Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 36

DERRIC: “I know that some of you are still struggling with the whole idea of whether or not to put blame on the luna. I want you to listen to this.” And I played the recording back for all of them to hear, just how much Louise deflected their actions back on them, instead of standing up and taking responsibility for her part in directing them. “So, you see, your loyalty is misplaced in your luna. She put all the blame back on all of you. I will say that she did try to get part of your punishment reduced, and I will think about it. But I am not going to promise anything. It will depend on whether Chiara wakes up. Go finish your homework and vigils.” I dismissed them. I linked my ranked staff to come to my office, including the head Delta. “Vance, Benton, Rich, have a seat.” I said to them, “What’s on your mind, Derric?” Vance asked. “Louise.” I said. And I replayed for them what I had just played for the kids. “She denies everything, she deflects everything back on the kids.” I said as I got the rest of the evidence out of my safe. I handed each of them a copy of everything I had found. “She doesn’t leave the cells until they are clean.” I said. “As you heard, ‘it’s beneath her.’ I told her guard she doesn’t leave until she cleans them.” “Will it make a difference?” Benton asked me. “I don’t know, I honestly don’t know. I can hope. But when she has had that kind of predigests ingrained it’s hard to break them, unless your forced to see how wrong they are, and I have no idea on how to do that, unless I make her go work in the orphanage, which may not be a bad idea, but I would be afraid that she would directly hurt them herself, instead of sending the kids to do her dirty work.” I said. They nodded. “I know that I was genuinely shocked when they came and confessed to what they had done.” Vance said. Benton and Rich nodded their agreement at Vance’s statement. “When I heard them confess, I was so angry at what they said I almost stripped Brandi of her position right then and there.” Rich said. “I told her as much, too. So, I don’t think she has as much sympathy for the luna as the other three girls.” Rich said. I nodded. “Well, after hearing the recording of what she said, I hope the other three come around and realize that she is not everything she pretends to be.” I said. “But we won’t know for a while, because Louise won’t be leaving the cells until she cleans them. And I don’t care how long she holds out, and she will only get what any prisoner would get as far as daily nutrition is concerned, no special treatment, just because she is the luna.” I said to them. “I just wanted to give you all an update and pass on what I found. I’ll let you get back to it.” I said in the way of a dismissal.                                                                             

IESHA: I saw the ranked squad standing at the end of the sidewalk from the front doors of the school when we got out. I tried to figure out a way I could get past them without them noticing me, but it didn’t work. I was scared, not going to lie, I didn’t know whether they were going to beat me up just because Chiara is my friend or not. So, when Jayden handed me Chiara’s bracelet, I was shocked. I was still leery of them, but I took Chi’s bracelet, put it in my pocket, and left quickly, before they changed their minds and decided to come after me anyway. You never know with them who they will go after, or what little slight the luna may have taken offense at, to set them in that poor person’s direction. I went home and put Chi’s bracelet in my trinket box. And started my homework. I would go to the clinic after dinner to spend time with Chi. I hope she wakes soon.

JAYDEN: Well, I guess after hearing that recording, Father dealt with my issue of the girls not dealing with getting blamed for everything. Valen is taking it the hardest of all. She truly believed in mother. Even when the rest of us tried to warn her not to fall for it, she still did. I don’t know what Mom may have said to convince her so much, but it wasn't a good thing.

VALEN: I can’t believe that the luna would throw us under the bus like that. I believed in her. I believed it every time she said that she heard someone disrespect her. Now I find out that it was all a ruse to get us to do her bidding. I feel like such an idiot now for not listening to the twins. But she said she had a way that I could end up being Luna. Guess that is now out of the question as well. I don’t think I will ever trust her again, for anything, unless I see it or hear it for myself.

BRANDON: It was Tuesday after lunch when I finally got some answers to who the girl was. I didn’t know she was in the orphanage like me. And the fact that she is human is worse than if she were a wolf, at least if she were a wolf, she would /could heal, but not being a wolf, after the beating that I saw she took, I would be surprised if she were still alive. But they said she was upstairs in the ICU in a coma. If the luna thought that we were a waste of resources before, she sure as hell is going to reinforce that belief with the girl being in a coma. But the luna is the one who had her put there. After this incident, I think I will ask for a transfer. I remember my Dad talking about a cousin of his in a Pack a bit South of us. Evergreen Hills Pack, I think, something like that anyway. But yeah, anything to get the hell out of here. I asked if I could go see the girl, Chiara? I think that's what they said her name was. And they let me see her. I was shocked when I entered her room; she was pale and had tubes and wires hooked up all over the place, monitoring her. The posters told a gruesome story. And she endured all that. Goddess, I hope that they pay. I walked over to her bedside and took her hand. “I am sorry for what they did to you. I hope you pull through and get yours back on them.” I whispered. And then left. The dr. said that I could get out tomorrow. I can hardly wait. Once I’m released, I am going to go ask for that transfer. I don’t even care that I’m not done with school yet; there's not much left of school anyway.
