Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 86
CHIARA: Then, as soon as it started, it was done. But I was not me, I was… A WOLF?!! How was that even possible? I was a human!! I looked down and saw one black paw and one tan paw. I looked at my back paws. I saw one black paw and one tan paw, but on the opposite side of the front paws. I recognize those paws. (“Hello Chiara, I’ve missed you.”) I heard the voice in my head. I know that voice. (“Thena?”) (“Yes, Chi, it’s me.”) (“But how? I mean, I’m human.”) I said to her. (“No Chi, you have always been a wolf. But because of your particular circumstances, the goddess chose me to be your wolf, so it would be easier for you to accept the fact that you are a wolf.”) She said. (“So does that mean that today, Wednesday, or yesterday, Tuesday, was/is my birthday?”) I asked her. (“Midnight, the start of Wednesday, is your true birthday.”) Thena said. (“Thank You Thena. I do adore you. But I am a little sad.”) I told her. (“Why?”) She asked in a slight panic. (“Because I won’t be able to pick you up and hold you anymore.”) I said with a slight pout. (“Oh, silly Chi, I am too big now for you to pick up anyway, but you will always be able to hug me.”) She told me. (“Do you want to run?”) I asked her. (“Yes, please.”) I pointed her in the direction that the pack usually took for their runs. (“Thena, can we make it a short run this time, and I promise I will let you run all you want later, it’s just I have tests to take tomorrow, well, technically later today.”) I said to her. (“Of course, I will make it a short run this time.”) She answered and took off like a shot. I just sat back and felt the air rush through my/her/ our? Fur. I’m not sure which one to use. But right now, I don’t really care; I just enjoyed her running. We got to the turnaround point. (“Thena, we need to go to the orphanage, the back door, please, I don’t need anyone seeing us/ me naked.”) I said to her. (“Of course, Chi.”) She answered and headed for the back side of the orphanage. (“Umm, how do I shift back?”) I asked her. (“Just picture yourself, your eyes, your nose, your arms, hands, and legs.”) She said. And I did. The shift back wasn’t as painful as shifting into her. The next thing I know, I am lying there naked and exhausted. I get up and head inside and up to my room and my bed, and pass out.
CAIDEN: I was up by 6 am with Axel pacing in my head; it felt like a herd of buffalo tramping back and forth. (“Axel man, come on, do you have to be so heavy-footed?”) I asked him. (“Get up, Get up, Get up!”) It was like he was chanting in my head. (“Yeah, ok, I’m up. What is wrong with you?”) I asked him. Crickets, that’s what I got back, crickets. It was frustrating to say the least.
JAYEDN: 6 am. And I am wide awake, I am usually up by now anyway, but today Steel was feeling on edge, which in turn had me on edge. *(“Steel? What’s wrong?”)* I asked him. (*“Not sure, but you need to get up.”) (“I am up, buddy.”)* I said to him. *(“No, you need to GET up.”)* He said as if he were angry at me. *(“Hey, calm down, I’m getting up. Ok.”)* I got up and got dressed. I linked Caiden. *“Hey, is Axcel acting strange?”* I asked. *“Yeah, how about Steel?”* He answered/asked. *“Yeah.”* I answered back. *“Do you think that maybe something happened this morning on patrol?”* I asked. *“I don’t know, could be. We will have to wait and see what’s going on with them.”* He said. “I’ll meet you downstairs for breakfast.” I said and closed the link.
DERRIC: I was up at 5:30, reviewing the training plan and schedule for the twins, as well as the next steps I think we should take. I think we can increase their dosing by another 0.05 cc of wolfsbane. And then after graduation, I think we can start their silver training. Then by the end of the year, if they still wish to do the Meadow Lake training, I will let them go. And when they come back from that, they should be ready to take over the pack. I still hope that Louise will come to her senses, but I doubt she will. But Night and I are of one mind; if she can’t stop picking on the orphans or the humans, we will banish her. I won’t have my mate bullying the pack as she has done in the past. I just wish I knew why she hates them the way she does. Oh, well, that is a problem for another day; right now, I need to focus on getting the twins ready to take over the pack. And that starts with upping their dosage of wolfsbane, and to change things up on them today, I think I will start them with hand-to-hand combat and let them take the afternoon border patrol. I leave my office and head down for breakfast. I am surprised to see the twins down so early. “Jayden, Caiden, I am going to change things today.” I tell them. “Ok. What’s the change?” Caiden asked. “First, we are upping your dosage, and then we will start with hand-to-hand combat. Then you will take the afternoon patrol.” I tell them. “Dad, can we please skip the Wolfsbane? Axel and Steel are already on edge about something.” Jayden stated. That’s interesting. (“Night, did you get anything last night?”) I asked my wolf. (“I think we have a new shifter, there was a pull last night, but it was faint, hard to get the direction.”) He said. (“Has that ever happened before?”) I asked him. (“Once, when we were young, before we took over from our father. There was an omega that everyone thought was wolf-less, but shifted late.”) He told me. Then once he said it, I remembered the incident. “Fine, I will delay the wolfsbane, but I will not forgo it completely.” I tell the boys. “Thank you, father.” They both said. I nodded. And we got in line to get breakfast.
CHIARA: I was up at 7:30. I couldn’t sleep any longer; I was excited and nervous at the same time. I couldn’t wait to tell Iesha I had shifted. That I am actually a wolf. I am still trying to wrap my own head around it, but I need to tell her. And nervous about my tests. I have to pass; I just have to pass. Then I will have to figure out what I am going to do, being a wolf changes everything I was going to do with my life. If I leave, I will become a rogue, and I don’t want that. Maybe I will be able to transfer to another pack. Start fresh where no one knows me.
