Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 12
CHIARA: But I have my fingers crossed. For both. Me getting out and no more blood bags. I just want to get back to my room. The Twins don’t go to the orphanage, so I know I’m safe there, and I won’t have to see them until temple day, and then their birthday. Somewhere between the twins' birthday and graduation, I will be 18, I hope. Then it will be sayonara. I can’t wait. Esha stayed with me for most of the afternoon, so I wasn’t alone. But she had to leave before they served the dinner. Dinner was beef stew. Good, hardy root veggies, the meat was the poorer cuts of steak, but in the rich beef gravy, it was some of the best we ever had. I guess the clinic patients get fed better than the orphans. Dinner was over, and I was waiting to hear when I would be released, when the door opened and the Alpha walked in. I scrambled to get up, to give the respect that we have always been instructed to do, but I nearly fell flat on my face. He had to reach out to catch me. “I-I- am so sorry, Alpha, please forgive me.” “Calm down, Chiara, I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to talk to you.” “What about?” “What actually happened to you, to put you in here.” “I’m sorry, Alpha, but I am not a snitch. If I tell you, I will get it twice as bad, even to the point that they might kill me, like they did Jace. And not that I would care so much, but then I wouldn’t be able to try and find his family and let them know that their family members are truly dead.” I tell him. I don’t care if he knows what I plan to do, I won’t have to answer to them anymore. So, I don’t mind that he knows. “I could stop you, you know. Put a clause in the oath.” “You could, but I would break it. I wouldn’t care what happened to me. Jace’s family would have closure.” I tell him. “I see. It means that much to you?” “He was my best friend, so yes, it means that much to me.” “Why do you say they killed Jace?” “Because they did. Whether or not it was an accident or not, they did it, and they did it on the orders of your Luna. Do I have proof? No, I do not, except for the fact that I am in the orphanage.” “I see and hear things, I know things, but I have no proof of things. Your Luna can’t stand the human orphans. Thank the goddess that there aren’t that many of us here. You want proof, pick someone you trust that answers only to you, send them to the party/prom, and let them be your eyes and ears. But I will not be your snitch. I’m not even going. But I will tell you this, don’t use the Beta, Gamma, or lead Delta. All I want is to get through the rest of my time, take the blood oath, and get the hell out.” I tell him. He nods at me like he understands. “I will let you rest.” He says as he stands and leaves my room.
DERRIC: Well, that was a dead end, but I had to try. Little does she know, but she will be going to the Prom/Party. But I will take her advice, though, and I have the perfect person in mind. I linked my gamma to meet me in my office. I make my way back there. A knock comes on my office door. “Come.” “You wanted to see me, Alpha?” “Yes, Benton, I did. Come sit. I have a situation, and I am hoping that your nephew could help me out with it.” “Why not the kids?” “Because I believe it involves the kids, I pray to the goddess that I am wrong, but if I am not, I do not want to tip my hand to them.” “What’s the situation?” “I think that my Luna may be targeting the human orphans and using the ranked members to do it with.” “What?!” “Yes.” I answered him. “And because it’s the Luna, they get away with it.” “Yes.” I answered him again. “How did you find this out?” Benton asked. I pulled all the cards that Chiara ever gave me out of my desk drawer and handed them to him. “I just found out who it was that gave them to me.” I said as he read them. “Who?” “Chiara.” “No wonder they aren’t signed. If what she says, and you think is true, what will you do?” “First, lay down the law to the kids, and make them understand that my Luna is wrong, and that the ranked wolves are supposed to PROTECT the pack, not bully them, no matter who says it’s ok to do so. Second, I will have to punish my Luna, what or how that will look like, I haven’t a clue, yet.” “So, what do you need, Blake, to do?” “I just need him to be my eyes and ears at the party/prom, not to interfere with them but to watch and report everything that he sees and may overhear.” “I will call him now.” Benton says. And I watch as he pulls out his phone and scrolls through his contacts until he gets to the person he is looking for. “Guy, my alpha needs Blake for a very important mission next weekend.” “Will he miss the Party/Prom?” “No, it has to do with the event in question; he will be there, just as eyes and ears for the alpha. Guy, I am going to put you on speaker. These are questions you need to ask the alpha; he just asked me if Blake would help.” “Fine.” “Hello, Guy, thank you for talking with me.” “Hello Alpha Derric, Will he be in any danger?” “No, he shouldn’t be, does he get on well with his cousins?” “For the most part.” “Then, as long as he doesn’t let the cat out of the bag, and can report everything that his cousins, the betas, and my twins do at that party/prom, there should be no problem.” “You expect trouble?” “Not for him. But a possibility for some others, and I want an eyewitness to it.” “From the ranked wolves?” “Yes, unfortunately.” “I will get him.” We hear him calling Blake to the phone. “Alpha Derric is on the phone; on speaker, he wants to ask you something.” We hear Guy saying. “Hello Alpha.” “Hello Blake, I am hoping that I can count on you to be my eyes and ears for the Prom/party next weekend. I know that what I am asking for may be considered being a snitch, but I am asking you to be a witness to any inappropriate behavior from your cousins, the betas, and my twins. Understand they cannot know that is why you are there, and they will act freely, because what they do, they think they are justifiably right in doing it.” “Do you want me to stop them?” “No, just witness what they do and say and report it back to me."
