CHAD: but I would still gladly take it if it meant that she would see and understand that our apology was real, and that we truly are sorry. Hell, I myself would spend the rest of the year in the cells if it helps her to see that we are truly sorry for what we did to her. It is going to feel strange not having to stand vigil anymore. I know it sounds crazy, but I will miss it, for my own reasons.

VALEN: I am glad that Chiara is awake. I am. I just wish my world didn’t have to come crashing down around my ears. I believed the luna, every time she said that someone disrespected her. I was there to make sure that they didn’t do it again. Then, come to find out she was just using me, using us, it hurt, and it hurt badly. And now, probably half the pack is scared of me. I won’t know whether they are being nice because they genuinely are or it’s because they are scared. I can honestly say I don’t like that feeling. At least Iesha is honest with me. I just feel lost, as if I've lost my purpose, and I hate it.

CARRI: Like Valen, my sister and I are glad that Chiara is awake. And also, like Valen, we feel like we have lost our purpose, like we have nothing to do anymore.  After finding out that the luna used us like she did. Cassi and I wanted to rip her to pieces. And right now, I hope to the goddess that she rots in the cells. I don’t think that I will ever trust another word out of her mouth, unless I am standing right there to witness anything she says happens for myself. And because of her, now half the Pack is distrusting of us. The BITCH. At least Brandi still has the head warrior position to aim for.

BRANDI: I am grateful to the goddess that Chi is awake. My reasons are a little more selfish, I admit, but nonetheless, I am happy she is back with us. No, it’s not do to the whip, I would still take that as punishment, just to show her how sorry I truly am for my part in what happened to her, the beatings we gave her. That would be the least I could do for her. No, my reason is my position as head warrior. Dad threatened to take it from me if she didn’t wake up. Now that she is back with us, I will do everything I can to make up for my participation in hurting her instead of trying to help her. I probably was the only one who could have helped her, seeing as it was all the ranked wolves, but I joined them instead of standing up for a pack member. Now it’s hard to say if the Pack will trust that I will help protect them when it really matters. All because of the luna. Bitch.

LOUISE: This whole mess is why I can’t stand the humans; they are weak and pathetic. I don’t care that there are twice as many of them in the world than there are of us. We are the superior beings. They should serve us. And yes, I know that the wolves in the orphanage need our protection, but come on, they still owe us for putting a roof over their heads, and clothes on their backs, and food on their table. I know it’s not totally their fault, but if their parents were stronger, they would have come back from the many different clashes with the rogues that we’ve had. It just proves that they were weak wolves, and their offspring will be weak as well. And now Derric is turning our kids against me. Against my choices. I will not be dictated to. I am not going to clean anything!

IESHA: I went back to see Chi the next day, and as it was Saturday, I was able to stay with her a bit longer. I had brought her kit to her like she asked me to do, and I also brought the wooden necklaces for her to work on. “How do you plan on decorating the necklaces?” I asked her. She was whispering to answer me so she could still work on fixing her bracelet. “I have my seed beads that I will use to decorate them with, I may need to borrow a hammer and tweezers from you, though.” “What do you need a hammer for?” “Because I will have to smash some of the beads to decorate it like I want.” Then she started going through her kit. “Esha, will you go to my room and bring me my money? I will need you to go to the craft store for me. I need some beads and cording. I will have a list of everything when you come back, and I will give you the money to get the things I need.” “I can do that. Where is your money?” “Unscrew the bottom bedpost knob closest to the door. Pull up the string and untie the sock. My money is in the sock.” She whispers to me. “Ok, I will be back with it shortly.” I tell her, and she nods. It takes me about 10 minutes to go and get back to her. And true to her word, she has a detailed list of the things she thinks she will need to complete the necklaces. I take her list and head to the craft store. I hand the list over to the salesperson. “I have no clue as to what any of this is. Can you please help?” With the salesperson’s help, I was able to get everything on Chi’s list and get back to her in half an hour's time. “Esha, what has been going on around here since I’ve been out?” She asked me. “The Alpha has given all the ranked squad punishments. They have been spending every night in the cells; they each had to stand a 30-minute vigil over you until you woke up, and if you didn’t, they each would get a lash from the silver whip for every scar you carried on your body because of them.” I told her.

CHIARA: It took me the entire weekend to process what Iesha told me. I was shocked to say the least, I mean, the Alpha has never seemed to care before, so why now all of a sudden? And what about the luna? Was she getting punished as well? I will have to ask Esha when she comes again. Oh goddess, if the luna is getting punished, she will definitely take it out on all of us when it’s over. ‘Thank you, goddess, for sending me back. I don’t want to be the reason that they would have gotten whipped.’ I sent up that silent prayer. I had closed my eyes when I did. And I got a feeling of a warm hug in return.

CAIDEN: It was temple day, and my brother and I were waiting, but not patiently, I might add, for the flowers to arrive. We were going to make the delivery ourselves.
