IESHA: I look around, and I see my parents sitting next to my bed. “Daddy?” “Ssh, baby, it’s ok, you're ok.” “What happened? Why am I here?” “The Alpha gave you some bad news, baby, and you’re mind couldn’t handle it; it sent you into a state of shock, but you’re ok, baby, you’re ok.” “I couldn’t find Chiara, Daddy. I think they hurt her again, or even worse. Like they did Jace.” I whispered up to him. “No, baby, not like Jace, I promise.” “Where is she then?” “She is upstairs here in the clinic, Sweetheart.” “I need to see her.” “Babby, it’s late, you can see her in the morning, ok? I promise.” “Can I go home now?” “I will talk to the doctor.” I watched as he left the room. “Mom?” “Yes, sweetheart?” “Do you think that Dad will let us move, transfer packs?” “I don’t know, love, we can ask him, but why would you want to move?” “Because I don’t want to live in a pack where they don’t hold people accountable for their bad actions, because they think they are above the laws, and the rules of the pack, just because they are ranked.” “Baby, the Alpha said that he was going to do a full investigation.” “I’ll believe it when it happens. He didn’t punish Valen and the gamma twins when they put Chiara in the clinic two weeks ago.” “How do you know it was them?” “Because I was there, I saw the whole thing. I even told the principal, but he didn’t do anything, just let it happen, then he called in the medical staff to come clean up and take Chiara to the clinic.” I told her. “Sweet baby, you need to tell the Alpha everything that you just told me.” “Why? It won’t do any good; they are ranked, except for Brandi, and she’s the first Delta’s daughter, and she's training to take over her dad’s position. And my best friend is still hurt. Again. Not to mention that if I tell, there is nothing to stop them from doing the same thing to me.” Just then, my dad came back into the space where my bed was. I knew that I was in the general admissions area. “Baby, they want to keep you overnight, for observation.” “I don’t want to stay, Daddy.” “I know you don’t, baby, I know you don’t.” “Rylan, Iesha said that she witnessed what happened to Chiara two weeks ago.” My mom told my dad. “Esha, why didn’t you tell us this before?” “To what ends? They are the ranked wolves, if I told, they would beat me up too.” I told my father. I watched as his eyes glazed over; he was linking someone.

DERRIC: I got a push from a link, so I opened to it. “Alpha, this is Rylan. Iesha just told us that she witnessed what happened to Chiara two weeks ago.” “Will she talk to me?” “She’s afraid. She says that if she tells, they will do the same to her.” “Did she say who?” “Yes, the beta’s daughter, the gamma’s twins, and the first delta’s daughter.” “Thank you, Rylan. I will make sure they are punished. I promise.” “She told my wife she wants to move, because she doesn’t want to stay where the ranked wolves are not held accountable for their actions.” “I completely understand, and I wouldn’t blame you if you did.” “Thank you, Alpha.” “You’re welcome, Rylan.” I closed the link and called the ranked wolves to my office, along with the first delta. I waited for about 10-15 minutes for everyone to show up. “I know it’s late, but I have found witnesses to some of the things that we discussed earlier. Rich, this is going to be news to you, as you were not in that first meeting.” I handed everyone a copy of the calendars of the last 7 years, so they could see that my Luna was off pack grounds. “Alpha, what are we looking at exactly here?” Rich asked. This is the Luna’s itinerary for the last 7 years for this exact time of year. I am waiting for a report from the doctor that coincides with this itinerary.” I tell the group as a whole. “As I said, Rich, this is going to be news for you. Two weeks ago, Chiara Dawson was put in the clinic with bruised and cracked ribs, bruised back, and a concussion. The culprits that put her there are yours, the betas’ and gammas’ daughters.” I said to him. And watched his face. He didn’t like his daughter being accused, but he also looked genuinely shocked. “I have a witness to what happened to Chiara; she, too, is in the clinic right now, and unfortunately, that is on me. I told her that her friend was in the clinic in a coma. I was blunt, too blunt for her to handle that news, and she went into shock. She was the scream you may have heard earlier.” “Ieasha is afraid to say what happened to her friend two weeks ago for fear of them doing the same to her.” “I would like all of you to come to the clinic and help reassure her that she doesn’t have to fear ending up in a coma. She wants her parents to move because of it.” I watched their faces with that statement. I see the implication of the situation hit home to the ranked families. “Alpha, if what you are saying is true, what will be the punishment for the girls?” Rich asked. “ It depends on a couple of things. 1) whether or not Chiara pulls through. 2) How much they will admit to, and how much they deflect. What you need to understand, Rich, is that my Luna has used all of our children to bully the orphans and humans of the Pack. I know it’s not completely their fault; they were following her orders when they did the things they did, and she will be included in any punishment. Right now, I need all of you to help me defuse the situation. If we don’t give the Pack some kind of assurance that a punishment will be given to all of them, we will end up losing Pack members.” I say. “I will discuss what the punishment may end up being. I know I said earlier that they would spend a night in the cells for every day that Chiara is in a coma, and a lash from the silver whip for every scar she has on her body.” I took out my phone. and showed him the picture I took of Chiara from earlier. He blanched, and as the lead delta, and a hardened warrior, he still blanched at what he saw. “They did this?” I nodded. “Oh, sweet goddess!” he exclaimed. “Yes.” It’s all I could get out. “Please, I need all of you to help reassure our Pack members that justice will be served. Even though the guilty parties are our own.” I said to them. “Yes, Alpha.” I nodded and got up, and headed out the door. And headed over to the clinic.
