Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 103
JAYDEN: Vince tossed me the keys, and we headed to Shire Street. I didn’t realize just how bad the area was until we drove through it. “Caiden, link Chi, and ask her for the address of the apartment and her apartment number.” I said and pulled over. I wasn’t going to waste gas driving up and down the street; I wanted to get to her, not look for her. I watched as his eyes glazed over, and I waited. It took a bit, unfortunately, and I knew why. She was telling him it wasn’t necessary, and he had to coax her. But he finally got the information we needed from her, and I drove straight to her apartment. I parked the SUV. We all grabbed a bag and headed inside and up to her apartment.
CHIARA: I had just reached that state between the light sleep and completely out when I got the first link from Jayden. I got up after getting that link, and I put the clothes back on that I had worn earlier in the day. I put my sleepwear under my pillow. And remade the bed. I am going to have to get a robe. And now, since I’m up and waiting for them, I might as well start working on my Thena portrait. I had Iesha send me a couple of the pictures she took. I know she is going to get them printed for me, but I can start on the background I want to put her in. I had just gotten the skyline figured out when the knock came. I went to the door. “Who is it?” I asked. “It’s us, Chi, Jayden, Caiden, Vince, and Chad.” I unlocked the door and opened it for them. “Umm, why are you all here?” I asked as I stepped back to let them in. And once everyone was in, I closed the door back up. I didn’t lock it; in case I need to make a quick getaway. They were all carrying a bag or two. “What’s all this?” I asked, waving my hand at the bags. “We thought we would stop and buy you some food for a housewarming gift.” Caiden said. “I just moved. How did you find out?” I was taken aback a bit. “Our wolves wanted their mate, so we went to the orphanage, and you weren’t there. Both Axel and Steel wouldn’t settle until we had eyes on you.” Jayden said. I nodded. And took the bags from them and started to put things away. “That explains you two, but what about the other two?” I asked. As I opened the fridge. I now have two cartons of milk, that’s ok, it keeps. And coffee! They came along for the ride and wanted to make sure their luna was safe. Caiden said. “Thank you.” I said once all the groceries were put away. “ And I am not their luna.” I said. “Welcome. And you are their luna, and our mate.” I hear a deep, growly voice answer me. I turn and see that Caiden’s eyes have changed color. I know his wolf is at the front. “Axel? Are you ok?” I asked him. “No. Need to touch you.” He said. I tentatively reached out my hand to him, not knowing what to expect. I haven’t really dealt with their wolves at all. And it’s a bit scary. He takes my hand and pulls me to him. Then he wraps his arms around me and inhales deeply. I freeze, I don’t know what he is going to do. “No, don’t fear, love mate.” He said. I can’t help it, I am afraid, but I rub circles on his back, hoping it will calm him enough to let me go. The next thing I know is that Jayden is standing behind me, rubbing circles on my back, trying to help calm me down. I find myself fighting with Thena to come forward, but she won’t. (“Thena, please!”) I beg her. (“You are safe, Chi, they will not hurt you.”) She says. And she puts up the wall. I can’t deal with them being so close. I need space. I start to struggle to move away from them, but Axel won’t let go. “Please let go.” I whisper with tears in my eyes. Keeping my head down so they don’t see them right away. But I am starting to panic.
CHAD: Storm pushes forward all of a sudden. And he lets out his aura in slow, soft waves. (“Buddy?”) I asked him. (“She is starting to panic, I am trying to keep that from happening, at least, not a full-blown attack.”) He says. “Hey Chi, you’re ok, no one is going to hurt you.” I speak softly to her. “Axel and Steel will never let that happen again.” I tell her calmly. “I promise. You’re ok, Luna, I swear.” I speak softly to her until I can feel her start to calm, and whether it’s from my words or Storm’s aura, we get her to at least calm down. She isn’t struggling to try to break away from them, at least. I slowly roll back Storm’s aura, testing how she is doing. She is still scared, but her fear isn’t as strong as it was. That’s good, but only if it is her doing, and not her wolf’s doing. I know we have a long way to go with getting her to trust us. But hopefully we can get her there sooner rather than later. Especially with the current situation involving Rolan and the twins’ mother. I would much rather Chi be Luna than Louise. Even in her current state, she would be better than Louise.
VINCE: After watching everything that just happened with Chi, I know the twins aren’t going to want to leave. I linked one of the guards I trust. “Rusty, I need you to go to a department store and get four king-sized sleeping bags, four full-sized blankets, four pairs of sweatpants, and four pillows.” “On it.” I gave him the address where he needed to deliver them to. And then I sent a link to Valen. “The twins, Chad and I, are going to be staying with Chi tonight.” “Ok, is everything ok with her?” “Long story, but she moved out of the orphanage, and Axel and Steel need to be with their mate, but you know the history, Chad had to let Storm work his magic, so we will be staying here, I’m pretty sure. Let mom and dad know, but other than that, keep it to yourself.” I said. “Will do. Vince?” “Yeah?” “Do you think she will ever forgive us?” “I don’t know Val. Right now, I don’t even think it’s an issue of forgiveness as much as it is releasing the fear we instilled in her. And yes, there is a difference.” “OK, I will let mom and dad know.” I closed the link. And watched, just in case I would need to step in and help hold Axel or Steel back. I get that they need their mate, especially now that they have found her, but for her sake, they can’t push her too much,
