ROLAN: I’ve been in training with the twins every morning since I got here. I work out with them until the girls leave for school, then Derric sends me on my way as well. That’s ok. I am waiting for my shipment. It’s Friday. Once I get it, I will be kept very busy with that. And with the goddess’s celebration day coming up, that will be the perfect time to introduce my product to the pack. Derric won’t know what hit his pack, and I will reap the benefits. And that will teach him for putting my sister in the dungeon. Bastard. Lunch time and my phone dings, I check it, and the message reads, {shipment sent should arrive at you today.} I just grin and put my phone away.

VINCE: I arrived at the clinic to start my vigil. I went to Chi’s room, pushed the door open, and it was empty. I went to the nurse’s desk. “Did Chiara wake up?” I asked the nurse on duty. “No Beta.” She answered. “Then where is she?” I asked. “I will check Beta.” She turned to her computer screen and entered something on her computer, then she turned back to me. “She is in her bath.” “What do you mean she is in her bath? She’s in a coma.” I said. “Yes, Beta, her bath, everyone gets bath or shower time 2x a week. She is in the whirlpool and getting her hair washed.” “Ok, when will she be back?” I asked, “She should be back in her room by 1.” She answered. “Thank you. I said and went back to Chiara’s room to link the Alpha. “Alpha, Chiara is in her bath time, and probably won’t be back before my vigil is over. Do you want me to come back to training?” “Yes.” So, I leave and head back to our training. I was passing near the gate, and I saw the delivery truck and Rolan. He had like 4 medium-sized boxes, which looked to be about the size that would fit maybe 4 full-sized dictionaries in them. But the way he was handling them, it was like they weighed nothing. I will have to speak to the guys about it. I continue to the training area.

CAIDEN: “What are you doing back so soon?” I asked Vince. “Did you guys know that they give the patients baths or showers?” he asked his own question.  The rest of us shake our heads ‘no’. “Well, apparently they do, and today was Chi’s Day to have a bath and get her hair washed, and she wouldn’t be back in the room until after 1, so I came back.” He said. We all nod our understanding. “I passed the front gate, and Rolan was getting a delivery. I saw him with four boxes. They looked like they were big enough to hold 4 full-sized dictionaries. But they didn’t seem to be that heavy the way he was handling them.” Vince said. “That’s interesting, wonder if father knows.” I said.

HAYLEY: I have been making sure to stay out of sight of Rolan. I have watched him during mealtimes, and I know my cousin is up to something, but I am not going to be a part of it. The last time I said I would help him, Valen nearly took my head, and before that, it backfired and I was the one left holding the bag, so to speak. Not again, no thank you. I hung out at the clinic. I offered to help the staff with taking care of Chiara, um, kind of like what a candy stripper used to be? Maybe? They contacted the alpha before allowing me anywhere near her in that capacity. Can’t blame them, or him, I suppose. Considering, if all those posters are real, and they are all of her, she has been through hell. And they want to protect her. I get that. So, when we get her back to her room, and she is dressed in a fresh hospital gown, I comb her hair out and braid it so that it isn’t going all over the place; it’s kept tidy for her. Then I pull out Black Beauty and start to read it to her. I stayed through Brandi’s vigil with her, reading to her. But I wasn’t going to be anywhere near Valen; that bitch is scary. No, thank you. So, when Brandi left, so did I.

CHIARA: “Salene, I know you said that I couldn’t stay, and I understand why. But can you tell me when I will go back?” I asked her. “Patience, dear girl, patience. Your body hasn’t healed enough yet. But when it does, I will send you back.” “Will I be able to leave?” “That will be up to the Alpha of your pack, dear girl, but you haven’t reached 18 yet.” I nod. “Do you know when my true birthday is?” I asked her. But before she could answer… “Chi, Chi, I want you to meet my friend Deena.” Thena calls as the two of them come scampering up to me. “Hello Deena, Thena’s friend.” I say to them. As I reach out to scratch them both behind the ears. “She is pretty.” Deena whispers, but I still heard her. “I told you she was.” Thena answers back. “They are sweet.” I say to the goddess. “I will miss them.” I say, looking at Salene. She smiles. “Yes, my dear one, I do know when your true birthday is, but I cannot interfere with things, so I cannot tell you. But you will find out soon, I promise.” She told me, going back to my earlier question.

JAYDEN: It’s been close to a month, and there has been no sign that Chi is coming around. I am not going to give up hope, though. I know that the goddess will return her to us. I don’t know how I know, I just feel it in my whole being. We are 2 days away from the goddess’s celebration. I need to talk to Iesha about what Chi’s favorite flowers are. So, we can give them to her for the celebration. Mother still refuses to clean any of the cells, so Father has kept her in the dungeon. I don’t know if he will even let her out for the goddess’s celebration, or not, and we are a little afraid to even ask him. No one wants to incur his wrath. We are still working on our wolfsbane training. Father feels that we are ready to take a full 1.5 cc of the stuff. I hate it, but we need to go through it, in case we ever find ourselves in situations where we end up getting drugged with it. We will be able to keep our wits and figure a way out. After my vigil, I head over to the school. I know that lunch will start soon, and I want to catch Iesha.
