Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 88
CAIDEN: She said. “Can we talk to Chiara?” “No, she doesn't wish to speak to you, at least not right now.” Thena said. “Is she going to reject us?” I could hear the fear in Jayden’s voice as he asked the question. “No, she said she wouldn’t do that to us. Meaning, your wolves and me. But you have a lot to make up for. And I am not going to help you. Just thank the goddess that it’s me as her wolf; she knows me. She knows all of the wolves that will be given to the siblings of the ranked unit. It is because of this; you will not be rejected. And it is also because of me that another wolf will be spared the trauma of a rejection.” Thena says. “How? I mean, how does she know you? And the others?” I asked. “She was with the goddess while she was in her coma. She was put in charge of us to help her understand that we are not the monsters you showed her. But in fact, we are better than the human counterparts she has had to deal with, with the lot of you. She is not afraid of us. But you, on the other hand, she fears. You will need to work hard to earn her trust. And even more, to get her to love you.” Thena said. “We will do whatever it takes. I swear it.” I said. “Good, you can start by going back to your training, and let her come back to finish her tests.” Thena said. Both Jayden and I stepped forward and kissed her temple. Nodded and left. “We have an uphill battle in front of us, and it’s not going to be easy.” I said as we left the room. I just wanted to break down and bawl my eyes out. How are we going to get her to come back to us? I didn’t know, but what I did know was that mother was going to pay dearly for her part in all of this.
JAYDEN: I felt the despair rolling off my brother in waves. I wrapped my arm around him. “I know, brother, I know. But we won’t give up, we will fight for her. And we have one saving grace, at least she isn’t going to reject us.” I said as we left the office and headed back out of the school to resume training. “I’m scared, Jayden. What if she doesn’t come around?” Caiden asked. “She will, but we will have to be patient with her; we can’t rush her, and we have to support her and each other as much as possible. I know it will be hard, but she will be worth it; she is our mate. We have to show her that we will never intentionally hurt her ever again.” I said to try and ease him some. “But right now we need to get back to Father and training before he goes ballistic on us.” I said to him. He nodded.
DERRIC: I was waiting not so patiently for the boys to come back from the school. “So, what happened?” I asked them. “We found our mate.” Caiden deadpanned his answer. “Why so glum? Finding your mate is the best thing that could happen to the two of you. To any of you, for that matter.” I said. “It’s Chiara.” Jayden said. Then I understood why they were glum. “Did she reject you?” I asked them. “Yes and no.” Jayden answered. “What do you mean by that? She either rejected you or she didn’t. There is no in between.” I said. “Actually, there is.” Caiden said. “Explain.” I said. “She didn’t say the words, but she wouldn’t talk to us; she had her wolf talk to us. She wasn’t present; she pushed her wolf forward.” Caiden said. And he was on the verge of tears. “I didn’t realize that Chiara had a wolf.” I said. “When did she get her?” I asked. “Don’t know, but she had her this morning.” Jayden said. Putting his arm around Caiden’s shoulders. “Partner up, and take out your frustration in your training.” I said. I was going to go see Louise. “Vance. You're in charge.” I said as I headed toward the dungeon. “Yes, Alpha.” I heard him answer. I slammed into the cell area where Louise was held. “I hope that you can live with yourself, Louise!” I seethed at her. “What in the goddess’s name are you ranting about?” She asked rather tersely. “The twins found their mate.” I said. “Oh, Derric, that’s fantastic. Let me out so that I can meet my daughter-in-law.” She said. “I don’t think you will be very accepting of her. Considering you had them put her in a coma last month.” I seethed at her. “What are you saying? That, that no good human is mated to my boys?” She practically screamed at me. “Derric! NO! How could you let that happen?” She screamed. “I didn’t let anything happen, Louise, it was by the grace of the goddess, you know that.” I said through clenched teeth. “And now because of you, they may have to suffer through a rejection.” I said. “NO! They have to reject her first; they can’t accept her.” She said with tears in her eyes. “Oh, and new flash, she’s a wolf, not a human, as we all thought.” I through out at her. “Derric! Please, you have to let me out, I need to be there for the boys!” She cried at me. “I told you the only way you are getting out is if you clean these cells, as part of your punishment. And right now, the boys are not happy with you either. Considering they followed your lead and now they may be faced with having to go through a rejection because you have some insane hatred for orphans and humans!” I threw out at her. As I turned and walked away.
ROLAN: I watched the interaction between my sister and her mate with a bit of interest. And when he was out of sight and hearing, I asked her. “Why do you hate them so much?” “Father chose to stand beside a human orphan in our home pack. He never stood up for mother when the pack turned on her because he was always treating that girl like she belonged in the pack. And no, I did not bully her, I did not encourage anybody to bully her. Father just chose her. I will never forgive him for that betrayal.” She said. “So, I will make all the rest of them pay.” She said again. I just chuckled.
LOUISE: I have to get out of here, and if that means I have to clean these goddess-forsaken cells, then I guess I will clean them, but not for the reason Derric wants me to do. No, I need to get to the boys and make them understand that she is beneath them, that she is not worthy of them, and not worthy of being Luna. And I will teach her myself. How dare she think she is deserving of my boys! I will destroy her if I have to.
