CASSIE: “You two have started the party a bit early, haven’t you?” I asked them. “Maybe, but how ‘bout you join us, we’ll make it worth your while. I’ll even let you suck me off with that pretty little mouth of yours.” Trent said as he stepped closer to me. “Mmm, and you’d look good sitting on my dick as you ride me to the party.” Zane said to Carri. “What are you two on?” I asked them. “Ahh, that’s our secret. But if you want to try some, we’ll let you, but only if we get to have a taste of you first.”  Trent said as he reached out and grabbed my hand to put over his hard member. I could see that Zane had done the same with Carri. They were both high on something, but what? Was the question. These two were dating Sheree’s friends, and I didn’t want to cause them any more trouble than what would happen with their girlfriends. So, I linked Carri. “Link Sheree, Mia, and Reeha, let them know that two out of the three of their guys are hitting on us. And I don’t appreciate it.” I did that instead of linking our brother, because if we had done that, all the guys would have shown up and beat the crap out of them. And with the trouble that we all just got out of, I didn’t want to go down that road again. I watched as her eyes glazed over, so I kept both guys’ attention on me so they wouldn’t notice, not that I think they would care too much in the state they were in. We didn’t have to wait too long before Mia and Reeha showed up. The minute the guys saw their girls, they got pissy with us. “Your fucking loss bitches.” They whispered. Aloud, I said. “I don’t know what they are on, but whatever it is, keep them on a tighter leash, or next time they decide to come at us, we won’t hesitate to put them down.” “I don’t know what you’re talking about, and it’s you who needs to stay away from our guys.” Reeha said as she put her arm around Zane. And Mia came over to Trent and put her arm around him. “I will let that slide this time, but don’t talk back to me in the future.” I said to her. And I put a little of my aura behind my words. Both Reeha and Mia looked scared. I didn’t really want to do that, but their attitude left me with little choice in the matter. We watched as the girls led the guys away, with the guys being handsy with the girls, almost as if they wanted to screw them in front of us. That was crazy.

CARRI: That whole situation was crazy, but it was lucky that they were dealing with Cassie, because I, for one, don’t take too well to that kind of crap, and I just as soon hurt them to put them in their place than let them off with a warning. But one thing is for certain, the guys were high on something, and it has to be a rather powerful drug, or mix of drugs, to affect us wolves, even if we aren’t 18 yet to have our wolves. We need to let the guys know something is going on.

DERRIC: I picked a plain linen dress for Louise, no fancy dresses for her until she cleans those cells. I called in one of the female guards. “Go down and take Louise to the showers, then give her this to wear to temple. Then escort her up to me, and I will take it from there.” I tell the guard. “Yes, Alpha.” I continued with my work until the guard brought Louise to me. Temple starts at 3:30 and goes to 5. I know that seems long, but we have offerings that the Pack brings to lay on her altar, and that takes time. Every member of every family, unless it is a babe in arms, brings the goddess a gift. And as this is the flower moon, the gifts are usually flowers, whether it be pictures, or the actual thing, everyone brings something. I had bought roses, both red and white, for our offering, three apiece from Louise and myself. I left the boys to get their own offerings for the goddess. It’s time they spent their own money to get the things they want, do, or need. The guard brought Louise in. “Derric, I need to go do my makeup properly and put on a proper dress.” She says the minute she enters my office. “No, Louise, you will go to temple just the way you are. You are still under punishment until you clean those cells; you will not get the privileges due to your status as luna until you do.” I stated flatly. I hate sounding like a broken record, but she seems to need reminding. “Let's go.” I said. And ushered out of my office. As the Alpha and Luna of the Pack, we are expected to greet everyone as they enter, so we need to be there earlier than the others, and so do the ranked wolves. That includes the kids. We got to the temple to find the boys already there, checking the last-minute details. Then the rest of the ranked wolves and their families showed up to take their places.

LOUISE: I was furious with Derric. How dare he humiliate me in front of the Pack like this. Making me wear common rags to temple. I will be a laughingstock. Even the boys were indifferent to me. What the hell has Derric done to them? And Valen is keeping her distance from me. What the hell is going on with all of them?

JAYDEN: I see the look of confusion on Mother’s face, and the anger that came shortly after. None of us went up to her to greet her immediately. And it angered her. I can just see the wheels turning in her head. Blaming Dad for turning us against her. But she did that herself by putting everything back on us. None of us will ever believe her again, unless we are right there to witness it ourselves. I nudge Caiden as I see Rolan come in, and we watch the family reunion unfold. She clung to him like he was a lifeline. I could tell he wasn’t happy with how Dad was treating her. But he had better not interfere, or he will find himself in the dungeon with her. She would be out by now, too, if she would do as Dad says and clean the cells, but her pride won’t let her. And that’s on her.
