CAIDEN: They know that Father hates to force the Pack, but he will, to get to the truth. Plus, there was Blake, and even though he isn’t from our Pack, his Alpha can command him to cooperate with Dad. And he was there, and he saw everything.

JAYDEN: “And girls, don’t be surprised if mother deflects.” “She wouldn’t do that!” Valen said. “Yes, she would. And probably will, so that she takes less blame and makes herself out to be better than what she is. She has done it before.” I tell them. “And as Caiden said, it would be better for all of us to come clean; we might be able to talk him down from whatever his harshest punishment might be for us. Remember, he said, ‘I will command the truth from whatever witnesses,’ he finds. And Blake was there last night, so he might just start with him.” “Then move on to the victims; they won’t be able to go against his command.” I watched the girls’ pale at that thought. “So, then what do we do?” Cassie asked. “Just tell him the truth, you thought you were following your Luna’s orders, and that she said she perceived them as being disrespectful to her, so you were just sticking up for her, and got carried away.” “It feels like a betrayal of your mom.” Valen said. “I understand that, but his punishment for us could be the cells, the whip, both, or worse. We don’t know what he will do. And I for one would rather spend a month in the cells than feel the bite and scarring of the whip.” I stated. And watched them all nod in response. “When do we tell him?” Vince asked. “After breakfast. So, eat up.” I said. And closed the link.

DERRIC: Louise won’t be home for another day, maybe two. But I still need to check the statements for the last 7 years. I go down to the Pack dining room to get breakfast. I see the kids gathered at their usual table. I hope that some of the conversation that we had last night sinks in. I take my seat and wait for the kitchen staff to serve me. I look up and see my ranked wolves come in. They all came over to join me at my table. “When will you tell them their punishment?” Vance asked, looking in the direction of the kids' table. “I figured I would give them today, and hopefully some of the conversation from last night will sink in, let them stew.” I said. “I also want them participating in their punishment when Louise comes home, so that they won’t be available for her next scheme. I want to see what she does.” “Any progress on the report from the doctor?” Benton asked. “I haven’t heard anything yet, and when I finish breakfast, I will be combing through the last 7 years of bank and credit card statements specifically for this month.” “Looking for…?” Misha asked. “Another pattern.” I tell her. “You heard Iesha last night, didn’t you? The female victims received a green dress. I can only assume the male victims also received something, such as a shirt, a pair of pants, or shoes, who knows. I will find that pattern, and along with her leaving, I will have some semblance of proof.” I said. They nodded. During breakfast, another thought hit me. When I finished eating, I went to the nearest tech store and had them copy the pictures that I took of Chiara, and then I had them blow them up to poster size. I am going to have them hung in her room, so when they are standing vigil, they are forced to look at everything they did to her. I know that may be harsh, but they deserve it. Once I am back in my office, I start the tedious task of combing through the statements. I get the 7 years of the monthly credit card statements printed, and I have the bank statements pulled up. So, I can compare them, cross-reference them, so even if she paid for the items in cash, I will see the differences and the discrepancies between the statements. I was about a third of the way through the third year when the doctor’s report came in. I did a quick scan of the document. I was looking for the clothes that the victims were wearing.  I linked the doc. “Nathan, do you still have the clothes Brandon was wearing?” “Yes, Alpha, when you said that you wanted that included in the report, I kept what was left of them.” “Can you tell me if there are any tags in them to indicate where they may have come from, what store, or even what they were made of?” “I will have one of the staff check that for you.” “Thank you, Nathan.” “Welcome, Alpha.” I closed the link. And I heard a knock on my door. “Come.” I called out. My door opened to all of the second generation. Both the boys and the girls.

CAIDEN: “Father, we have something we need to tell you.” “Oh?” “We are guilty of the beatings of the pack members.” I said. And watched his face. I don’t think he was expecting that we would come clean and confess to him. “All of you?” “Yes, all of us.” “I see. You know that there has to be a punishment, right?” He says. “Yes, we know. And we are here to accept the responsibility of our actions.” “Are you also here to confess the part your mother played in all of this mess?” He asked, “Yes.” I deadpanned. He nodded.

DERRIC: I was not expecting this. Not in the least was I expecting this. Maybe there is hope for them yet. I thought to myself.

JAYDEN: “I can honestly say that when it first started, we were too young to understand that mother was using us to hurt the orphans and humans. I realized in middle school that she was manipulating us. But by then, I didn’t know how to stop; I didn’t want her to get mad at us.” I told him. “We are all here to accept our punishment.” I said. “Good. The first thing you will do is to go tell your parents what you did. Then you will report back here to me.” He said. He was calm, almost too calm, as if he already knew and had everything worked out in his head what our punishment would be. I’m not going to lie; it’s a bit scary.

DERRIC: “Tell me, what store did your mother use for the dresses? And what was the visual sign for the males?” I asked them before they left. “Macy’s Back Stage. And the guys got shirts.” Caiden answered. “Thank you. Now, go accompany your ranked group to inform their parents of what you all did. Then report back to me.” I told them. “Yes, Alpha.” They all answered. Now that I knew what I was looking for, I went back to the bank statements and credit card statements. Sure enough, I found the trail. I highlighted every one of the transactions for the last 7 years.
