Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 60
CHIARA: If it was going to get me out of here, bring it on. Hayley helped me on my walking rounds. I was told I had to do those 4 times, once after each meal and again just before bed. I opted to use the stretch bands after lunch, dinner, and before bed, thinking that it would help me sleep. And in between all that, I could work on schoolwork or the necklaces for the twins’ birthday. I split my time between the two of them, because I still wanted to get the hell out, even if I don’t go find Jace’s family. I am still leaving. I don’t trust that the luna won’t take it out on me, considering I’m the reason she’s in the cells, and Alpha Derric finally figured it out, that it was me who sent those cards. But the bigger question is, does the luna know, has she seen them? And did he tell her it was me? Because if any of that is answered in the positive, then I am screwed. No matter what, she will find somebody to get back at me. Oh well, I will take what I can get for now. And try to wait patiently for my 18th birthday to arrive. I hope that if I work hard enough that I will be able to be out of here by this time next week. That will give me time to resettle back in my room and take inventory of everything I have and everything that will be staying when I leave. I just have to make it through graduation. But right now, I need to concentrate on getting better so I can get out of here before the twins’ birthday.
IESHA: I had gone to my locker before going in for lunch to change out my books for the last half of school. When I closed my locker, Mitch was there. “Hey, sweet cheeks, how about you come party with me this weekend?” “I will show you a good time, I promise.” He said as he picked up my backpack and started walking away with it. “Mitch, give me back my backpack, please.” I knew that if I wasn’t polite to him, he would get mean. “What, I can’t help carry it for you? I can be a gentleman.” He said. “Heading to the lunchroom?” “Yes.” I told him. “Then I will carry it for you until we get there.” He said. “I can carry it myself, Mitch. I am capable.” I said. “I know, but never let it be said that I am not a gentleman and let a lady carry something this heavy when I am present and can do it for her.” He gave his little speech, talking loud enough for others around us to hear. “Aren’t you afraid that this will get back to your girlfriend?” I asked. “Why should I worry about that? She expects me to be a gentleman.” Yeah, as long as it was her. I thought, but didn’t voice it. “You didn’t answer my question.” Mitch said. “Sorry, Mitch, I can’t. I have other plans for this weekend.” “What could be more important than coming and partying with me?” “Helping my best friend rehab so that she can get out of the hospital.” I deadpanned. “Ah, yes, how is our sweet little human Chiara doing, by the way? Has she finally woken up?” He asked. “Yes, as a matter of fact, she is awake now.” “Ahh, good, good. Then, when she is better, she can come and party with us too.” “I can’t speak to that, but we need to get her better first, so to that end, I will be helping her to rehab this weekend.” I said. He nodded. And when we got to the lunchroom, he turned to me, hugged me, handed me back my backpack, and let me go on my way. That was totally crazy.
CASSIE: It was lunch, and I was headed for the lunchroom. I had my backpack on my back, and I felt a tug on it. I turned, and there was Trent. Looking like the cat that just swallowed the canary. “Hey, hot mama, how about you come party with us this weekend. I will make it well worth your while.” He said with a shit eating grin on his face. “I have things I have to do this weekend, Trent. Get your girlfriend to party with you. I’m sure she will be more than eager to take on whatever you had in mind for me.” I said. He came up alongside me and threw his arm around me, pulling me close to his side. “Ahh, come on, baby, don’t be like that. I’m just trying to be nice here, and you wound me.” He said. Keeping close to him. “Here, let me take that for you.” And he grabbed my backpack from me and hefted it over one of his shoulders. “Come on, I’ll walk you to lunch.” He said with his arm still around me. “Trent, I don’t need trouble with your girlfriend, and can I please have my backpack back?” “There won’t be any trouble with Mia; she expects that I should be a gentleman, and that is what I am being.” He said. Yeah, right, I thought and nearly snorted, but was just able to contain it. But when we were just shy of walking into the lunchroom, he stopped and slid my backpack off his shoulder and handed it back to me. “Well, don’t say I didn’t invite you.” He said and walked away from me. I shook my head and headed for our table.
CARRI: I had just reached my locker when I heard Zane’s voice from behind me. “Hey, hot and sexy lady, how about you come party with me this weekend? I’ll show you how a real man fulfills a woman’s needs.” Goddess, not this again. I thought. “Sorry, Zane, I have training to do this weekend, you know some of us have to do that, so the rest of you can have the free time to party. We are the ones to keep the rest of you safe, so you can party.” I said rather sarcastically. “Ahh, come on, baby, don’t be like that, you wound me.” He reaches down and takes my backpack, slings it over his shoulder, then reaches out and pulls me to his side. “Let me walk you to the lunchroom, and let me try to convince you that it’s I who can take care of you.” He said as we started walking in the direction of the lunchroom. “Look, Zane, no matter how much you think you can persuade me, you can’t. I have to do training; it’s part of my rank. So yes, I have to do it.” I said to him as we were walking. “Besides, I don’t think your girlfriend would appreciate you bringing someone else to a party and not her.” I said. If he wanted to carry my backpack, I wasn’t going to argue with him; it just means I don’t have to carry it. “And here I thought we were having a nice conversation,
