Animal Whisperer: Take Back My Life and Love Chapter 151: The Delivery Squad

4 min 1 views

"Let me go! Let me get it!"

He absolutely loved the smell of fried chicken. Even though the Director said small animals couldn't eat fried food or their fur would fall out, just hugging the bag and catching a whiff along the way was good enough!

Nancy chuckled. "You? Can you even carry it?"

Bobby tilted his tiny head up and pointed to Star's mini scooter parked by the motorhome door. "I can ride Star's scooter! I'll have Corry push me from behind!"

Corry, suddenly being called out, looked puzzled.

Between Bobby's relentless begging and Star's tail-wagging excitement, the plan was set. Star was in charge of pushing, Corry crouched at the front to navigate, and Bobby stood majestically in the center of the scooter.

And so, this magical delivery squad set off.

Meanwhile, the delivery guy was standing nervously at the entrance of the Reptile House.

He looked at the snake identification signs and photos outside, trembling with fear as his skin crawled. Just as he was debating whether to make another phone call, he spotted an extraordinary sight.

A majestic wolfdog was zooming toward him, pushing a scooter. Standing on the scooter were two little squirrels: one was waving its paws wildly to give directions, while the other stood with its chest puffed out like a general heading into battle.

The delivery guy watched in stunned silence as the team came to a precise halt right in front of him. His phone hit the ground with a loud thud, and his eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Am I hallucinating?!

Bobby reached out a tiny paw, first pointing at the delivery bag and then tapping the scooter beneath him, his dark beady eyes looking at the man expectantly.

The delivery guy scratched his head suspiciously. "Put it... put it on the scooter?"

Bobby nodded vigorously, his head moving so fast it left an afterimage.

Feeling like he was in a dream, the delivery guy carefully placed the fried chicken and boba tea bags onto the empty space on the scooter.

The Squirrel Bros immediately pounced, wrapping their furry bodies tightly around the bags like soldiers guarding a treasure.

Seeing this, Star moved to the back of the scooter, pressed his front paws against the tail, and skillfully pushed the loaded vehicle and the Squirrel Bros steadily back toward the motorhome.

The delivery guy stood frozen in the wind, staring at the perfectly coordinated backs of the two squirrels and the dog as they faded into the distance.

He muttered to himself, completely dazed, "I must have woken up too quickly and gotten dizzy... Since when do animals not only order takeout, but also use scooters to pick it up?!"

The Squirrel Bros and Star soon returned in triumph, delivering the fragrant fried chicken and boba tea safely to Nancy.

Bobby took a deep breath of the chicken aroma, his little face a picture of ecstasy and internal struggle. Nancy was amused by him. "Want a tiny piece?"

Bobby's eyes went glazed, and he almost started drooling, but he eventually shook his head reluctantly. "No, no... my fur will fall out. I don't want to become a bald-tailed squirrel!"

"Chicken?" Little Snowball, the least-weasel, perked up the moment he heard the keyword.

He leaned in to sniff the bag but turned away with a look of disdain. "Too greasy! I want the chicken jerky you make."

Nancy couldn't help but laugh as she quickly took out the specially prepared snacks she had ready and distributed them to the eager little ones.

Barry leaned back on the sofa, watching Nancy buzz around like a busy little bee, when a bag of dried fish strips was suddenly shoved into his arms.

"Help me out, please? Feed the snake coaches!" Nancy's eyes were sparkling. "I'll treat you to fried chicken as a thank-you!"

Barry glanced at the fried chicken with a look of contempt. "I don't care for that kind of junk food."

Yet, he resignedly picked up the fish strips and walked toward the water tanks.

The snake coaches hissed excitedly to one another as they enjoyed their meal.

"Look at that! Miss Nancy's live-in husband isn't bad at all!"

"He even helps give us extra snacks!"

"I approve of this marriage! Hiss—"

Hearing the chorus of hisses and seeing all those bright eyes staring at him from the dim tanks, Barry felt a chill run down his spine, and his hand stiffened slightly as he fed them.

The inside of the motorhome grew quiet again.

Nancy and the little animals munched on their snacks, their eyes glued to the competition.

The World Championship finals were usually spread out over several nights rather than being held all at once. Tonight featured the finals for the 400-meter freestyle and the men's 4x100-meter relay.

The Dracovian swim team's performance tonight was nothing short of thunderous.

First, Gabriel took a dominant victory in the 400-meter freestyle. Then, in the men's 4x100-meter relay final, the four athletes moved like dragons emerging from the sea, coordinating perfectly. They didn't just seize the gold; they shattered a world record that had stood for years with an incredible time!

This battle completely broke the long-standing international monopoly on men's relay events and rewrote history.
