Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 112
JAYDEN: What happened?” Vince asked. “The manager just about pissed himself when he looked at who was renting one of his apartments.” Caiden told them. They both got a good, hearty laugh out of that. “Why did she want pictures of your wolves? Vince asked. “She wants to use them in her fabric/thread paintings, for lack of what to actually call it.” I answered him. They both nodded. We got back to the Packhouse and parked the SUV. And we headed inside. As we got closer to the stairs, it sounded like a party was going on at the pool, so we went to check it out. And found the girls out there. I pulled Caiden with me as I stepped through the sliding glass door. “What’s all this?” I asked, waving my hand at them in the pool. “It was too early to go to bed when we got back, so we decided to relax and enjoy the pool.” Valen said. I nodded. “Jayden, I think that I figured out the right answer for your other problem.” Brandi said. That was enough for me. I linked her. “Ok, spill, who did you pick?” “Leanna. She is even-tempered, and she never fell under the Luna’s influence, as we all did.” I nodded. “We rented a place right across from Chi’s for her. If she needs anything, please have her link us and let us know. If we need to get her furniture or anything like that, we will. Additionally, tell her to make up a story about traveling. We will fill her in on the true reason that she isn’t going to be on duty for a while.” I sent to her. “I will let her know.” She sent back. I nodded, and so did Brandi, in understanding. “Will one of you come take a few pictures of Axle and Steel for us.” I asked in general. “Sure.” Carri answered. She got out of the pool and dried off enough not mess the phone up. Caiden and I stripped and shifted so she could get the pictures. After she took about three apiece of them, we shifted back, got dressed, and just hung out poolside while the girls swam and played until bedtime.
LOUISE: After breakfast, I linked Simon. “Simon, do you remember the old bunker?” “Yes, Luna.” “Meet me there in 30 minutes, I have a job for you.” “Yes, Luna.” I went about my business, and when the time came, I headed out back to the bunker. When Simon got there, I motioned to the bunker, and he followed me down. “What do you need me to do, Luna?” He asked. “Between now and graduation, I want you to get extra wood over to the orphanage, and try not to be seen doing it, and if you know of any 11- to 13-year-olds who would want to have a bonfire. Direct them to the orphanage the night of graduation. I want that fire burning high and hot. No, I don’t want the place to burn; they have a fire pit. But I want that fire to be high and hot. It needs to be a distraction so I can get Rolan out of the cells.” “Do you think you can do that for me?” I asked him. “Yes, Luna, I very much can get that done. And I know just the batch of kids to pull it off.” “Good, and when I get him out, I will get him down here, so the other part of your job is to make sure the food that is here is still viable, and if not, replace it. Get enough to last a month.” I tell him. “Yes, Luna.” “Thank you, Simon.” He bows his head to me in response. And we both leave the bunker. With the first part of my plan set and in place, now I need to find someone to take out that good-for-nothing human. And all will be right in the world again. Just a week to go. Graduation is next Friday. And if all goes to plan, Chiara will no longer be an issue by the mate ball.
CHIARA: Sunday, I got up, made myself breakfast, and realized that I was going to have to do some shopping again. After feeding the four guys yesterday, I don’t have much left in the way of bread, eggs, and protein sources for breakfast. After I cleaned up the breakfast dishes, I went and took a shower, got dressed, and then I started on one of the thread paintings, for lack of really knowing what exactly the technique really is. I was pretty engrossed in what I was doing when a thought hit me. Iesha’s birthday is Tuesday. I need to figure out what to get her. Maybe if this thread painting turns out, I can give it to her as a gift if I can get it done in time. Which has steered the direction I am going to take with it. Esha loves roses and forget-me-nots. So, I will endeavor to make a small garden at sunrise with her favorite flowers as a birthday gift for her. I know it will probably take longer than that to make, so I will have to get something else for her, too. I know I can make bracelets pretty quickly, so I will make her one in shades of her favorite colors. I had a little time, so I wasn’t too worried. I went back to working on the thread painting. Then my phone started to ring. I checked the caller ID and saw that it was Esha. “Hey, I was just thinking about you.” “Ohh?” “Yeah, your birthday is Tuesday, so I was thinking of what to get, or make you.” “You don’t need to get me anything Chi. You being my best friend is gift enough for me. But if you insist, we can go to our café for coffee and sweets after school.” “Of course. How could we not? It’s been our tradition. So, of course, we will go.” “Chi? Will you still be at graduation even if you don’t pass?” She asked me. “I will go for you. But if I don’t pass, I will more than likely have to repeat the year.” I said. “Will you walk? If you pass, that is.” “I don’t know yet; everything will depend on whether I pass or not.” I tell her. “You will, I just feel it.” She says. “Hey, to change the subject, are you excited about meeting your wolf?” I asked. “Yes, and a little scared of the pain.” She said. “I will not lie to you, that first shift was the worst pain I ever felt, and that’s saying a lot coming from me.” I said. “But you will have your parents with you, so you will be just fine.” I tell her. “Chi will you be there to? Please?” She pleaded. “Of course I will, and then I will shift, and we can let our wolves get to know each other and go for a run?” “That would be great. You’re the best Chi.” She said. “Anything for you, Esha, you know that.” I said.
