Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 133
DERRIC: “Karen has the key; you can get it from her. I want you to check her office, go through her things, and find out when she was planning the ball, so we can be ready for it. I don’t want to cancel it or postpone it. But I do want to be ready for it.” I tell all three of them. “Yes, Alpha.” “Thank you, I do appreciate everything.” I tell them. “Happy to help. When will Chiara be able to take part in getting things ready?” April asked. “I am uncertain. I think the doc wants her to rest as much as possible, to help her get over her concussion. When you are in the Luna’s office, please take out any of Louise’s personal items. I need to call her mother and let her know what happened to her daughter. And ask if she would like any of Louise’s things. That is not a conversation I am looking forward to.” I say to my unit. And they all nod their understanding. “Thanks. I’ll let you all get back to it. I will be here for a bit longer than I will be back in my office.” I tell them. And they all leave. I go back into the room with the twins and their unit. “Boys, I think you need to let Chiara get some rest now. I know you will be back here for bed, but some things need to be dealt with before then.” I remind them. They nodded at me.
CHIARA: The burger was as good as ever. I am grateful to the guys for getting it for me. I was hungry, but now all I want to do is sleep again. I can’t seem to keep my eyes open. Iesha was the one who noticed that I was almost asleep when the Alpha came back into the room. “The Alpha is right. Chi needs rest.” She said. And she came and squeezed my hand. “Sleep, I will come to see you later.” She whispers. “Mm.” is all I can manage. Then I felt the Twins come closer. They both kissed my forehead with whispers of their own to rest. “Mm.” Then I was out again.
CAIDEN: “What are your thoughts, brother? I mean, we will have to give him some kind of compensation for his cooperation. I think he is probably the only one who might be able to help identify who took her.” I say to Jayden. “His compensation will be his life. If he cooperates, he can keep it. If he doesn’t, then his fate will be in the hands of the council when they come for his trial.” Jayden states in a deadly calm voice. “Very well lets go talk to Uncle Rolan and make him understand what his options truly are.” I said. And headed to the dungeon. When we got to Rolan’s cell, he was a whining mess. “Hello, uncle.” I said as we approached the cell he was in. “What do you two want?” He asked without looking at us. “We want to know who brought Chiara down into the bunker with you.” “Sorry, you’re SOL, BOYS.” He said, sneering the ‘boys.’ “Are we? Because you have the choice of helping us and saving your miserable hide, or don’t, and we will ask for the death penalty when the council comes for your trial.” Jayden tells him. We see him visibly blanch. “I have done nothing wrong to be put on trial for.” He says. “Ahh! Well, that is something that we disagree on. Dear Uncle.” I say to him. “So again, are we SOL? Or are you going to tell us who brought Chiara to the bunker.” Jayden asked him. “I truly don’t know who brought her down to the bunker. I don’t know everyone in your pack. I can tell you who it wasn’t, though.” He said. “Alright then, let’s start with who it wasn’t.” We spent the next 15 minutes compiling a list of names from him. They were the names of all the males who attended his orgy parties. “Ok, so describe the person you saw bringing her down there.” Jayden said. That took another 5 minutes to drag out of him. But once we had that, we left and went back up and out to our office.
JAYDEN: Once we got to our office, I linked the rest of our unit and the girls. It was going to be an all-hands-on-deck for this. I left the door unlocked for them so they could just enter when they arrived. I was trying to picture who would fit the description Rolan gave us. Did I fully trust him? No, but if it meant he kept his life, it was a better bet that he gave us a more accurate description than not. Once the others got to the office, I handed them a copy of the description that Rolan gave us. “Read it over carefully, and write down anyone you might think fits it.” I said to them. They took their copies and spread out around the room to think and compile their list of who it might be. I was looking around the room at everyone. It was strange because Iesha was here now. And with every right to be, as Chad’s mate. Change is coming, but how much none of us know, because the girls haven’t turned 18 yet, well, except Chi and Iesha. It will feel stranger still when Vince gets his mate, not knowing who that might be, our group right here and now, it’s probably one of the last times we will all be together as a whole. After that thought ran through my mind, another one hit me. Kent Thorton. He fit the description to a T. But we needed to be absolutely sure. I waited for the rest of them to finish with their list. When they were done, I asked them to read the names off one by one, so that we could take off any that we knew were not responsible. When everyone had read off their list, we were left with four names, and Kent Thorton was on everybody's list. “We need to be sure; we need to get him in front of Rolan to make sure it was him who took Chiara.” I said. “So, we need a plan to get him legitimately in the cells so Rolan can identify him.” Caiden says. “Can you trust him?” Brandi asked. “As far as this is concerned, yes. We told him that if he cooperated with us on this, he would be able to keep his miserable hide intact.” I said. “Yeah, but what if he says that he’s the one just to save himself and put the blame on this guy.” Iesha says. “She has a point.” Chad says. “I don’t think he will lie to us on this. He knows what’s at stake. And he also knows that if we find out later that he lied, he dies.” Caiden says. “What will happen to the guy?” Iesah asked. “He’s dead.” I said with a straight face. “But how is that fair to him? He was probably just following the Lun’s orders;
