Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 35
DERRIC: If you refuse again, I will release all the proof I have of your involvement in all the beatings of all the orphans over the last 7 years. Every time you had the kids target Chiara, who is human and will be released when she is 18, to go out into the world. And with that evidence released, I guarantee you, we will lose Pack members. I told you before I put you down here that three families already want to leave. How many more do you think will want to leave when that evidence gets released! HUMM?
LOUISE: “Derric, be reasonable, I’m your Luna. Being in the cells, let alone cleaning them, is beneath my status as your luna!” “Yes, you are my luna, and as such, you need to set the example of how the pack should be, not mirror your predigests against the weakest of the pack. Hurt them when they already have nothing. You are supposed to build them up, help them be productive members of the pack, not belittle them, target them for ridicule and beatings.” He seethed at me. “I didn’t do that. Derric. I didn’t. If the kids did those things, I did nothing to encourage them.” I said. “You did nothing to stop them either. But I have proof that you encouraged them, Louise. And now you are standing in front of me blatantly lying.” “What proof do you have?” “I am not going to tell you until I can trust that you won’t go after the witnesses.” He said. “Witnesses? There are no witnesses because I did nothing wrong. Derric.” I practically yelled at him. “I told you if the kids did those things, they did them on their own. I had nothing to do with any of it. I wasn’t even here, how could I have been part of what happened when I wasn’t on the Pack territory?” I asked him. “It’s true you weren’t in pack territory; you set it up with the kids before you left for your vacations or family trips. There is a paper trail that can be followed, and I did. Tell me, Louise, did you tell them to kill Jace?” He asked me coldly. “Derric, please, what happened to that poor boy was an accident, the kids weren’t responsible for what happened to him, he got drunk, tripped over his own feet, hit his head on a rock, and died, how is that anybody’s fault but his own? It was a tragic accident, that’s all.” I told him calmly. He just stood there looking at me. His next words made my blood run cold. “The luna does not leave the cells until they are cleaned.” He stated coldly. Then he turned and walked away. “Derric! Derric please!” I called after him. But he kept walking.
DERRIC: I had a feeling Louise was going to deny her involvement and that she would deflect everything back on the kids. So, I recorded our conversation, so they could hear what their luna said about them. I know my twins know their mother would have done it, but I have a feeling the rest of them wouldn’t believe it without some kind of proof, so I am going to give it to them.
CAIDEN: School got out at 3:45. I told the guys that I wanted to go meet the girls and try to catch Iesha before she could head home, to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. Letting them know about the bracelet and ensuring that Iesha received it. My vigil watch ended at 3:00. We headed over to the school around 3:20ish, so we would be at the front door to catch the girls and Iesha when they came out. The girls spotted us and came over right away, but we had to be vigilant to catch Iesha. She was leery of us, and with everything we did to Chiara, we can’t exactly blame her for wanting and trying to avoid us as much as possible. Chad was the one to spot her. “Iesha!” I called out to her. She stopped and turned in our direction, but immediately dropped her eyes to the ground and wouldn’t look at any of us directly, and she was visibly shaking. “Y-y-yes, Alpha?” She stuttered. \[scared\] Axel said in my head. \[Yes, but she shouldn’t be.\] I answered him back. “Hey, Iesha, it’s ok, we’re not going to hurt you.” I told her. “You can look at us.” I said. She glanced at us, but then she looked back down. “Is there something you needed from me, Alpha?” she asked in a whisper. “Jayden has something to give you for Chi.” I said. She turned slightly and glanced at Jayden. He held out the bracelet to her. “I took this off of Chi earlier today. I want you to put it away for her.” He told her. As he held out the bracelet to her. “We don’t want it to go missing, so we thought we would give it to you to keep it safe for her. After all, she had you take it when we gave it to her in the first place.” He said. All the while, the girls stood silent and waited for us. Iesha held out her hand to accept the bracelet. “Thank you, Iesha.” I said softly to her. She nodded. I watched as she put the bracelet in her pocket, bowed slightly to all of us, and left.
JAYDEN: “She’s scared of us.” I said aloud. “Axel said the same thing.” Caiden said. “Can’t blame her, after everything that has happened to her best friend, and it is all because of us.” Chad said. “Isn’t that a good thing?” Valen asked. “No, it’s not a good thing. Fear is not respect; if they fear you too much, they leave the first chance they get. And if too many of them leave, there won’t be a Pack anymore.” I said. “Then where will we be? Without a pack?” I asked. “We only have ourselves and mother to blame.” Caiden said. “That’s not fair. You shouldn’t blame the luna!” Valen stated angrily. “No? who have you been doing all this for? Huh? Mother, that’s who. And now we have Pack members scared to even speak to us, let alone look at us. Do you like that? Because I sure as hell don’t.” I told her.
DERRIC: I linked the kids to come to my office. “Jayden, Caiden, bring your group and come to my office immediately.” “Yes, Father.” I had to wait about 10 minutes for them. That was unusual. “What happened? Why did it take you all so long?” I asked when they finally walked in. “Sorry, we were at the school waiting on the girls, and to give Iesha Chiara’s bracelet.” Caiden said. “Ahh. And what brought that about?” I asked. “Hayley. She commented on Chi’s bracelet, and I didn’t want it to go missing. So, I took it off of her and we took it to Iesha when we knew school would be out to give it to her for safekeeping for Chi.” Jayden answered. I nodded. “Sit.” I said to all of them.
