No matter where she was investigating or how late she worked these past few days, the nutritional meals from Goodman Hospital always arrived on schedule. Even on the rare occasions when Simon brought her food, Barry would have a nutritionist precisely calculate the nutritional content and instruct Simon that she must finish specific portions of the meal.

Nancy sometimes couldn't help but think that Barry's meticulous "health supervision" was almost as if he were treating her as some kind of high-priority observation subject.

Of course, the results were tangible. After eating these specially assigned meals for over half a month, Nancy felt significantly more energetic, and the drowsiness that usually hit her in the afternoons had diminished greatly. Even her habit of eating too fast—which Simon often criticized for causing poor digestion—had become slow and deliberate under the influence of these meals that "fined" her if she didn't eat properly.

However, Barry's business trip abroad was quite long this time; it had been over half a month and he still hadn't returned. She really missed the clingy Star! She wanted to rub Star's big, fluffy tail!

After finishing her meal, Nancy arranged the empty plates neatly and sent a photo to Jorgan. She followed up with a question: "Jorgan, when are Mr. Goodman and Star returning to the country?"

Nancy sent another message: "Our Loren Zoo has an Open Day in the middle of the month..."

Jorgan replied incredibly fast: "Don't worry, everything is going smoothly on his end. He should be back in two or three days."

Before Nancy could respond, he sent another follow-up: "Are you planning to invite him to the Open Day?"

"No need to be shy, I've already passed the word along." He will definitely make arrangements to attend~"

Nancy: "...?!"

She hadn't even finished her sentence! She actually wanted to ask if the RV parked on that stretch of lawn could be moved temporarily, as the event might need that space.

Shortly after lunch, Nancy's phone rang. She looked down to see it was Jensen and quickly answered.

On the other end, Jensen's voice sounded very excited. "Nancy! I really have to thank you and your brother! You caught the murderer so quickly and even nabbed that serial food thief. You've done a huge favor for our school!"

Nancy laughed and replied, "You're too kind. It's my duty as a police consultant. As for catching the thief, it was just a small favor."

Her tone turned serious. "Actually, the stray cats around the school were the real help. Professor, you must treat these cats well. Please don't let the security office take any harsh measures against them."

Jensen agreed repeatedly, "Yes, yes, absolutely not! These cats are 'senior alumni' of the school; everyone loves them."

Thinking of the research potential hidden in her mother's manuscript, Nancy felt a spark of inspiration and said, "Professor Jensen, didn't you help me apply to keep that lab earlier? I'd like to start using it as soon as possible. Would that be okay?"

Jensen answered readily, "Of course! You've done a great service for the school."

He continued enthusiastically, "The equipment in your old lab is a bit dated. I can help you apply to use the newest lab in the School of Animal Science. It's full of brand-new equipment that was just installed!"

"I'll just have a word with the President." Since you've made such a great contribution and are an outstanding alumna, there won't be any problem with the application!"

Nancy was thrilled upon hearing this. This was fantastic! Although she now had her own million-dollar nest egg, she needed to prioritize upgrading the zoo's infirmary. Building a new lab from scratch would easily cost millions. Being able to rent the school's latest laboratory equipment for a symbolic fee would significantly speed up her research for the new vaccine!

Nancy was already confident in her "Claw Shield" vaccine, and now with the precious knowledge from her mother's manuscript, the next generation of vaccines would surely be even better! If the new vaccine were successfully developed, she wouldn't have to worry about sales at all!
