Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 131

DERRIC: *But change must come. I will send you a second chance, mate, one that will help you heal and Chiara to know her worth and teach her the Luna’s role.”* I heard a soft lilting voice in my head. “Salene?” I asked. But I got no response. But Night, my wolf, was calm after that. I let Louise’s body go. And I linked Nathan. “I need you to come and take Louise’s body and get it ready for the pyre.” I told him. “Tell me where you are, and I will be there.” I sent him the location where he could find her body. As for me, I needed to get cleaned up, I needed to get out of these clothes and let them burn with her. I stripped, shifted, and headed to the packhouse. I needed to check on the twins and Chiara.

NATHAN: I wasn’t expecting that link from the Alpha. He didn’t seem as distraught as I expected him to be. Maybe he had come to terms with things about his luna a while ago. That’s the only thing that makes any of this make sense to me. And Night must be on the same page with the Alpha, for him not to be devastated. But now that I know where I need to go, I get a team to come with me, knowing that we will need to take the Luna’s body back and get it prepped for a funeral.

DERRIC: Once I was back in the Alpha’s suite, I went through to the ensuite to wash Louise’s blood off me. When I was done, I came back into the bedroom. I was looking at the room with a critical eye. It would need to be aired out to get Louise’s scent out of it. I linked the head omega. “I need the Alpha suite cleaned, please, and open all the windows on this floor. And then please have all the Lunas’ belongings packed up and donated.” “Yes, Alpha, right away.” I closed the link and walked out of my room, leaving the door open for the cleaning crew. I headed back downstairs. I caught sight of Hayley. I think she might have been headed out to do her volunteer shift at the clinic. “Hayley!” I called out to her. She stopped and turned to face me. “Alpha?” “Are you headed to the Clinic?” I asked her. “Yes, Alpha.” “I will accompany you. We need to talk.” I said to her. “Umm, ok, but I am unsure of what we would need to talk about.” She said. I get that, because she wasn’t tied to Louise, she wasn’t family, and she isn’t part of my pack, so she doesn’t know that Louise is dead. I waited until we were on the path to the clinic before I told her. “Louise is dead. I will leave it up to you, if you want to put in for a transfer to this pack or not. I can assure you that Rolan will either be executed or banished from this Pack, never to return on pain of death. If the twins have their way.” I tell her. “How did she die?” Hayley asked me. “I killed her.” I deadpanned my answer to her. “She was trying to kill Chiara. So, I had little choice in the matter.”  I deadpanned my statement to her. “I am sorry you had to do that.” She whispers. “You don’t need to apologize for what happened. Louise had been forewarned that she would suffer the consequences of her actions. She didn’t listen, or she didn’t think the twins, or I would actually do anything to her. She was wrong.” I said. “But again, I will leave it up to you, if you wish to transfer here or not.” I said as we reached the clinic. I held the door for her to enter. I went to find where they put Chiara, and Hayley went to check in for her shift. No surprise, the boys had her put in the Luna suite. After all, she is their Luna. I knocked on the door. Jayden opened the door. When he saw me standing there, he just pulled me into his arms and held me. I wrapped my arms around him and held him tight to me as well. Then Caiden stepped over to us. Jayden relinquished his place to his brother. I took Caiden in my arms and held him tight. “We are so sorry, Dad.” They both whispered to me. “Hush, it’s not your fault, my boys, your mother was warned. I would rather it were me than either one of you. To save you from that pain.” I told them, as I had one hand on each of their shoulders. “How is your Luna?” I asked them. “She has another concussion, and the doctor wants to keep her overnight for observation. He took blood from her; He wants to make sure there is no silver poisoning.” They answered me in turn. I nodded. “Are you OK? You seem … calm.” Caiden said. “I know, I may seem a bit too calm, but the goddess gave me a message. She said that she will send me a second chance, mate. So yes, I am Ok. And yes, I am calmer than if I hadn’t received that message.” I told the boys. 

CHIARA: I was tired, and I was scared. The Alpha killed his mate because of me. He is going to hate me. The twins are going to hate me. (“No, they will not hate you.”) Thena says inside my head. (“How can you be so sure?”) I asked her. (“The bond. Even though you haven’t marked or mated them yet, the mate bond is stronger than even family. Because family can be mated outside of their home Pack, and when they are, they have to give allegiance to their new pack. So, yes, even stronger than family.”) Thena says. “Alpha. I am sorry you had to do that.” I said. It wasn’t loud, so I don’t know if he heard me or not. “Chiara! You do not have to apologize for Louise’s actions; if anything, it is I who needs to apologize to you for her actions.” The Alpha said. “You have been through a lot. Just rest. And don’t worry about anything.” Alpha said. “Do you need anything? Love.” Caiden asked. I found it hard to focus my eyes on him. “Why is it so hard to focus?” I asked. “You have another concussion.” Jayden answered. I closed my eyes then, and didn’t try to focus on anything. “I am a little hungry.” I said quietly. “What do you want? We’ll get it for you.” Jayden said. “Meat, I need meat. But I feel that it’s more for Thena.” I said. I heard them all chuckle at that. “How about a hamburger?” Caiden asked. “MMM, with sliced green olives, Swiss cheese, and garlic mayo.” I answered. “That’s new.” Caiden said. “No, I am craving salt, not tang, so the olives give me salt, where pickles give me tang from the dill.” I said. “Whatever you want, baby girl, it’s yours.” Jayden said. “Is there some special place
