then, a few familiar caws came from outside the window of the director's office. Master Crow was back!

Nancy immediately stood up and headed for the door. As she passed the table, she gave Snowy's backside a gentle poke. Snowy blinked his eyes open groumpily, instantly remembering what Nancy had told him during dinner: keep an eye on Elsa to see if she did anything suspicious while Nancy was away.

He quickly forced himself to wake up, taking turns "standing guard" with each eye as he stared intently at Elsa. Elsa remained fully focused on her computer, sometimes typing away furiously and other times scratching her hair in frustration, showing no signs of anything unusual. Snowy felt a bit more at ease and continued his stakeout duty obediently.

Outside the office, Nancy lowered her voice and asked Master Crow urgently, "Did you bring the things?"

She had previously sent Master Crow to deliver a note to Luna, demanding the details of the so-called "failed" test report for the Claw Shield vaccine. The report itself wasn't top-secret. As a failed internal document, it had actually been filed with the regulatory department; theoretically, it could be queried, but it wasn't public. Nancy had struggled to find a way to view it.

In her note, Nancy had been blunt: if Luna didn't cooperate, she would sue her for breach of contract and leave her penniless.

Master Crow tilted his head back, his throat moving as he began to regurgitate items from his sublingual pouch. A crow's pouch is a highly flexible "temporary storage bag" beneath the base of the tongue, allowing them to carry several small items for short periods.
