Summers Corp Veterinary Hospital had many branch locations.

Perhaps it was at a cross-hospital exchange meeting for Summers Corp, or perhaps during a specific training session... but Elsa's current panic was far more worthy of reflection than a simple "I don't know her."

Autumn quickly introduced her with a smile. "This is Miss Nancy, the one I've often mentioned to you. She is a wonderful person and takes great care of us!"

Nancy stepped forward and offered a gentle smile. "Hello, Elsa. I often hear Autumn talk about you. This is just a small gesture; I hope you can relax a bit."

As she spoke, she handed over the snacks and boba tea they had brought. Elsa took the gifts, her fingers tightening slightly as she whispered, "...Thank you both."

She stepped aside to make way, her voice somewhat dry. "Come in and sit down."

The room was small but tidy, and the three of them barely managed to fit onto the sofa. Elsa glanced at the wall clock and rubbed her throbbing temples, her voice exhausted. "Actually... I have to go to my part-time job early tomorrow morning, but in this state, I keep making mistakes even with simple cashiering."

"The boss has already warned me. He said if I kept being this dazed, he was going to fire me..." She gave a bitter laugh. "He said I zone out too much and it scares the customers."

Nancy's eyes lit up, and she immediately extended an invitation. "Elsa, have you considered coming to work at our zoo?"

"We are short on experienced veterinarians. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the animals are quite healing."

"If you're willing, I can advance your salary, and the zoo provides employee dorms. The environment is safe and quiet."

Autumn's eyes also brightened as she nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes! Come join us! It would be so great to work together!"

But Elsa reacted as if she had been stung, raising her head abruptly with a flash of panic in her eyes. She unconsciously gripped the hem of her shirt, her voice suddenly becoming urgent and stiff. "No need... thank you for the kindness."

The atmosphere in the room turned heavy. Nancy broke the silence softly. "Elsa, you should get some rest first. We'll stay here with you tonight. Don't worry; just get a good night's sleep."

Elsa nodded and whispered, "Thank you." She then lay down on the bed and closed her eyes. Autumn stayed by Elsa's side while Nancy rested on the sofa.

At one o'clock in the morning, everything was silent.

Elsa's phone suddenly vibrated under her pillow, the dim light of the screen particularly striking in the darkness. Elsa, who had been sleeping very lightly, snapped her eyes open. She quickly grabbed the phone, and after seeing the content, she threw off the covers and stood up without hesitation.

Nancy and Autumn were instantly awakened. "What is it? What happened?"

As Elsa hurriedly put on her coat, she spoke anxiously, "It's the landlady. She said she's having a heart attack. Her eyes are blurry and she can't find her medicine. She asked me to go help her quickly!"

Nancy immediately became alert. "Is it a WhatsApp message?"

Elsa nodded and turned the phone screen toward them. The message appeared to be voice-to-text, containing typos, but the content made their hearts tighten:

"Landlady: Me, heart, not comfortable, eyes blurry, can't find medicine, can you come over a moment?"

In the silence of the late night, this cry for help made everyone's heart race. Nancy asked suspiciously, "If the landlady is having an attack and her eyes are too blurry to see, why didn't she send a voice note? Why did she have to convert it to text?"

Elsa's fingers slid quickly across the screen, her voice taut with tension. "She speaks a dialect from Cloudtopia. She's afraid I won't understand her..."

"Her phone has a dialect recognition feature; she always sends me messages this way." Elsa paused, her breath suddenly hitching. "There was an instance before where she felt unwell and asked me for help..."

"I've told her repeatedly to find me if anything happens!" Elsa stood up abruptly, her tone becoming even more urgent. "No, I have to go find the medicine. If it really is a heart attack..."

Nancy quickly pressed down on her arm. "Don't panic yet. Call her first and listen to her voice!"

"What if some bad person used the landlady's phone to message you just to lure you over there?"

Elsa took a deep breath and dialed the number. After a few rings, a rush of chaotic dialect came from the other end. The voice was raspy, interspersed with heavy, strained gasps, sounding exactly like someone suffering an attack.

Elsa's face turned pale instantly. She looked up at the two of them, her voice trembling uncontrollably. "Now... do you believe me? She really is having an attack."
