Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 34
CAIDEN: *And it has nothing to do with the fact that it would save us from the Silver; we are going to get some of that anyway, with the training father has planned. I just want to apologize to her. If she dies, I will never get the chance, none of us will.”* I said to my brother. “Do you think that it will affect the girls any? I mean, other than the fact that they will either be spared the whip or not?” “I think it might get to Brandi. I think her dad has already gotten to her about not bullying the Pack but protecting it. And if we had been honest with Dad from the start, we wouldn’t be in this mess right now. It would just be the girls.” I sent back. “Get some sleep.” I said out loud. I heard the guys start to bed down.
DERRIC: After I got the kids settled in the cells, I went back to my office and started to get everything in order, as far as all the evidence was concerned. I had all the medical reports. Stating what the victims were wearing at the time of their admission into the clinic, at the time of their beatings. They all show that the girls were wearing green dresses, and the boys were wearing silver shirts. I had all the bank statements for April, as well as all the credit card statements for April, going back seven years, and I highlighted every transaction related to Nordstrom’s Back Stage. The blood test was inconclusive; too much time had passed to prove it was Jace’s, so that was a dead end. But everything else was there, pointing the finger at Louise’s involvement. I finally put everything together and put it in the safe. I locked it and left my office, locking the door as well. And headed to bed. I was up by 5:30 the next morning. I went down to get the kids up and set a guard on Louise. To make sure she cleaned the cells and didn’t try to get out of doing her punishment. The kid’s morning routine followed yesterday's, except for the area that they had to patrol. That would be the only change for them, until Chiara woke up, if she woke up.
JAYDEN: Father switched things up just a bit, so that we all ended up doing all the complex chess strategies from all the masters, all while under the influence of the wolfsbane, and the complicated math problems in our heads, at 10:15. He dismissed me to go take my turn on vigil. I didn’t argue; I was glad to get away from him for a while. On my way to the clinic, I saw that Rolan and Hayley were hanging out, as if waiting for someone. “Hey Jayden, you going to the clinic too?” Rolan asked. “Yes.” I answered him. “You guys must have done some pretty bad shit to have to stand vigil over a nobody.” He stated, with that holier-than-thou smugness he used when he thought he could get away with something. I would have knocked him on his ass, but I knew that I was in no condition to fight with anybody right now with the wolfsbane in my system. I slightly felt Steel stir at Rolan’s words, but the connection wasn’t fully intact. So, I ignored him and continued to Chiara’s room. Once I got there, I lit the candles. I tried a link to my brother just to see if it would work. “We need to go shopping after we get done eating lunch today. Steel doesn’t like the smell of the wax from the candles.” “Yeah, neither does Axel.” I closed the link, and I could feel it drain me, trying to hold it open. “Caiden didn’t tell us who she was yesterday.” Rolan said in that smug voice. “And I’m not going to tell you today, because it’s none of your business who she is.” I said. I was getting irritated with him. “That’s a pretty bracelet she has on.” Hayley commented. I looked to see what Hayley was talking about. Sure enough, she still had on the bracelet that my brother and I had picked out for her. I walked over to her. “Chi, I am going to take the bracelet and make sure Iesha gets it for you. OK? That way it won’t get lost.” I said quietly to her. I watched her face closely for any change or recognition that I had taken the bracelet off. But there was nothing. And I put the bracelet in my pocket. And went back to the foot of her bed. I want her to wake up I want to see her soft, light brown eyes, even if she is leery of us. I just need to see them. It would let me know that she is still with us. At 11, I walked over and lightly squeezed her hand. “I will see you tomorrow Chi.” I said softly. Then blew out all the candles. I looked at my uncle and his cousin. “Let’s go.” It came out a little harsher than I intended, but Rolan was getting on my nerves. I rejoined the training with the rest of my group. We hurried through lunch and went to the nearest store that sold the plug-in air fresheners. We bought all the Ocean Breeze ones that they had on the shelf and left.
VINCE: Since I was next in line to stand my vigil, I took the air fresheners with me so that I could plug them in when I got to her room. “By the way, I have Chi’s bracelet. Hayley commented that she thought it was pretty. I know that Chi wouldn’t want it lost or stolen, so I took it. I am going to give it to Iesha to put it away for her.” Jayden told us. “Make sure that you let the girls know so that they don’t freak out that it’s gone.” Caiden said. Chad and I nodded. At 12:20, I left to head to the clinic to start my vigil. I got to the clinic and up to Chi’s room. I am not crazy about the scent, but it’s not about me, it’s about Chi, and what she likes, and what might help her. I plugged in the room fresheners and took my place. I don’t really know Chiara well. I don’t know what she likes and what she doesn’t, except for Dracula, now. I am going to have to talk with Iesha and find out what other things she likes, such as books, music, and hobbies, so that I have something to talk to her about. I know that 30 minutes truly isn’t that long, but when you're in complete silence, it seems like forever.
DERRIC: I kept getting linked during the guy’s training session. “Alpha the Luna refuses to clean the cells.” It was almost like a chant that was playing on a loop in my head. By lunch, I had finally had enough, and I stormed down to the dungeon. “Louise, you will clean these cells. This is your punishment.
