Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 99
CHIARA: And I can do the same for the small things I will need to buy. Plus, it will also come in handy for doing some of the smaller deliveries and getting some of the bigger orders to the post office. It only cost me $75. So, I was happy with that find. And I continued my shopping. I did ask about delivery, but the thrift store said it was only for a small area, and I was outside of it. I will have to find someone with a truck or SUV to help me move the bed I got. As far as a dresser was concerned. I found two 3-drawer nightstands that will take the place of a dresser, and I can get them to the efficiency one at a time in the basket on my bike/trike. I linked Iesha, it was strange, but for my first link, she was the person I knew the best. Plus, her dad has a small truck, and hopefully, he will let us use it or help me with my bed. “Iesha?” “Chi?!” “Yes, it’s me. I was wondering if your dad would let us borrow his truck?” “He doesn’t let anybody drive his truck, but if the cause or reason is good enough, he will help with his truck.” She said. I was crestfallen to say the least, but I was still hopeful that he would say yes. “I have a lot to share with you, and I will when school is out. I will meet you at your house.” “Okayy?” She drew the word out. I closed the link with her and spoke with the store manager. “I need to find someone to help me get the bed moved. I will be back before the store closes to get it.” I told him. And he nodded. And I left with the second of my nightstands. I got to the efficiency and got my things put away. I wasn’t nearly done with what I needed, but I have a good start.
LOUISE: I waited until I had some alone time on Friday to make my call to Rolan’s chemist. “I need the anise, the hormone, a strong aphrodisiac, and pheromones all in a liquid form and all mixed into one potent potion.” I tell the guy. “How much do you need?” he asked me. “As much as you can get me by the first part of July, and I will need to know how long the effects will last.” I tell him. “I will do what I can, but it will cost you, but because you are Rolan’s sister, I will give you a discount.” He says. “How much?” I asked him. “It’s going to cost you $5000; the ingredients you want don’t come at a discount. Plus, I need to get paid for my work.” He said. “Done. Just get me what I need.” I said. “Where do I ship it to? And who do I ship it to? And how do I label the product in question when I send it.” He asked. I gave him the information he asked for. Labeling the product as perfume. I hung up and deleted the call log. I will keep his number written down and hide it in my secret space. In case I ever need it again. Now I just need to figure out a way to get him and the others out of the cells. Then a thought hits me. I will have my mother call Derric and say that she needs him home. And because they don’t have anything much to hold him on right now, they will have to send him home. It’s the only thing I can think of to get him out. (“Mom, I need you to call Derric and tell him that you need Rolan to come home. Tell him that Dad is sick and Rolan needs to help take up the slack. Or something to that effect.”) I say to her. (“Is he in trouble again?”) She asked. (“It’s a long story, but yes, he is in the cells, but he really shouldn’t be, as I said, it’s a long story.”) (“Fine. But I will not be taking any blame or dealing with any of the fallout from the two of you! Do I make myself clear?”) She stated flatly. (“Yes, mother.”) I said. And hung up. And went about my business.
IESHA: It was strange having Chi in my head. Thank the goddess school is almost done. I can’t wait to hear what she has to tell me. And what and why she would need my dad’s truck for. But it will have to wait till I get home. I can’t help but be a little giddy with the anticipation of what she is going to tell me.
DERRIC: My phone rings shortly after lunch. “Hello?” “Derric, please send Rolan home. Bart got hurt on patrol, and we need him in the pack to take Bart’s place.” “What happened, Marie?” I asked Louise’s mother. “Bart stepped between two other warriors who were having a dispute of some sort, and he was the one who got the worst of it. And he fell into a patch of wolfsbane on top of getting beaten up, so his wolf isn’t healing him.” She said. Did I believe it? No, I didn’t, the timing was too suspicious, too convenient. Do I believe that Bart did do something stupid? To play along with what Marie said. Yes, I very much do believe that. “I will let him know when he gets back, he asked permission to go to a mating ball a couple of Packs over.” I tell her as a stall tactic. Just to see what happens if Louise comes and throws a fit about sending her brother home or not. That will be my clue that she called her mother to get Rolan released. “Well, I will just have to call him myself then. We need him here. Not at some insignificant mating ball.” She says. “I will leave that to you, then.” I say to her. And I hang up the phone. And I wait to see if Louise comes in, throwing a fit or not.
LOUISE: I was out at the pool, with an eye to the decorations for having the BBQ. For the graduation. “Shannon, Misha, how about we set the grill up between the changing rooms and the sliding door to the Packhouse, and that way we can keep an eye on the kids so that they don’t go making a mess going in and out of the House constantly. And we will be closer to the kitchen when we need to get things for the grill.” I said. “We will get the omegas to put up the banner over the gateway. And the balloons will go in the spaces between the windows and around the pool.” I said. Pointing at how I was picturing the setup in my head. They were both nodding and drawing up the grid as I was pointing. We had just finished with the diagram, and my phone started to buzz. I checked it. It was my mother. “Mom? What’s wrong?” I asked her.
