Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 92

VINCE: Jayden asked. “Yeah, I think we can handle them.” I said. “Good, put them across from Rolan, and let them all stew together.” Jayden said again. “On it.” I walked over to where Zane and Trent were sitting. I grabbed Zane, and Chad grabbed Trent and hauled them to their feet. While Brandi took Mitch from Caiden, we marched them off to the dungeon. “And let father know that we have the three of them in custody now.” Caiden sent through the link. “Will do.” I sent back and closed the link.

JAYDEN: After sending Mitch and his crew off with the rest of our unit, I looked around. Thank the goddess she kept her word. Chiara was still there, Iesha was with her, but she was still there waiting for us. There was still fear coming off of her. And I hated it. But I also understood it. I approached her slowly, as if I were approaching a wounded animal. Because in a way I was. Keeping my hands down and to my sides so she was able to see them. “Chiara, we need to talk to you.” I said softly. “Why?” She asked. “You are our mate.” I said softly to her. “Thena is your mate.” She answered back. “You and Thena are one.” Caiden spoke just as softly to her, not wanting a repeat of this morning, where she shut us out. “Oh, because I have a wolf now, I am good enough for you to talk to, be decent to?” She spat out. We deserved that, even though it hurt; it hurt bad. We took it, how could we not? She only spoke what she knew to be her truth. It wasn’t fully our truth, and Mother will end up paying a price, but what exactly I don’t know. But she will pay. “Chi, we know you’re upset, and you have every right to hate us; we aren’t going to deny anything we have done….” Before I could finish, she cut me off. “YOU CAN’T DENY IT!” She said. As she pulled up her shirt. “I wear the scars on my body. And you think that me, having a wolf, is going to change everything overnight, just because the goddess made us MATES?!! Think again. I told Thena I would not reject you, because I would not put her through that. But I, however, as me, I don’t have to accept anything, and she will still have her mates. Deal with it. I can’t believe that the mate bond that you all are so fond of, can just wipe out a lifetime of abuse.” She said as tears filled her eyes. Both Caiden and I were scared at that moment. We wanted to comfort her, to ease her pain, but how could we, when we were the ones who caused it.

CAIDEN: “Chi, it may not, on your end. But Jayden and I will never do anything to hurt you ever again. I swear it! Please give us a chance to prove it. We will spend the rest of our entire lives making it up to you!” I slowly stepped closer to her. I reached out to take her hand away from her shirt. I could see that it caused goose flesh to rise, whether from emotion or cold, I didn’t know. I just wanted to take her in my arms and hold her. If she would just let us close to her, she would feel how the mate bond would help to heal those wounds. Seeing me take her hand, Jayden also reached out to touch her. We both watched her closely and carefully for any sign that she was going to retreat. We saw how the tingles worked on her; she no longer had tears in her eyes, but she didn’t relax into our touch. But she didn’t pull away either. I will take that as a small victory.

CHIARA: I didn’t want to cry, especially not in front of them. I have given them enough of my tears over the years. I felt the tingles when Caiden took my hand, and again when Jayden rubbed his hand up and down my arm. I can’t deny it felt nice, but I still wasn’t convinced about them. I mean, their mother was still in the cells, and part of that is because of me. When she is let out, are they going to revert back to their usual condescending bullying selves? That is the question. And it remains to be seen. “Please excuse me, Iesha and I are going to go have a coffee and a sweet to celebrate my birthday.” I said to the twins. “Let us join you, our treat for you. To say happy birthday and commemorate the fact that you got a wolf.” Jayden said. I turned to look at Iesha questioningly. She shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t mind, I guess, as long as they can be nice.” She said. “We will. We promise.” Caiden said. I nodded, and we left to go to our favorite coffee shop. It wasn’t the hottest local hangout; it was off the beaten path, so to speak, but they had the best glazed donut holes in the pack, and their prices were fair. Esha and I walked in and went to order our coffee. I asked for two spritzes of caramel flavoring and cream in mine,  and I ordered two donut holes to go with it. Esha had a chocolate mint spritz in hers, and she too ordered two donut holes. The guys each ordered some fancy coffee drink, and they got half a dozen donut holes. The bill came to $25.00, and they seemed shocked at the price. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “Are they sure that’s all it costs?” Jayden asked. “Yes. This isn’t your high-end barista.” I said. “The coffee is just as good, and nowhere near the cost. And the donut holes are just as good, if not better than what they have at that fancy barista you like.” I said. “Happy birthday, Chi.” Esha said. Changing the subject on us. “Thank you, Esha.” I said, hugging her.

CHAD: After we got the guys put into cells, I linked the twins. “Hey, where are you two?” I sent through the link. “At House coffee and café.” I got back from Caiden. “What? I never heard of it.” “Exactly, it's a hole in the wall that Chi and Iesha go to. We’re celebrating Chi’s birthday.” Jayden sent. “Ok, but we should be with you, in case something happens.” I sent back. They sent the address; I passed it on to the rest of the group, and we headed out to meet up with them. “Have any of you heard of this place?” I asked. “Nope.” I got back echoes. “The twins are there celebrating Chi’s actual birthday.” I told them. “Yeah, she actually has a wolf. Which was a surprise to us today when we saw her at Iesha’s locker.” Valen said. “Yeah, it was a shock to us as well when we followed the twins to the school this morning.” I said. “And then sending you the information about Chi being our Luna.”
